The grounds are great well care off. The pools were great and food was good. everyone in the staff was super friendly and helpful when needed.

Our rooms where spacious but the bathrooms definitely need a complete remodel. You can tell how many time they try to cover the mold but it is no longer hidden we had a lot of cockroaches on the bathroom. which was our only complain.

We came to this paradise 20 years ago for our honeymoon, and always wanted to come back with our kids. So glad we did! Our comfortable cabin had a view of the volcano, the breakfast was outstanding, and the hot pools - sooooo relaxing. The zipline is fantastic, horseback ride to the river is so fun (and good value), even had a chocolate massage. But the reason to come here are the hot pools. There are 8 small pools, each a slightly different temperature, and each with their own features. Some have little waterfalls that trickle over your shoulders. My favourites. We saw lots of wildlife including the resident iguanas. The gift shop is pretty nice too. All of the staff are wonderful and helpful. Love it here!

Room was excellent and the breakfast was very good - but perhaps not enough seating at peak times. The Thermal hot springs and the pools are really wonderful. The volcano view from our room was inspiring. The reception staff were excellent, with one exception - and particularly helpful were Antony Ruiz (Tony) and Cristel Hernández - both made an extra effort in respect of our transport arrangements

The receptionist who checked us in on arrival on February 5, Vivienne, was not welcoming and unfortunately was a poor communicator. At a hotel/resort of this calibre and size, and with an international clientele, guests should expect an English-speaking receptionist - this was sadly not the case, and the receptionist read eveything from a screen in front of her. No adequate explantion of the resort's excellent facilities were provided - but we were sternly advised that if we lost our key, we would be charged $25 !! Not the sort of welcome - the lady needs some training on how to receive guests with a welcoming smile !!

Terrific location with volcano views (when it wasn't covered in clouds). The check-in process was excellent at the big front desk. The zipline exceeded my expectations and was legit! It was the perfect experience for our family. We thought we might go to one of the local hot springs, but ended up being content with the ones on the hotel property. Don't be scared off by the green colored water on the hotel website. The breakfast was a huge buffet which my kids looked forward to every morning. We didn't go to dinner because it was an expensive pre-fix dinner for the night we were there (New Years Eve) - but it isn't too far from town where we found some amazing restaurants. The 2 bedroom +kitchenette room we stayed in was enormous - much larger than I expected.

We had a lot of rain when we were there- and the ceiling in in the bathroom was leaking. There was also a bit of mildew in the caulking of the shower - but we were ok with things not being perfect. The futon sofa bed that we were counting on using was garbage. It was not usable to be slept on due to being able to feel the wood bars under it. Luckily, there was a chaise lounge in one of the rooms that we used to sleep on instead. but unless it is a very small kid, the futon is too uncomfortable for sleeping on.

Such an exceptionally beautiful property, the best part was enjoying the hot springs and swimming pools, and appreciating the beautiful nature around the pools. We loved seeing the local wildlife, hearing the birds, and seeing the resident iguanas which are more scared of humans so respecting the distance is important ~!! Vistas of the volcano {when clouds moved aside~!} The grounds are kept up very well with beautiful flowers and trees. The resort is well set up to accommodate many visitors with excellent breakfast offerings and restaurants so we did not need to go elsewhere for food.

The rooms were a little dark and a bit cramped for space (with two beds), but ok overall. They have other room types so possible that other rooms are more spacious. Our priority was to enjoy the pools and the nature, so we didn't spend too much time indoors anyways...

The hotel boasts stunning facilities, complete with a pool and exclusive thermal hot springs available only to guests. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there, especially the kids. The breakfast offered was very good. However, we did encounter a minor issue when we requested an extra blanket – it took us three requests to finally receive it. Additionally, the front desk staff could benefit from a bit more warmth in their interactions, as they seemed somewhat disengaged.

The location is fantastic for Arenal national park, sloth park, La fourtuna waterfalls and trekking. The facilities are exactly what you need before and after a day of activities. The food in both the restaurant and pool bar is delicious and large portion sizes. The grounds are stunning for a post dinner stroll.

The room 131, in the first row is so close to the road it can be very noisy first thing in the morning and between dinner time which spoilt the serenity of the place, but we were so tired it was not so much of a problem.

Hot springs, while man made are very pretty. Pretty grounds with a view of the volcano... assuming it's not cloudy.

The lodging here is a bit more of a cabin. This is not a luxury stay. The rooms are dated. As long as you go in to it with that expectation/ understanding, the rooms are great....I did keep a towel at the base of the door to help keep the geckos out....none got in but I can see how they would. There are several hot spring pools that get warmer as you go up.. but several are wasted as they are too cold to get in.

This is a fun resort! We especially loved the swim up bar and the hot springs within the resort. We had great fun bouncing from hot spring to hot spring. They also have a very nice breakfast buffet.

The restaurant for dinner is not the greatest -- just serves bland Americanized food. We were also disappointed to have a tour bus park in our parking spot next to our room while we were out to dinner -- we had to park down the street and carry our sleeping kids up the road in the rain to our room.

Loved all of the restaurants and staff. Zip lines were amazing and the staff at the zip lines and front desk excellent. Disappointment that mi real hot springs not fully operational was helped by the swim up bar and excellent bartending service!

Gym opening at 10 am a bit too late and gym lack ing mats, free weights more than 15 lbs and other equipment. Hot springs not fully operational.
