We appreciated the lovely breakfast buffet featuring yogurt with blueberries and a variety of fresh fruit. The coffee maker was a delight for lattes and there was an assortment of teas. Croissants, toast, cereals and more. Many people ate indoors but we preferred either outdoors near the pool or on the deck. It was a pleasure to walk along the palm-lined path to the dining area every morning. There are meals available Tuesday through Saturday nights. We enjoyed calamari and chips, beef tacos and chicken schnitzel burgers. The room featured a king bed with an amazing mattress, two bunks which we didn't use and a table with four chairs so very handy. The bar fridge was adequate, the usual cutlery and plates, and microwave. Air con helped from time to time. Housekeeping was wonderful, providing daily anything we needed. There are two pools, one for children and another deeper one for adults. In winter it was mid-20s and the water was cool so we enjoyed a couple of dips. Pool towels were available at reception. Before we had a rented wheeler, they even found a wheelchair to help with mobility! Lots of tourist brochures on display.

Unfortunately for us we were badly bitten by sandflies from the nearby mangroves and needed anti-histamines when topical creams failed to relieve the itch. We're not fans of the rain-shower style showers, prefer handheld.

My room was fresh, clean, quiet and comfortable. Great tv, bed & pillows were so comfy, new fridge & microwave 👌pod coffee machine. Happy with two continental breakfast included😁 cleaners checked room every day, changed towels, bins, bathroom shampoo. Staff were happy & helpful ☺️ In all, had a lovely stay!

Bathroom clean but needs update to match room. The small shampoo was good but no shower gel or moisturiser supplied. Old toilet. Looks as though the grounds may be going though a re-vamp slowly, nice but could look fabulous with some work.

King size bed was so comfortable plenty of room to walk around the beds. Pool was lovely and inviting. Gardens were lovely to walk around. Although bring mozzie spray. Playground near the rooms in the 100’s. for the kids. And bbq area. Bar area was lovely with big screen tv. And nice deck. Big screen tv in the rooms was lovely.

Not enough milk in fridge for coffee in the room, no hot breakfast choices in the bistro, dinner menu in the food van was lovely but very little choice, and no options for dinner for young kids. 2nd night we were there they were running out food in the food van. Contential breakfast was only included in room stay, But they kept running out of food. And spoons were not clean. Coffee machine was not working properly. For 100ml of wine in a glass was $10. They did not fill the small glass up. So $10 for a tiny bit of wine in a glass was a bit steep.

The Staff were lovely and very welcoming especially the young lady at reception. Rooms were spacious and well set up and a great Reno done. Beds were comfy and rooms tidy. Grounds work was well maintained.

Unfortunately the restaurant was unable to operate due to water damage during wet season, but hope to use it next time we visit. A little bit of maintenance needed to the tiles/rocks around the pool area needed and a little more cleaning under beds too. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

The bed was super comfy - we slept so well! Lovely room - very modern! We thought that the bathrooms could do with some modernisation too as this would have made our stay much better. The size of the mini fridge was excellent. It was very easy to check in and out. The air con was running so our room was lovely and cool when we first checked in which was great as it was such a hot day!☺️ we loved how peaceful and private it was!

The breakfast!! After a brief look around on our first morning, we had to leave and find somewhere else to eat because the plates were filthy, the hot food looked terrible and the place had no atmosphere whatsoever. We were highly disappointed with the breakfast. The bed was not made up (or it was done with no effort whatsoever) each day after room service, which was disappointing. We were really disappointed to find that there was no shower gel/body wash supplied when we went to shower on our first night (especially after a long day in the sun!). We were only supplied with shampoo, conditioner and a few bars of soap, which should not substitute body wash.

Good location, not so far from Esplanade but not too busy area Nice clean room. There were many power points in the room, easy to charge phones and everything all at the same time Plenty of hot water Although they say the room is serviced every 4th days of stay but our bed was nicely made, rubbish bins were emptied and we got fresh towel every day, thanks.

Mattress was too soft for our preference. Couldn’t use the power points in the bathroom. Plug wouldn’t have stayed in, kept falling out. Reported to reception so hopefully it gets fixed soon

Rooms were so lovely, fresh and clean. Beautiful towels, linen and furnishings. Very comfortable and lovely. Breakfast was really great, fresh fruit, blueberry coulis, yoghurt, hot dishes, egg, bacon, tomato, baguettes, toast, coffee machine, cereal, cakes. So amazing and lovely sitting area. Staff super friendly, professional. Chef makes excellent dishes, simple but homecooked, top quality. Loved the salads, best salads ever. Pool was so beautiful and warm. Heaven. So well organised. Laundry facilities very good. Will definitely be back. After staying in many other places on the Strand this place was a great price for what you got. And so peaceful compared to constant cars and hoons in the Strand strip. This is the best kept secret in Townsville. Thankyou.

For the budget price, this motel delivered a larger than normal size, very clean room containing little extras that meant a lot. For example, a chaise lounge so you don't sit on the bed all the time, microwave, coffee pod machine and bedside lamps. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable with good linens, large size rain shower head with plenty of water pressure. Location was excellent on a quiet street, close to the beach and easy access to shops. Breakfast was also included which was of good value and very friendly, helpful staff kept the restaurant running smoothly. The pool looked beautiful and inviting with lush tropical gardens surrounding it.

A couple more nights to make better use of the facilities.

Fabulous resort with everything you could wish for. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast unexpected part of tariff and exceptionally good with extensive variety on offer - full hot breakfast with egg, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, hash browns - all hot and cooked to perfection. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and toast etc. Room large and well appointed with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and all necessary appliances including fridge, microwave, tv and iron. Swimming pools (towels available for pool) and tropical landscaped and well maintained grounds with fairy lights at night as well as Bbq facilities, childrens play equipment etc.

Difficulty in finding location due to name change - Seahaven or Seagulls?

The facilities were lovely and relaxing. The pool was just right. Not cold not hot however a shade sail will need to be erected soon, before the water becomes like a tepid bath. Breakfast was included in our cost. While it is both a hot and cold buffet, the offerings were very basic and the juices were empty the entire time we were there.

The TV was playing up. Reception came to help immediately however all the channel 9s did not work. We didn't report that because the reception chap acknowledged that the guy who could possibly fix the issue was off. No major issues but goes towards the 1 point short of a 10. The other reason is that I'm in my 60s with a fractured leg and my companion is 78. Absolutely zero help was offered at check-in to get our luggage upstairs to our room.
