We've stayed at this park a dozen times over the past 10 years. This trip, we were impressed with how tidy the park was. The staff were very friendly and the cabin was clean. Good water pressure in the shower. Nicely located straight opposite the beach, great for fishing. Walking paths leading to kids playgrounds and all the way to kissing point and the strand.

Being winter, we needed more than just a sheet on the beds. There were 3 blankets provided, which our 3 kids used. It was a chilly first night. The kitchen was not well stocked for a family cabin. One small saucepan was more suited to a couple than a family. The egg flipper was melted with hair stuck in it, I went and bought my own to use. The shower head in cabin 15 was broken, so water sprayed out all over the floor. The sand flies are very friendly, be sure to pack lots of repelant.

Beautiful location on the Esplanade, the cabin had almost everything we needed. As a bonus there was a food truck located across the road for easy coffee in the morning and pizza at dinner time.

The drainage in the shower and bathroom of the cabin was very slow, water pooled at your feet every time we used the shower and in the sink after washing hands/brushing teeth. Also the provided wall mounted bottle of body wash was empty, I'm sure this could have been easily rectified by talking to the staff however we had a hectic schedule of appointments so opted to just use our own shower gel.

I was thankful to have a self contained multi room accommodation, previously was in just a single bedroom hotel & was not good with a bub! Aircons were nice & cold, and additional fans. Good size bathroom & toiletries in shower. Good size fridge, kitchen space, comfy lounge… not sure it would be the best if you had more than 3 people. Nice size verandah & park. Just across the road from parks, fishing spot & I think there’s a dog park a bit further down? Reception has a little store. Close to Castletown shops, Vinnies & food. Safe spot, we left about $600 worth of furniture & a $1000 pram on the verandah overnight, TV in bedroom & lounge, comfy pillow, cot fit in main room with some adjusting.

Room didn’t have an iron which was a bit of pickle for our afternoon photoshoot (I think it was meant to though), little ants getting around the room wasn’t great for bub on a mat/blanket, kids/bunk room didn’t have an aircon, needs a floor length mirror in bathroom, shower kept changing pressure & temp with pump which wasn’t great with bub.

We travelled to Townsville just after they had had flooding. Rained every night we were there but days were pretty good. Met by very friendly staff - shown where our cabin was. Very clean, plenty of room, air cons and fans had been turned on so it was nice in cool. Park well maintained even with the terrible weather. Facilities well kept. The pool was a favourite with many of the guests. Close to town for shopping and a great walking track beachfront across the road. Would definitely recommend this park for a stay.

Cabin suited our needs. We were out all day everyday so really only slept there and didn't get get to experience the park itself or surrounding area. Would come back here for a holiday though👍

No complaints. Just a friendly feedback - possibly previous occupants didn't realise that freezer door slides down to close. Freezer was iced up and couldn't fit anything in it. Ensuite door is missing its bottom guide. No frypans or saucepans 🤔

Warm, diligent & friendly staff, all up for a chat. Ground staff taking pride in their work. Fantastic location near the water & close to The Strand & facilities. There were no issues with midgies following a period of rain. My cabin was comfy with good amenities.

The unpowered van & tent sites near rear of property didn't look inviting. Perhaps some more selective landscaping to make the area more user friendly.The caravan park has alot of sites for such a small area & not alot of room to manoeuvre some of the larger rigs I see on the roads. Ideally, Tasman Parks should consider building a larger caravan park in the immediate vicinity.

I like the view from our room. the pool was inviting went for a couple of swims.

For a cabin it was clean, unfortunately the kettle was broken and needing replacing, the gardens around really need some TLC the toilet seat very old and needs repalcing. Really not much for the kids to do small park and pool that is it Usually a Big 4 has jumping pillow, little go karts. I wouldn't recommend a family of older kids age 7 up really nothing for them to do, the park was very quiet.

Good location, great facilities. Layout good, tropical surrounds. Helpful and friendly staff. Ensuite cabin clean and new. Good supplies provided.

Pillows need replacing. Three pillows on a queen bed, and all three were flat and paper-thin. Cleaners used a decadent amount of room freshener (??) so the studio smelled very strongly of 'chemical pretty', enough to give a headache. Early checkin organised, but no record made, so cabin not ready on arrival, however staff made an effort to get the cabin ready quickly.

Amazing location Clean park Beautiful beach , park opposite Swimming Nets up the road 30 min walk , 5 minute drive! The strand is 5 min drive away!! I wish we could have used the facilities but we were up for a death of my father in law so we definitely will return to be able to use the pool and enjoy our stay more. We wish we discovered this park earlier. We have always stayed on the strand but more peaceful at Rowes bay

The cabin was spacious and directly across the road from the beach. It was a nice surprise to have a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher in the cabin and a Webber bbq on the deck. The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking utensils as well as pots and pans, and ample crockery and drink ware for 6. The beds were comfortable and the shower has good pressure. The staff are friendly and helpful and the park is clean. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable.
