Once again, a last minute to stay overnight as we were all so tired from travelling. The location was great as it meant we didn't have to deviate our travels and the pool was just what the kids needed after a long couple of days on the road. Two televisions in the room was unexpected. Lots of food options close by and by past experiences we know that shopping centres are only 10 minutes away too.

Thought that the larger bed would have been in the separate room not the two single beds but we were all so tired it didn't really matter.

I have stayed before at the Colonial Rose, I like to be on the ground floor and find it very quiet. My room was set for a person with disabilities and that was not me. So the room was spacious, but a bit cramped in the shower area due to the specially chair/toilet chair. But I love that I can make coffee and toast in the mornings as there was a toaster in my room.

I have used a similar shower but it still had a main shower head. A proper shower head would be all the room needs. But I understand.

It was easy to find, far enough out of the city to be quiet. Very comfortable bed.

It was upstairs and having had a knee replacement earlier in the year I found it difficult going up and down. There were no ground floor rooms available unfortunately. On the first night there was a family in the next room which was very noisy until 1am. They had a small child which was screaming all the time but they ignored it.

Location is perfect for accessing other shops. Plenty on site parking. Secure rooms, block out curtains for a sleep in or early night. We had a King size bed, which was two bed pushed together. It was very comfortable, we slept well. Room was very clean throughout. Shower was fantastic. Large, easy access walk in shower which is great for older people. Water was hot and plenty of pressure. Towels supplied were large and fluffy, no face washer which was a little disappointing. Outside each room in a small table and two chairs which also provides a space to have a quiet drink, conversation in the afternoons. Large tv with access to movies, sports and news channels. Will stay again when in Townsville.

Close to the Mater Hospital Townsville. Liked the microwave and crockery and cutlery. Useful if you are staying a few days. 7 Eleven next door was handy, and walk to other eateries. Reception had drinks for sale as well. Bed was comfortable as well, and aircon worked well.

It was a nice and easy place to find it parking on site was a big one for me cause I don’t like to park on the street side and it was all around I nice place to stay

There was a coil thing that weren’t the best like the towel rack was half ready to fall off the wall and it wasn’t perfectly clean like the floor and there was dust on a couple things but nothing that bad

I needed a home base to keep my belongings, shower, eat and sleep outside of a busy work schedule. The length of my stay was very unpredictable. James was understanding, flexible, accommodating and friendly. The room was quite large, clean and provided everything I needed. The location was also central to my needs for work, and for some downtime leisure when wanted. I would stay here again and recommend to others. Thank you!

Cleanliness in general, pool was great, staff lovely, especially Restaurant bar lady, and owner was very accommodating.

There didn't seem to be daily change of towels/toiletries. For 5 night stay, there was no linen change, not sure what the norm is..place is looking a bit tired in general.

The location, and the staff were friendly & helpful and easy to move around. You find that you are at home already on your first day.

Nothing really, all good and I will stay there again on my next trip.

Was a beautiful place to stay. I mostly loved the view and how the rooms were displayed and set out on such a great building. Very clean and tidy indoors and outdoors also. Loved the structure and interior design the most inside the rooms.
