The location is great. Walking distance to everything. The decor is very nice. Being a beach theme decor it suited the location and the name. Staff are great. They always remind you that it is on QLD time as it is on par with the NSW border.

The car park truly needs some love. Very limited parking for the amount of rooms and street parking is difficult due to most of the surrounding roads being yellow lined. The pool I was not too sure of. The water looked ok but the base of the pool looked green so stayed away from that. Shame really considering what my weekend involved would have liked a dip in that then the surf

We love this place. It undersells itself, which is great as you are surprised and happy at your choice. It’s airy, open, simply but elegantly decorated and provides simple easy and appropriately beach accommodation. The staff are lovely, the rooms are simple but spacious and the age of the building and its facilities is cleverly understated by a homely beach house decoration and furnishing. The views are great and the beds and bathroom comfortable and clean. Great value for money we will be back!

Nothing really. “Not like” would be unfair but so others are not disappointed be prepared for an older establishment with character. But that’s a compliment for me as it has subdued homeliness that we liked.

I was pleasantly surprised. The outside of the building seems quite run down but inside was absolutely fine. It has a retro kind of charm. 80s style construction, which was quite endearing. They trying to keep it as modern and appealing as possible. The entrance was welcoming and the rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable and decor was sufficient. Loads of space in the room and there was a proper fridge. The pool was great too. My daughter had a lot of fun on the slide. The location to the beach and places to eat and drink was excellent.

The entrance is fantastic for an old Hotel, and the same throughout. The old has been updated quite well. It is rated as 3 Star and is a top 3 star for us. Location is great, just a short walk to the beautiful beach and all the shops for food and drinks. Clubs within about 5 mins easy walk.

The room had two different chairs, one lounge style but hard as a rock, the other chair is an outdoor metal frame with metal base. Not any comfort. The TV is small for todays standard but it was ok. Apart from the balcony setting, there was no place to sit and eat in the room. Still not anything to complain about.

Appreciated being given a room with an ocean view (although it is not a guarantee unless you pay for the upgrade). View was beautiful and I enjoyed it from my air-conditioned room on a very hot afternoon. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony. Large bathroom with shower over bath. Personal touch on a note left in room was lovely along with the two Tim tams.

The hallways and areas where the elevators are located were not air-conditioned and it was very hot and humid in these areas. Parking is limited and work being done further reduced parking area on street.

My husband and l absolutely love Greenmount Beach House and have stayed there many times over the years. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the beautiful view sitting on the balcony is so good. Close to the beach for a relaxing sit and swim or get the feet wet and Surf Club for afternoon drinks watching the sun go down 🧡 Beautiful walks, close to Twin Towns to see shows and have dinner.... Just an absolutely beautiful place my husband and l have been going to since the sudden loss of our son 10 years ago to suicide to find some peace and healing 😔💖

I liked level 8 facing the beach as it was high enough to see past the palm trees. Beds were very comfy. I liked the fact that Greenmount Beach House is the only reasonably priced place left in Coolangatta in which to stay at. All other places are simply unaffordable. It makes the location fair and equitable for people of all income levels.

I didn't like the rainforest section outside being totally cut down.It was beautiful from the 1980s onwards. It makes me fear that the whole place will be ripped down in favour of another expensive and exclusive high rise...gone will be the fairly priced iconic building which I have stayed at at least 3 times a year since the 1980s.

Thank you so much to the staff. I felt listened to and absolutely tended to by the person who checked me in and all the staff thereafter. Even when I had to get a parcel directed, checking in early (of course asking if it was possible prior to), getting a microwave and leaving luggage, everyone was professional, empathetic and extremely helpful. Thanks again; it's a wonderful place and I will be staying again.

The prices in the vending machines were a bit high and (this is clutching at straws here) I couldn't cast to the TV from my phone. And the windows were thin and let in a bit of noise, but it wasn't so much that it would keep us awake.

Conveniently located close to coffee shops, surf club and beaches. The reception staff were excellent. The room was comfortable, clean and had a nice view of the gardens. There's a microwave in the foyer to heat takeaway meals, and vending machines for snacks and drinks. A pool table and lounge area is located on level 2, which was great for getting together with family members.

Our room (716) had 'ocean views' through the garden area but was close to the noisy road that goes over Greenmount lookout and down to Rainbow beach.... better to choose 'river views' on the other side of the hotel. It would have been good to have breakfast available. There's a kettle in the room and very small cups, perhaps mug would be better. The bathroom is small but adequate. This is a older hotel that has been renovated nicely, within the restraints of an old building.

I come every year to visit family and I am so impressed with the value for money. I know this place always has the best price and although I would have loved to have a microwave and coffee machine in the room, it's perfect for short stays and there are heaps of restaurants nearby. The location is always beautiful of course and the staff are wonderful.

The only thing I would note is that the walls are thin so sometimes you can hear people from the halls and other rooms at night. Its such a shame because for one of the nights during my stay we heard loud snoring from the room next door. We joked about it and luckily I always being ear plugs when I travel, but its something people should consider when staying here.
