Room was pleasant and location good for walking to various sites

2 problems. I made a reservation through Booking.com. When I tried to change the dates, the hotel didn't respond. I called them and they confirmed I could change the dates and sent me a confirmation. When we checked in, they said we had booked 2 rooms, not one. They said it would not be a problem but now Booking.com says they have been informed we did not show up at the hotel. Issue unresolved. Second problem, no one came to clean our room. We called (twice) and finally at 3pm someone showed up and made the bed.

8th floor was great; room right off of elevator was nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Shower products were nice, though I never use hotel hair products. The linens and towels were so nice as well. Decor was lovely. Umbrellas and robes in the room. I didn't use the fitness room but its pretty standard and nice, small because its a boutique hotel but I have seen smaller! We got the breakfast package included and the food/vibe/decor in the Commoner restaurant was nice. Also, there were lots of dogs in the hotel, YAAAYYYY

No major complaints: water - only fill up station that I found was in the gym. Valet closes at 11pm - probably no big deal on regular nights but on NYE we had to self park (which was readily available nearby so not that big of a deal)

I can't say enough how great it is to be able to stay at a beautiful hotel with my dog and the staff is so accommodating and welcoming of the pets. It is so wonderful. The o ly slight thing I would have issue with is that I had no help or offer of help with my load of luggage and bags. No one even offered to help with the doors either checking in or checking out. It was a real juggle with a dog and my luggage. Otherwise fantastic experience. We would not even consider another hotel and we have stayed in The Renessaince, William Penn and the other high level hotels in Pittsburgh. What sets you apart is the quirky, fun, friendly atmosphere and allowing pets!!!

As I mentioned in the previous question, no help with doors or luggage entering and exiting the hotel.

This hotel was by far one of the most extraordinary interior designed spaces I have ever seen. There was so much thoughtfulness in design throughout the hotel, the hallways were designed with a dark floral display. The room's featured a bird cage lamp that was remarkable and the overall aesthetic in the bedroom exuded joy while the bathroom exuded calm and peace. I appreciated the inclusion of an umbrella and a yoga mat in support of guest endeavors. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming as well.

The hotel has eclectic decor that is very well done. The lights are especially interesting in the public areas including a silk flower chandelier in the lobby and a chicken feet lamp in a lounge. The room lighting is warm, the fixtures are clever and there a dimmers everywhere. The best lighting in any hotel we have ever visited. It makes such a difference to have soothing and dimmable lighting in your room.

Everything about the room and facilities was wonderful. I specifically booked a room with a spa bathtub, which was gorgeous and very relaxing.

The night concierge staff was not very polite. It is a non-smoking hotel, therefore they behave as if all their guests should be non-smokers as well. I have no problem going quickly outside to an area away from the hotel, but to have an instant attitude change and be condescending because a guest asks for a lighter or matches is too much. There is an entire list of goods the hotel is willing to provide if requested, I’d be very shocked if nobody has ever asked for a book of matches or something before. It’s customer service basics, at least say no with a fake smile - but the two employees at the desk made me feel ashamed and uncomfortable, as if I had already done something wrong.

The location was great, close to everything, never had to walk more than 8 minutes to get to where I wanted to go. My absolute favorite restaurant though was the Commoner. The salmon and commoner burger were unbelievably delicious!

I had a dog with me, finding a place to walk my dog was a little challenging, it would have been nice to have a dedicated walking place on location. They suggested going down a couple blocks to the double tree, which I guess was okay, but it did feel a bit far every time I had to take my dog for a walk.

This hotel is elegant, beautiful, and you feel a sense of "high class" while your here. The staff will make your stay perfect, and they are always there to help. I had a bad experience the last time I stayed here and the staff fully embraced my comments and made it right. I could not be more pleased at the outcome of my stay. Thank you for making my valentines day weekend with my wife one to remember, we will be back!

I have nothing bad to say! Our stay was excellent and memorable, the staff made a world of difference.

Corner rooms with office living are the best. Complimentary Happy Hour was excellent, but should either start at 4 or run until 6:30 for those of us that work until 5-5:30 so we can make it. Figure out a way to add heaters to keep the beer garden open later in the season or at least make this space accessible to guests.

We loved the atmosphere and the staff. The rooms were very nice and personal instead of the typical "hotel feeling". We really liked the hotel and the staff. The bed was so comfortable. It was near the PPG paints arena and we were in Pittsburgh because of Pittsburgh penguins hockey.

One day they forgot to clean our room so when we went down and asked for new towels, the reception would send up the cleaning staff but after two hours we had to call down and ask for the towels again because no one had brought any. Only then did we get them. Also ordered room service and wrote that all three starters had to be vegetarian but the soup came with bacon sprinkled over it. Luckily, I saw it because of a slightly larger piece of bacon.. if everything had been equally finely chopped, I probably would have thought it was something else and eaten. Would also love if the breakfast was included.
