Location was good, convenience store next door and a 5-10mins walk to cbd mall and cafe / food places. Windows were superb with amazing view. Everyone we came across at front desk were lovely. Checking in and out was a smooth process. They have a vending machine here with pre cooked meals you can zap in microwave, we found this handy because we were hungry lol. They held and kept our bags safe for us when we checked out at 10am and picked them up at 4pm. Shower bathroom was clean. Bedroom clean and apartment was well and spacious for the 4 of us over the 3 nights. We enjoyed chilling out here.

We requested after hours check in and were accepted. We came from NZ and so when we arrived we tried calling concierge countless times. Our calls were never answered or we didn’t receive call back. I don’t know could be because our phones were from NZ and couldnt call through ?? who knows but literally when we got there, a lady walked in first with her key and we just followed behind lol. Also not gonna lie, the smell when you get off the elevator before your room is putrid but every where else is lovely.

Excellent rental apartment for a short term stay in Melbourne. Location is very central and within walking distance to all major sights and the free tram route. Apartment was well-equipped with everything you could need. Myself and my partner booked a one bedroom apartment but upon check in were upgraded to a duplex suite, which has two floors - bedrooms downstairs in two rooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. Lots of storage space (wardrobes, bedsides), and a desk in the single beds room. Plenty of plug sockets. Extra bedding provided in case cold. Bathroom was downstairs with great shower and also had a washer/dryer (need own washing powder), and clothes horse. Basic hotel toiletries/towels provided. Upstairs was open plan living space with a balcony. There was a dishwasher, TV, kitchen was well stocked for cooking, fridge and freezer. Heating was with heat pump/air conditioner unit. Everything in the room was clean and felt/looked new, modern and stylish. We were met upon check in by David who was pleasant and handed over keys and gave directions to our room. On site pool and gym were also available to use, open from 6am - 10pm I think. Didn't use the gym but looked quite small but well equipped with all the usual. Gym was always full/busy with residents. Myself and my partner both used the pool daily for swimming laps, bright, open and nice temperature, there are changing rooms, showers and lockers at the poolside. Pool was always quiet unlike the gym. Pool looks like in the photos. The apartments are in a residental building/village, so there are people living there but didn't make any difference to us. Balcony overlooked city skyscrapers and towards Docklands area. Small Asian supermarket next door on the ground floor. 2GB of WiFi is provided, no trouble using that, but if you have your own SIM data you can use that, I could access 4G from the apartment. Fast and big elevators to the floors. Would stay again!

When I booked, the photos provided did not accurately reflect the rooms. The room was much smaller than it looked in the photos and I was a bit shocked by the size. However, the style/aesthetic of the room was as shown in the photos. (Since I stayed I can see they have uploaded new photos so this problem is perhaps fixed as the photos do look like the room I stayed in). More information provided at check in would have been appreciated e.g. facilities, room amenities, WiFi, etc. We had to ask for this information. Also directions were not clear and we got lost on the way to the rooms due to strange building layout and inadequate signage. It is a new listing so maybe they are still learning about running the business so perhaps all these issues will be resolved soon!

We were close to everything and we walked everywhere. There's an Aldi down the road, 10 minutes walk to Southern Cross Station. Cole's is just down the road past the police station 😅 The Spencer Outlet was awesome, it has everything you need for shopping vibes, again it's just down the road. Pretty much everything you need is within walking distance, you can also catch the free tram around the city just make sure you're in the free zone. Also there's the DFO South Wharf across from the Crown casino if you really want to shop!

The location was convenient for our day-to-day, though proximity to train station a little disruptive. We valued the extra space (Superior 2BR) and vista, with full-sized fridge and functional room layout. Car park availability was welcome and well-utilised.

Housekeeping inconsistency (timing and amenities provision) kept us guessing, and some deep-clean elements (oven and stovetop, shower/basin surrounds) could have been better attended to. The couch was somewhat comfortable, but an errant spring in the centre cushion made the seating less than ideal. Poor air circulation in the corridors occasionally made entries and exits a little stuffy.

We arrived at 12pm and they let us check in for free. After checking out, they let us store our bags until we were ready to go to the airport. The same lady checked us in and out, and she was professional and friendly throughout. The view outside our room was nice as we could see the CBD. Due to the location, facilities, and amenities provided, this hotel is absolutely top value.

The doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms squeaked loudly. Whenever someone entered/left those rooms late at night, it was disturbing. They definitely need WD40. Another problem was that the individual aircon units inside the rooms don't seem to work when the central aircon was on. I had to turn off the central aircon for the aircon inside my room to start blowing air. Each of us has different temperature preferences which made it inconvenient when only 1 of them could be on.

The hotel has the best location --- 20 minutes driving from MEL airport, 10 minutes walk to the Queen Victoria Market, and 5 minutes walk to the southern cross metro station, Cole's, woolies and Chemist warehouse. It is also very close to multiple tram stations and is within the free tram area. We spent almost two weeks there. The manager was so nice to upgrade our room into a double bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking metropolitan Melbourne on a very low cost. Every staff is super friendly and easy to communicate with. It is definitely one of the highlights for our trip to Melbourne!

Our stay at Lumina Suites was wonderful! The room was very affordable and had everything we needed—fridge, stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. It was spacious and comfortable for two people. I especially loved the view—it was so beautiful I honestly wished I could stay longer. The staff were friendly and always responsive, providing amenities promptly whenever we asked. The location was convenient, and the on-site facilities like the gym and indoor pool were excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, value, and great service!

I couldn't find anything that I don't like honestly. Maybe checkout time at 10am was too early but alls good.

I love the frontline staff. They are so attentive and helpful. The staff are an asset to Lumina Suite. Location is fantastic. Checking in/out was a breeze. Very simple and fast.

Was allocated to room 2101. The knives are hopeless (not sharp at all). Should remove the rug at the living room. It makes the whole apt looks dirty even tho its clean. It will be great if there are instructions on using the oven. The hangers in the closet are hopelessly broken. The dishwashing machine has a very bad smell (i think its moldy) and we didnt dare use it. All washing are done by hands.

The room was lovely. It has a balcony and looks onto an old printing works…..so atmospheric! Block out blinds assured privacy and the a/c works well. Full size fridge/freezer, cook top and oven, and a built in laundry meant we had everything we could possibly need. The staff were very helpful and stored our bag on our last day until we came back from a day trip which was so appreciated.

It was a little farther away from tram services than we would usually stay, but, it’s Melbourne, you are never too far away from anything really! The shower was unpredictable, running cool, then scalding, but that was the only glitch.

The apartment was beautiful. It was clean, well laid out, and a fabulous view. Location is good and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The unit had everything we needed in the way of fridge, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and cooking. Bathrooms were excellent and did I mention the view! It was stunning to walk into.

The beds were very uncomfortable. They were hard and lumpy and made sleep rather difficult. The pillows were even worse. They were flat and I suspect very cheap and not suitable for an accommodation of this standard. I stayed in one bedroom and my adult daughter in the other, and she said the same thing. The other disappointment was the lounge - while pretty to look at, it was very uncomfortable and impractical. There was no way you could relax and lounge in front of the TV after an exhausting day sight seeing.
