The best feature of this apartment is its excellent location—right next to De Brouckère station in Brussels, with shops, restaurants, and major attractions all within walking distance. However, be prepared for a bit of a workout, as there are no elevators and you’ll need to carry your luggage up to the apartment. Check-in and check-out instructions are clear and straightforward, which helps make the arrival and departure process smooth. The Wi-Fi connection is spotty and could use improvement. Also, it’s surprising that the only toilet still doesn’t have a lock, especially since this issue has been pointed out by previous guests. It’s a simple fix that would spare future guests from potentially awkward situations.

We found a nearby parking garage very easily. The property was easy to find with GPS. The apartment was spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Enough dishes, silverware and cups/glassware in the cabinets. Extra blankets and pillows were stored. Coffee pods were also provided along with sugar. The apartment was a comfortable temperature as well. It was central to the Christmas markets and places to eat out or shop. There was a dishwasher as well. Towels provided and water was always hot. There were 2 showering rooms. Beds were pretty comfortable

I did not get the door code ahead of time, so I had to call our host. Luckily, they answered promptly and we got the code. Stairs to the apartment level were very steep and there were many, so bringing up luggage was difficult for the older members of the group. There was only one toilet on its own in a small closet.

Apartment was in the perfect location, you could step out to the metro, shopping centre, Xmas markets and ice rink! Perfect for sight seeing, shopping… Apartment itself was on the top floor which meant 8 flights of stairs (4th floor but such high ceilings!) so beware of that! We went with my 70 year old mother in law and kids and it was fine though. It was spacious, kitchen and seating area were really big. Only one bathroom which was massive but the shower wasn’t great pressure and getting out the bath/shower was tricky as there’s nothing to hold on to and tiles around the bath. We were all fine, but would be an issue with someone who had mobility issues. Bedrooms were up another flight of stairs which was narrow, so again not ideal if you’ve got mobility issues! Bedrooms were a good size though and the views were lovely being so high. Beds were comfy, everything was clean. This was perfect for us, had everything we needed and in the right location, but if you don’t like stairs then don’t book it! I feel it reflected in the price though, it was good value. Was lovely and warm too, I was a bit worried being such an old building that it would be cold but it really wasn’t!

On the top floor, only one bathroom, bedrooms on a different floor to the bathroom. A bit noisy (but you get that being in the city!

The location was the real selling point here. It's right on the square, within steps of the train station and a 5-minute walk from all the lovely breweries, restaurants and places you need to see. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and easy to live in. Really don't have anything negative to say about it.

Wish there was a better shower. I'm tall (6'3) and I had to crouch down to even get close to having the water on top of me in the shower, so would much rather a show that was taller and where water didn't easily get out of the tub.

Location was excellent. Apartment was spacious. Owner easy and quick to communicate with.

Stairs! 5th floor with no elevator. And bedrooms up an additional floor once in the apartment. Stairwell was very narrow. Exhausting getting the luggage to the unit. Anyone incapable of carrying luggage and climbing would have a significant issue. Shower very high off the floor. Very difficult to get in and out, especially when wet.

We liked the place itself, closed to everything,the room is big, the kitchen is almost complete, clean, sound proof room with good temperature ,plenty of toilet rolls,and with the smart TV.

We did not like the shower,the handle should be up so that we don't hold it while taking a shower. No shower gel just shampoo. No wash sink in the toilet. The pillows are not comfortable.There's a lot of homeless people beside the apartment.

The location was amazing and the property was large and bright.

The property is in need of updating, painting and replacing broken furniture. The bathroom has water damage and plaster is peeling off the wall and cabinet. The utensils, pots and cooking supplies were old and some broken. It would have been nice to have simple supplies as tea, sugar etc.

The location was perfect for our stay. 10 mins walk from Brussels Central Station and the metro is outside the apartment. Perfect for using as a base camp to explore Brussels, or go further afield (as we used the apartment to go to Rock Werchter in Leuven and to visit Brugge with no hassle). The apartment itself is fairly big and easily housed 5 of us for the week without feeling cramped. The fold down couch bed is a double also. Plenty restaurants and shops nearby for food and good utilities inside the flat. Sam was an excellent host. We had trouble with the shower and Sam came out and fixed it within a few hours. He also responded quickly to any queries we had.

The bathroom could use some maintenance but other than that the apartment had everything we needed. As the apartment is on the main square it can get noisy outside until late. However, the Brussels Film Festival was on when we stayed so that's likely why.

The location was outstanding. Roomy apartment. Nice to be able to open windows (including the roof ones) and the fan was also very pleasant. Easy to access with the codes we were given.

Didn't know it required 92 steps to reach it! The clothes dryer didn't produce heat - only air, so our clothes took forever to dry.
