the care taker was so sweet and all the staff as a whole were very helpful. the location was amazing and i felt quite safe as a girl travelling alone. the view was very nice and the facilities were all very clean. would 100% stay again

Oaks South Yarra was an absolute gem — clean, comfortable, and perfectly located in the heart of everything. The private balcony was a gorgeous little touch, ideal for enjoying a quiet drink. But the real standout was the staff — so warm, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. They made me feel completely at ease from the moment I arrived. I’ll definitely be coming back!

To be honest, I really can’t fault anything about Oaks South Yarra — the stay was genuinely fabulous. If I had to mention something, it’d be great if they had two-bedroom or interconnecting room options… but hey, I know that’s wishful thinking, lol. Still, it was perfect for what I needed!

Location was excellent - right next to a train station and walking distance to the shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, parks and the river. Staff were friendly and able to assist readily with questions or small requests. Great views of the CBD skyline from the 8th floor.

Noise from the train horns was bothersome, but we got used to it. Air conditioning in the living room didn't reach the bedroom so it was a bit hotter sleeping in the bedroom than ideal, but Melbourne is usually fairly cool at night so this won't be a problem for most people. Extractor fan in the bathroom was broken for our entire 7 night stay and unable to be fixed due to lack of spare parts.

All excellent; bed nice, kitchen adequate, powder for the wachine machine, good Foxtel etc. Proximity to a supermarket is excellent, relationship with local gym (100m) is ideal and better than the crappy gyms a lot of hotels have and the position 20m from Sth Yarra Station is brilliant and noise is minimal. Also trams nearby and river walk to the city.

Internet (wifi) was good during the day when people were out of the building. At night it was very laggy. Traffic flows around South Yarra can be horrid so car travel is only for the brave.

The layout is great. Even though there is a reasonable amount going on outside when closed up at night and the aircon on it was very qiet inside. Well located for supermarket and eateries. New coffee shop on the ground floor [yet to open] will be a great addition. Bathroom was good with good hot water and large shower. Kitchen pretty well equipped for cooking. Train right across the road with good links to the city and beyond.

It would be good if the handyman spent a few hours making good a few things that needed attention from wear and tear over the years. The equipment worked OK but it seemed the WiFi was a bit slow. I nearly rated it 9.

Nice property and good location for the tram and south Yarra. Reception staff super friendly and really nice however my apartment was not that clean the bed and bathroom were fine but the living area and kitchen was very grubby. Great to have a washing machine and dryer. There was a problem with my bathroom door it locked from the outside when I closed it and reception had to come open it with a screwdriver and I was told to not close the door, she said it had happened before but the person was inside the bathroom, hoepfully after me it will be fixed so it doesn’t happen again but not ideal, if there was a known issue just a quick mention when I was checking in would of been good just for a heads up. Apart from that it was perfect for a few nights.

I was really happy with this apartment and will stay again. I usually book in the city but the apartments came up on a special deal and I thought I’d give them a try. I was super impressed how easy it was to get into the city and to the concert venue via the train station right next door. Even though the station is close, the apartments must be well sound proofed because we didn’t hear a thing at night. The cafe underneath was an added bonus. Great coffee and snacks. Everything you need is well within walking distance. Will definitely stay again.

The outstanding personable service of Receptionist, Jenny and Manager, Arun. Both are very welcoming and do not hesitate to go the extra mile, for example in assisting tracking down a phone lost on an Uber ride. The location is great being a couple of minutes from the South Yarra train station, which links directly into Melbourne's CBD, and just off Toorak Road for cafes and a range of restaurants.

Road works near the hotel which are in the process of being completed. The flower boxes outside the hotel being empty of plants looked a little dismal.

The location was perfect. The room was equipped with everything I needed to eat in but also had easy access to all the restaurants or deliveries available. Very comfortable furnishings, great wifi, pretty decent movie and TV selection. Also very secure access to the room and balcony. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and secure within the apartment and when using the lifts etc

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable I've ever had but I'd also just had a surgery so it might have just been me.

We liked the area. It was right across the train station which was 2 stops away from Yarra River near Crown. The staff were very helpful especially Sunita who went above and beyond to assist us. The apartment was suitable for our needs but it felt a bit small, travelling with our 1.5 year old. There were nearby coffee shops and cafes which were helpful in the mornings. Paid parking was nearby and staff were very helpful with this. Great location, great staff with good facilities! 👍

The floor wasn't as clean when we got there. Our feet were quite dirty when we were walking around.
