The fact that the Drinks in the fridge in our room plus the little extras in the bathroom were complimentary. The room was small and cosy,but very comfortable with a nice sized tv on the wall, and nice view onto the front, with a small.balcony, although too rainy to use that!

The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable! That's the only complaint, we have stayed at Mercure hotels before,and the beds are always good quality, and comfortable.

Comfortable,modern, convenient for Paddington

Background noise all night in our upgraded room. Think it was the large air con unit outside , my husband slept badly. We contacted reception but they couldn’t rectify. They said they hadn’t had previous complaints, but would get it checked by an engineer in the week.

Nicely furbished, not worn down, nice interior decoration. Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom.

Limited window view. Good location in regards to train and tube. No room cleaning one day, not sure if this was a misunderstanding, but the response when asked was that they were busy.

A comfortable hotel a short walk from Paddington Station. The hotel is situated in a quiet location, tucked away from the bustle closer to the station, and our room looked out onto the trees in the little square. The standard room is a reasonable size for London with a good sized shower and well-designed features like wardrobe space. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was just what we needed for our final night in London.

The bar in the lobby wasn't very well stocked, but this is a minor quibble.

The location was excellent, very close to Paddington station, in a nice neighbourhood. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a hole in the wall, told them in the morning, got it fixed in the afternoon, very efficient. A staff wasn't very polite, told them during check out and they promised to report to their manager and offered complimentary drinks. Their reaction to the issue was very assuring and made me feel that they value customer's experience. So, despite this issue, I would still rate their staff 5-star.

The room is a bit small, but its London, so its kinda expected.

Very clean and modern in decor with a nod to its history

The rooms are very small,. I paid for upgrade it was tiny and the rooms are not soundproofed I could people talking in other rooms and in the hallways then at about 2am I could clearly hear the couple in the room next having sex. Not a pleasant experience

The Staff were very helpful and friendly but not over bearing. We were given an upgrade on arrival and the room was one of the best we've stayed in. It was so clean and fresh I was really impressed. It was close enough to Paddington Station that it was an easy walk but far enough that we were out of the way. The whole hotel was clean and tidy and the attached Bella Italia restaurant was an added bonus. We will definitely be staying here again!

The only downside was the room above us was quite noisy and it sounded like there was running water in the ceiling when the were using their facilities.

A well equipped hotel close to Paddington station. I was upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise. This room was very well equipped with a lovely bathroom, balcony windows and minibar. I was only stopping off on my way home from a flight so didn't have much chance to sample everything. Breakfast offer was fine, but could be better (see below)

Breakfast is served in the Bella Italia restaurant, which is linked to the hotel. Initially I was surprised by the fact I needed a voucher when I arrived. I don't think this had been pointed out at check in, though I did discover I had a voucher later. Cooked options were fine, though other options a little limited perhaps. I can understand this arrangement, but it could be pointed out more carefully on arrival, and it's not the most inviting route into the restaurant! It's also quite expensive, but that is par for the course in London now, and it's reasonable compared to others

After having stayed in 4 other hotels in the area I loved this one. It is nice, clean, rooms are good sized. There is everything in the rooms a traveler might need - toiletries, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, hand lotion. All that neroli-bergamot scented. They provide slippers and bathrobes too. There is a complimentary minibar with some soft drinks and water which they fill up for you every day. The breakfast choices are amazing - I had French toasts with berries and honey - so yummy!!!

Location is excellent for Paddington Station, Heathrow Express, buses, underground trains. Room very modern, clean with complimentary soft drinks in refrigerator. For those who are not familiar with Paddington Station, there are two good stores in the station, Waitrose and Sainsburys, which I like to shop in for fresh foods/meals I can eat in my room. I'm usually too tired to seek out local restaurants, of which there are many in the area.

Breakfast is available in the adjoining Italian restaurant. But at 17 pounds, this is expensive! Only one lift, so you can wait a while. Rooms small.
