The Hotel Fleur de Ville is a wonderful base in Brussels with friendly and hospitable staff. The rooms are elegant, immaculately clean, spacious, and everything from the bathroom fixtures to the linen look crisp and new. The hotel is a convenient base for exploring the city, a 7-minute walk to the Grand-Place and St. Michael & St. Gudula Cathedral and a 3-minute walk to the Place De Brouckère. The Wolf Food Market next door has a variety of cuisines to suit different tastes, including Neapolitan pizza, housemade pastas, pho, and pastrami sandwiches. The generous breakfast buffet of cheeses, pastries, cold cuts, fruits, and fresh juices also included your choice of a made-to-order meal, like mushroom Vol-au-vent and pancakes with a fruit compote.

Fleur de Ville is a historic stone bank house that has been recently renovated into a modern luxury hotel. It has the charm of being a notable and fancy building, with a fresh renovation. So, you get stone and hardwood floors with inlaid designs, high ceilings, and oak doors, but also modern lamps, wardrobe, and bathroom that still match the classic design. The breakfast was excellent – a continental buffet with an additional menu at the table to order something hot. The menu has essentials like an omelet, but also Belgium classics like waffles and a vol au vent with a soft-cooked egg in the center. The rooms are very nicely done and have interesting touches like coffee table books, that are very well chosen and are interesting for a few day stay. The bathroom has a seperate shower and bath, with an extra wide sink. Very nicely designed. Other nice touches, the room has a tablet that controls the TV and a separate speaker that connects to your smart phone to play music. The location is great for exploring Brussels. It is not far from great shopping and about a five-to-ten-minute walk from the Grand-Place. This area has a variety of restaurants. Next door is an awesome food market called Wolf, where there are about ten different restaurants with high-quality food and their own brewery. They are a must visit if staying in Fleur de Ville. You can walk to the Central Train station in about 10-12 minutes. The neighborhood is quiet but not sleepy, it has a good vibe.

Very new hotel, which is beautifully appointed. Staff are wonderful and there is a common lounge to relax and enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries. Location ensured a short walk to most of the city sights. On the city edge so quiet but all the restaurants and bars are just around the corner.

Breakfast felt quite formal, I prefer relaxed, but they are just fine tuning at the momrnt

Newly renovated. Great location. Some staff are kind and knowledgeable but some stuff need more training since the hotel is rather new. I got help with luggage at check in but not at check out. Breakfast was very good if you like fresh salmon and herring. But staff at the breakfast do not greet you but ask for your room number. If you return to hotel late at night, you swipe your room card at the door to enter the hotel. We did not know that.

There are steps at the front desk. So you may have to pick up your luggage unless you ask for help. Staff training is required for some staff. Other staff were very kind and helpful. Only two or three people at the front desk including bellman. Booking.com gave me a free taxi ride from airport to the hotel. The taxi driver waits up to 45 min. We were standing in line for two hours at the Brussels airport to go through the customs. Thus the taxi was gone and we had to find and pay for another taxi.

Location and hotel interior were excellent. Breakfast offered a good choice of fresh foods with something for everyone. In contrast the staff on reception were - without exception - excellent and went above and beyond to help. Friendly and informative at check in and always happy to help with recommendations. Possibly the best I have experienced in that role.

Staff covering the breakfast appeared to be under pressure - which showed - and perhaps could have benefitted from some customer training. Also for breakfast, more berries would have been useful as they often ran out and the coffee pod machine could have been better. The pods were weak and the coffee only tepid. Some guests had difficulty operating it which caused delays.

the refurb happening internally is stunning. this hotel is a wonderful find and reasonably priced. great location for exploring Grand Place and Wolf next door for food hall style eats from Poke Bowls, Burgers etc and a selection of bespoke beers. l like art deco architecture and l have a thing for stone floors. this had all of it from the hotel entrance to the bathrooms. every comfort in the room. Aesop toiletries. l also needed to have a zoom meeting at an early hour and used the reception room. so wonderful - the staff accommodated my need for privacy and bought in a jug of fresh iced lemon water for me. free espresso coffee and tea facilities all day in this stunning room.

nothing in the restaurant to accommodate dietary choices - l am told the chef is working on that

Beautiful hotel centrally located to parking, shopping and more. The rooms were very beautiful.

That the drop off for bags was impossible as there was no where to park the car out front and the parking lot was a 10 minute walk as we had to come up through a mall to get out. Very strange. Outside of that, we had to lift heavy luggage up 3 sets of 3-4 stairs and there wasn’t a bellhop designated to help. The one staff that came the first time was at the registration desk. Had he not been busy, we would have struggled. Leaving the hotel we had no help. My husband had to leave a car unattended to run in and help as I was trying to carry two heavy suitcases down the stairs. If this could be addressed in the future, It would be perfect!

This is an outstanding hotel. Everything is perfect, and the attention to detail is impressive. There are touches that truly set this hotel apart, such as a welcome note, a second note on Christmas Eve (with some Belgian chocolates!), and an invitation to enjoy a glass of bubbly on Christmas Eve... all from the charming manager, Philippe Delissus. There are numerous other fine touches, as well. Monsieur Delissus visited with us a couple of times when we ran into him in the halls, and he has an easy, hospitable personality. I wish I had learned the name of the tall young desk clerk who always insisted on helping me with my carry-on bag up and down the stairs, but I am grateful for his help. (The hotel has an elevator to the rooms; the stairs are just to get up to the lobby.) Breakfast is lovely, but buy the rate in advance if you can. If you buy it there, it's € 40 per person. I want to add that it IS special and a definite step up from typical hotel breakfasts. (Nevertheless, I've never had a breakfast that I'm willing to pay that much money for....) You choose one menu item, and you can select items from a limited buffet of breads, cold cuts and cheese, vegetables, yogurt, etc. There is juice, good coffee, and water, as well. I can't say enough good things about Hotel Fleur de Ville. If our travels take us back to Brussels, I'll reserve a room there in a heartbeat!

It was perfect.

We liked everything. The hotel is in the center of the city in walking distance to the Grand Place. It is new and clean with very nice and kind staff.

The location is at a corner where there are constructions going on in the very street corner. Which prevented the taxi to stop exactly at the hotel. Unfortunately we had to manage with our big luggages up to some stairs to reach the lobby. There were some stairs at the lobby too. I think the hotel is pretty new and probably they have not built some ramps at the lobby. Nonetheless, the staff helped us with our luggages up to the lift. Thank you!

This brand new hotel in located in the city centre, in a stately former bank building. It is tastefully renovated, with great attention to detail. They managed to transform the cold bank atmosphere into a warm, welcoming feel. Many thanks to the Professional staff: Jasmine and Radu helped me to feel "at home". It felt like I was visiting friends and not staying at a hotel. Thanks! The breakfast is fabulous. It all starts at the the breakfast venue - a beautiful room, a lovely table setting, highly professional staff, a rich selection of food...
