Second time staying at the Olsen. Great location, short walk to everything you need. Shower was lovely. Room was spacious. Staff were great, asked us how our stay was which is often not asked any more

I didn’t like that in an apartment style room the fridge was full of mini bar items. One shelf I can understand but not the whole fridge I think the rooms are needing a little TLC, curtains were coming off the wall.

Rooms were lovely, neat, clean, felt modern and new. Bathroom was clean and hot water was hot with decent pressure. Heat pool was good, big sized pool too. Bar and restaurant was convenient, staff were great. Hotel on the main road of Chapel, close to shops, restaurants and trams. Room was quiet and couldn't hear the traffic being on the main road.

In the photos there was a spa jacuzzi, the photo was also used in the lifts. Another couple and us were looking for this spa but this is only for the penthouse guests. Oh well pool was good enough, it's open so was a tad cold but nice with the breeze.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here for our anniversary. The room was a good size with a huge balcony. We asked for robes and they were delivered to our room within minutes - beautiful, soft towelling bathrobes. The bed is just amazing. Such a comfortable mattress. And the room was so quiet. The usual tea/coffee supplies and a kettle along with a coffee pod machine - perfect. Breakfast was a la carte and with great choices and all delicious. Excellent coffee! I love the little touches of a lolly station in reception - couldn't resist trying a few. It is in a great location for all the shopping, bars and restaurants of South Yarra. We loved it and look forward to returning.

Tv was postioned to the side of the bed - a very minor concern.

When I arrived early intending to just store my bag, the man on the reception tried his best to provide a room to check into and was forthcoming with all my room options, so I did so at about noon. I liked the room's aspect and quality. I really liked the flexibility of the staff person in the restaurant who provided me with a fresh juice as my complimentary drink, and I didn't have to explain that I didn't drink alcohol of coffee. You provided a great map that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Sweets in foyer were a cute touch.

One day only had 1 of 3 elevators working, so the wait to leave the 12th floor seemed excessive. On the evening of 3/7, I fell with my whole torso hitting the ground outside as I approached the front door where there's a lip about 1 inch high across the driveway. Obviously, I didn't see it, and a couple of people outside came to my aid, but I was ok. I chose not to alert staff of that tripping hazard because I thought it pointless as that seemed part of the tiled structure as opposed to a something loose or broken, however it could have been made more visible on approach.

It was perfectly located close to the train station to get around the city. The room was well set up for a family - the kitchenette was well equipped and the dish drawer was a bonus - although we mainly ate out, it meant we could have a few simple meals in our room. As a family of 4 sharing a twin room, the room was more spacious than most and we felt we had plenty of space for our weeks stay. Plus the pool was a lovely extra especially at the end of a hot day. The staff were very friendly and we particularly appreciated being able to check in early.

The location in South Yarra was great. It was just around the corner from the station and close to the tram stop. There were lots of great restaurants nearby including Woolworths for convenience. The rooms had a kitchen which was basic but enough for us to have breakfast or heat up left over food. The room was a great size and the shower was strong. The sun deck and pool were a nice option. The price for our new year stay could not be beaten. It was wonderful to have a window to air out the apartment and keep it cool without needing to use the air-conditioning.

While my pillow was fine my partner's pillow was lumpy. It was also a little bit noisy, as the air-conditioning unit ticked and the rooms were not sound proofed as people walked to and from the lifts. Additionally, my white eye mask got lost (possibly in the changing of our bed sheet) and I was unable to find it.

the upgrade was much appreciated I booked on Booking.com the room with kitchenette but the 1st room didnt have it , not the coffee machine not a microwave ...anyway i was moved into the room that had it all and in a much quieter corner ( 1st one was overlooking the Chapel st ...tram makes it hard to sleep) The POOL was great and big ! sort of outside and heated. the Staff very polite and helpful :)

Bed is quite hard ...for me... i have a bad back so ability to function the next day is important. Swimming has helped to loosen it up .

Lovely room with good layout, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were upbeat and professional. Free lolly bar at reception was a fun touch and we appreciated the unlimited filtered iced water too. Great spot, can't fault the location.

The hotel car park was full which was a little frustrating on a hot day but there's another (cheaper) one a few doors further along if you get stuck. Best to book ahead if you do need a car spot on site.
