The Como has a good “feel” and is located in a vibrant area with an excellent cafe around the corner, Maker. Como staff are skilled and friendly - couldn’t be better. The room, a Junior Suite, was special, large with a study and spacious lounge which opened up, through two french windows, onto a garden.

The in-room dining food quality and cooking was very average. They need a better chef.

The room was also a 10/10 – clean, spacious, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to the manager and team, who were incredibly helpful and understanding throughout my stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly stood out. I will definitely refer and recommend The Como Melbourne to others, and I will absolutely be returning. Room was spacious and well provided. Internet was good. Location was excellent for a one-night stay in Melbourne. While limited spaces, parking was managed well. Free expresso coffee machine in the foyer. Would stay again.

Original hotel was shrunk within the complex from its original plan, so the passenger lifts are on a different level with only stairs between. There is a secret baggage lift and staff assistance is advertised for heavy bags - it takes a while to understand the system and the staff know this challenge well and are only too happy to facilitate.

Nice sized rooms, an actual full length mirror. Good lighting. Good amenities. A bath in my room. Coffee machine in your room.

Nowhere to put your luggage to unpack. The breakfast room wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. The room service menu could have had a few more options, there was plenty of kids options but I wonder just many kids would stay at this hotel.. The desk was too cluttered with things, the arrangement of the coffee machine, cups, glasses etc could be better so you didn’t have to move everything to work at the desk. No basic mini bar, for this caliber hotel I would have expected at least some bottles of water in the room There was one disturbing thing, I could constantly hear either the cistern from upstairs or next door when the toilet was flushed. I was on the 5th floor with only the pool / gym above me, but this was at all times including during the night which woke me a few times…

Room was fantastic - very spacious and cosy. Great wall bracket on the TV to help face the couch or bed. Gym and pool were delightful. Staff were friendly & more generally, hotel was in a great location.

Wasn't a big issue, but room service food was a little underwhelming for the price. Menu was fine to navigate in general, but didn't have images for everything which would've helped. Bathroom a little outdated but still very functional.

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff.

Cleaning not to highest standard, understaffed, had to consistently request sugar and coffee in room to be replenished. Rooms are looking quite old and tired. Bathtub discoloured and stained. Shower was in bathtub with very high sides. Not suitable for elderly people. Had to request room with walk in shower for my mother. Floor tiles dangerously slippery in bathrooms. Almost no drawer storage in room, had to keep my clothes in my suitcase. Can’t open windows in the room and had to keep curtains closed day and night as other rooms looked directly in to the bed which made it feel very claustrophobic.

As first visit to Melbourne everything was brilliant , hotel , staff, location. Our family recommended the hotel as they also were staying there. Four couples in all and it was amazing. We had a wedding in Camberwell so very convenient for us. I would personally like to mention a very happy, warm staff member who attended our room and looked after us with out exception.........Marisol......a lovely Chilean lady, I hope that I have spelt her name correctly. Beautiful.

First time staying at the Como, it was great. Lovely rooms, so much more than I expected. Staff were lovely, parking is convenient although it's good to keep in mind that parking at the location is limited and outside, essentially a first in best dressed. Wish I'd had the time to enjoy the restaurant and the other facilities such as the pool and gym.

The parking situation is a sticking point personally. Limited space available onsite, it's outside, and close to $50 a night, some parks are not suitable for larger vehicles (I drive a HiLux). Alternative parking is a public parking lot thats just down the road, it too is a bit expensive and I personally don't like the idea of leaving my vehicle there. But each to their own preference.

The locations was fantastic. Close to trams and shopping of Chapel street. Yet it was incredibly quiet! The pool was a great addition if staying in warmer months. Our 2 bedroom apartment was fantastic for a family of 4 with 2 teens.

The bathrooms are ready for an update in style but absolutely fine.

room was a great size, very clean, had a decent-sized tub, and the shower pressure was amazing. We loved that the TV swivelled to the bed.

the shower leaked water onto the floor a bit which could be a little dangerous. the chromecast feature wasn't working at all on the TV. It would be great if there were more details about the bathroom on the listing for the room when booking, the main reason we picked the como in south yarra rather than going into the city was for the bath.
