Excellent location, comfortable and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff.

Furnishings had seen better days - chair and couch cushions were old and tired. Dining rooms were closed and so very little food service available for dinner / evening.

Fantastic staff. Very friendly & helpful. Special order breakfast was a plus, although the selection was ample and varied. Great location-close to many sights. Lovely pianist in cafe one evening. Very talented. Outdoor terrace dining was enjoyable. Very nice to have mall with small grocery nearby for essentials. Housekeeping staff was flexible and accommodating. Good size room.

The mattresses for the twins need replacing. They were very spongy — like a trampoline. Oooo. Fire alarm was a surprise.

It was good though pricey

I didn’t like The check in; I didn’t feel happy. I arrived at 11 am after a 12 hour flight. They asked me to come at 3 pm or pay more for an upgrade. The hotel was not fully booked so I told them that my flight was very exhausting and wished to get a fast check in. They insisted that I pay more to get an upgrade and a fast check in. I thought that it is the same old trick that many hotels play with customers arriving early. The hotel room that I paid for was already pricey so I declined to pay more. I hope that they become more flexible with their customers in the future.

Location, brightness, elegant The concierge was fantastic in his knowledge about the city tours and very helpful to cater for our need. Thanks heaps for his kindness and assistance

No swimming pool Reception was a bit not cooperative to provide city view room as booked. The room was facing walls of next building. After hot argument I was moved to city facing room. That was not pleasant especially the reception attendant argue that the room initially allocated is city facing. He was not cooperative until I showed him photoessay of sceneries from room window

This hotel has such a special charm — the historic design is beautiful and well taken care of, and the lobby feels luxurious and welcoming. The food was great, with high quality and a lot of attention to detail. The staff were really kind and made me feel at home. Also, the location is perfect — just a short walk to the main shopping street and all the attractions. I had a fantastic stay By the way there is snall mall with supermarket inside it So easy to buy fresh salat or need pharmaceuticals things

We should stay longer hhhhhhh☺️☺️

Our stay at Grand Hotel Wien was absolutely wonderful! Everything was excellent, and we had a truly enjoyable experience. Just a small note—be aware of the 300 EUR deposit for potential consumption of goods or extra services. The hotel blocks this amount and refunds it if nothing is used. The SPA and gym were fantastic—clean, cozy, and well-maintained. Breakfast deserves a special mention! The selection was outstanding, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was so delicious that you could easily spend hours enjoying it. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. The only thing that would have been nice to have was an electric kettle, but this was just a minor detail. A note about heating—it can be a bit noisy at times, making it hard to sleep. However, when we turned it off overnight, the room temperature remained comfortable, sometimes even a bit too warm. So, if the noise bothers you, just switch it off. Make sure to try the desserts in the lobby—they are absolutely delicious, especially paired with their great coffee. Overall, we had a lovely stay and left with beautiful memories of Vienna, thanks to Grand Hotel Wien. A big thank you to the entire team!

Breakfast staff was great and spa was nice to have.

Hard sell at the front desk at check-in in front of guest. Attendant said he could see from my reservation I requested one large bed instead of twins. Then says he has plenty of king beds if I’m willing to pay another $50 euro a night. This made the whole experience feel cheap, particularly when you are already spending 350 euro a night, and it was embarrassing in front of guests. This is a bad practice. If you have plenty of king beds, don’t offer it unless you’re willing to provide it. If a guests wants to pay more for a larger bed, they will state this and ask you if there is availability.

Everything was excellent. The location, the staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast. We were given a late checkout free of charge. The receptionists were very welcoming, very friendly, and very helpful. The service in the breakfast room was excellent and the staff were friendly well-organized and skilled. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel.

I think the couches in the lobby need to be changed since they're a little worn out.

The hotel is on a perfect place, beautiful, old building.Everything is nearly, Albertina museum which is MUST in Vienna is 5 minutes away, shopping streets…This is my second time in the same hotel.

I didn’t like the staff at the breakfast restaurant.I had to wait 35 minutes for poached eggs although I asked 3 times.I ended up eating bread and butter waiting for them. Some might say that I am spoiled but when you are hungry and on vacation for only 3 days and you are ready to pay expensive breakfast you are not ready to wait 35 minutes for poached eggs. I was told that it takes time to cook them.

I loved everything about this hotel. All the marble, fabric and gold coloured accessories were very high class. Breakfast assorted items and the fact you could order hot items from a menu, was a great addition. By the way, it was the first time in my two weeks in Europe, I was able to enjoy a second , third etc cups of coffee, I poured from a beautiful China coffee pot. It reminds me of our vacation at the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, MI, USA. (Living in 🇨🇦Canada’s capital 🇨🇦 it takes us about 10hours driving time plus, then a ferry ride to reach the island. About the same time to enjoy the Grand Hotel in Wein Austria. There are many empty sockets to welcome the electronic charges.

Only small hiccup— The toilet room should have a fan that is individually turned on when required, Or Provide a can of air fresher in the toilet room, FOR Those times the toilet room needs a doze of freshness. When it’s a single guest, present toilet room status might be ok, But if it’s a romantic weekend, You don’t a toilet smell —— You can’t control the smelly body functions.
