Location is good. The breakfast and dinner at Harvest were good although it would have been nice if the soft drinks at dinner were included in the price given the amount of times kids requested drinks. I must say David at concierge is absolutely fabulous. Really welcoming. Remembered us from last year and was just as pleasant as always. Real stand out.

There wasn’t enough family friendly restaurants around. Fat noodle is a really good restaurant but wont allow kids up there. They should consider a second restaurant or similar at ground floor. The dumpling place is a bit over priced and small portions for a takeaway kitchen. Plus we didnt particularly like the pillows.

Clearly can see they were very under staffed- the first night attempted to call for extra towels and it took over 30 mins to get someone on the phone. The room was serviced each day- however a made bed and change of towels was it. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned- hair was still on the floor and toilet not scrubbed- the dust on the lights on the bathroom walls were extremely dirty. Shame they don’t have time to clean. Breakfast should be made more affordable for in-house guests- $55 pp is ridiculous

Location and service were fantastic. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. Room was clean, and we were able to check in early, and we made use of the stress free Valet Parking. The bed was very soft, air con worked well, and the block out blind made sure we were able to sleep in and take advantage of the later than usual check out time. Room service breakfast was absolutely delicious, and there were plenty of dinning options in and around Star City for all meals over our stay.

Rooms were not very well soundproofed, so I was woken by a family (Children mainly) running up and down the hall playing loudly (After midnight) and their parents yelling at them. Could also hear people in the next room talking and also using the toilet, which was a bit odd.

The room was absolutely exceptional! Stunning view (we had a harbour view room). Exceptionally clean. Beautifully furnished (luxurious). Coffee Machine. Absolutely dreamy & comfortable beds & pillows! We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite! It was magnificent! It had a lovely lounge area, dining table (for four), even a guest's powder room! The location is fantastic. A short 1.4km walk over Darling Harbour bridge to the Queen Victoria Building shopping centre. Loads to do in the area at Darling Harbour! We chose to dine at the Italian restaurant on-site, Cucina Porta - fabulous service, great food! And, bonus was using the new tunnel from the airport, our trip from the airport to the hotel took less than 15 minutes! The greeting on arrival was very attentive. The concierge helped guide us to check-in, carried our bags, and escorted us to our room. He also showed us how to use all the special features in the room (automatic blinds, block out blinds), TV's, Coffee Machine & much more! Amazing experience! Great value for money. We will definitely be visiting Star Hotel in Sydney again!

There was nothing we did not like!

The staff were so friendly they saw it was my birthday night away and upgraded my room to such a lovely setting overlooking the Harbour and at night the lights of the city. Loved the location. The room was magnificent. The bed was just so comfy and even though I only had the night there and to see the show it was the best experience I’ve had for a long time. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend anybody thinking of staying there will have a guaranteed wonderful experience. The food was delicious with plenty of options and the buffet breakfast was a hit with everyone. People there were friendly and noticeably having a great time. The were absolutely amazing and everyone I spoke to went out of there way to help me with anything at all. 10 out of 10! Go you’ll have a wonderful time and The Lyric theatre is there if you’d like to see a show.

I can’t really think of anything that I didn’t like. To me it was perfection 😊.

room requires maintenance 1505 : red stains through out dining/living room very noticeable and lots of them. Second toilet gets stuck flushing, down light in bedroom square one needs plaster repairs, couch velvet is not very comfy (outlived its use by date), both TV's lose picture (not volume) and the one in the lounge area actually turns itself off when ever it feels like it. Had a meal in casino in food court area - not cooked through properly dumpling soup. did not eat half of it.

Menu for dining room service , few options not really what I was expecting , service on the restaurants not up to the casino standards that I know . They garanted the 2 bed with bathtub however got there for head showers both bathrooms. I have a son who loves his bath time , which made the experience little less enjoyable

The room was immaculate and we were very impressed with the decor. Spotlessly clean. We stayed here as we were seeing Hamilton at the Lyric Theatre and it was so convenient. Dinner and breakfast were in the same location so we didn't need to leave the building which was great. I would definitely stay here again if I was seeing another show at the Theatre. The light rail was just downstairs and it was so easy to get back to Central Station to catch the train home. A great stress free experience.

We were attending a show at the Lyric Theatre so The Star was a perfect location. The hotel was amazingly clean as was our room and the bed was really comfortable. All the staff were very professional and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. We even had Dave the Concierge give a personal escort to show us the way out of the hotel to the ferry terminal. I will definitely recommend to friends and family as we loved our stay.

We were only there for one night, it would have been lovely to have had more time there.

The hot pool, pools and gym are fantastic. The food at the sports bar are delicious.

The big breakfast that we ordered through room service was dry; not as good as expected. The buffet restaurant at lunch was over priced; and the food was lacking a good variety of meats. This restaurant should offer better! The casino lacked energy, better music and entertainment, the atmosphere was plain boring. The guest service staff were rude and made us wait long time to get our members cards.
