I liked that I had a room close to the conference and could go upstairs as soon as we finshed for the day. Looking out onto the MCG was a bonus. I liked that it was very quiet. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
My room service QR code worked once when I first arrived and not at all after that. It allowed me to order breakfast for the Wednesday and would not allow me to order dinner to my room, each time I tried it would go straight to the drinks menu and not let me go on to the food. I had to ring for room service each night. After a long day at the conference I was tired and just wanted to order in so it was very frustrating.

Loved the view. (in front of MCG and side view of city skyline) Room very comfy and clean. Snack bar - bit limited - No small bottles of wine/white wine in fridge, only 1 x chocolate (Rocky Rd). Had to ask for teaspoons for making coffees. Re - room service.. I did ask for Wholegrain bread (for toast), got sourdough. Another time I asked for croissant with jam (didn't get the jam).
Pls see above answer. Also.. 1 x night I dined in your restaurant. Ordered Ravioli - Very disappointed - Sauce tasted like it came out of a jar! Green salad with nuts was lovely though & so was the glass of Pinot Noir. Elderly staff member on duty was lovely. Also, another night I orders Wagu burger.. very tasty but it was pink inside.. I still ate as was very hungry. Everything else was tasty. also, bit disappointed the Rasberry /Chocolate dessert... (too rich..)... My fault for ordering.

Best sleep - perfect bed and pillows. Amazing view. Stayed for a Conference and was super convenient. Location to MCG and city and public transport on the doorstep. Very clean. Would definitely stay again. Bonus view of hot air balloon over the MCG in the mornings.
Breakfast buffet hot foods luke warm at times. I'm being picky now.... but breakfast Buffet layout is a bit all over the place. It didn't flow, had to zig zag around for cooked breakfast. Bread not next to toaster and on opposite side to eggs station which wasn't next to the other cooked breakfast options

Easy walk to Rod Laver Arena. Excellent park and stadium view from my room. Very friendly front desk staff including the concierge. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable, so were all the furniture - great choices! Even the tap was impressive - smooth and easy to control. Room seemed to have been recently renovated and spotlessly clean.
The air-con was quite noisy while running - the stronger the setting, the louder it got - so I had to turn it off completely. There was a locked connecting door between my room and the one next door, I could hear my neighbour cough and talk. My requested one large bed was actually two single beds pushed together, and the gap in the middle was too noticeable, so I ended up sleeping on one side. Slippers and comb were not provided initially. There was no complimentary water, which I had expected from a five-star hotel.

The facilities are modern and top-notch, and they are fully representative of the hotel's 5-star rating. The free trams stop right in front of the hotel, and it is easy to map your trip on Google and get all the necessary connections. The Australian Open grounds were within 8 minutes walk from the hotel, so it was easy to go back and forth. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is even closer for cricket fans and tourists.
While it was an overall execptional stay, it would have been even greater if the dinner was also a buffet, as I had that included in my package, but I struggled a bit with the a la carte options available. They were a bit too "fine dining" for me.

I was very pleased with the interactions with staff who provided great service and were happy to help as needed, this was particularly helpful travelling with my sister as her carer. Consideration was shown and services made our stay feel safe and easy. It was especially appreciated that we were able to spend time in the Cliveden Bar while waiting for an airport transfer while my sister didn't feel up to leaving the hotel. We were not put under any pressure to leave or order a full meal and this was very helpful.
Only concern was the difficulty in operating the lights, especially bathroom light. Sometimes an old-fashioned switch is really simplest and easiest to find and use when light is needed

The position of the hotel is perfect. The renovation are great however for the price paid I don’t think it’s good value. Breakfast was disappointing… when it was the Hilton the breakfast was amazing high standard now it’s a lot of items but average & not great quality. There and be more available for request. There were a couple of key staff but most just were run arounds that didn’t know what they were doing.
The check out check in queues were so long with only 2 staff attending. Our door key wasn’t working so we had to queue only the. To get to our room and the key still wasn’t working fortunately there was a concierge person on the floor that was able to assist once we proved who we were. Thereafter I had to queue for 40 mins to check out.

We booked a corner suite which overlooked Fitzroy Gardens. Absolutely beautiful. The room was very spacious, the bed super comfortable and the bathroom beautiful. The Cliveden was a delicious restaurant with great service.
The lighting is very high tech and it took us a while to work it out. The lighting in the bathroom could be brighter for doing makeup. Also, it would be nice to offer a selection of herbal teas instead of all black-leaf teas and green tea. Decaf coffee would also be appreciated. I'm nitpicking really as the room was wonderful.

Modern inside, big open space in foyer, dining/bar area, no stuffy smell in corridors or room. Reception staff were super friendly. We were checking in early expecting to just store bags but room happened to be available so received key straight away. Upon arrival to our room there were twin beds, not a double. A quick call to reception and they brought up a new key to another room on the same floor with a king bed. Requested the mini bar items be removed which was no problem and sorted very quickly. We didn’t use the pool or gym but checked them out, both very good. Buffet breakfast had a lot of options and plenty to keep most diners happy. Hours for the breakfast are great too, you can still have a sleep in and make it down for a feed! Great access to train and tram, right on the door step.
Nothing to note!

The room was amazing. We are not used to staying in such a luxury place. We thought the location was going to be a bit difficult but in actual fact it turned out to be perfect for the things we wanted to see. The breakfast this morning, although it was a little expensive, was worth every mouthful and I quickly forgot about the cost.
There was only one thing I did not like. For the cost we paid for the room I really did expect more that just the cheap and nasty coffee and sugar sachets that you would get in any cheap and nasty hotel. I had to ask for more sugar because there was not enough and there was on tiny container of milk. That was a massive disappointment, one that I never expected.
