The Holiday Inn San Jose La Sabana is a fantastic place to stay in San Jose, offering a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Shuttle driver waited for me at the airport despite it taking forever for my bags to come through. Check-in was very straight forward and the staff member who greeted me was lovely. My partner arrived overnight and her check-in was also very straight forward. Free parking and breakfast was decent too!

The location is definitely on the functional side as opposed to scenic, being right next to a major road.

Breakfast was great, a lot to choose from.

However for the omolette station, the chef needs to move faster in cooking the omolette. There was a long line waiting while he was cooking one omolette per person. In other hotels, the chef cook two o three omolettes at the same time. Another thing was the transportation from the airport and to the airport, needs to be a standard charge. When I requested the transportation to the airport, the night crew has another rate way up than the morning crew. I ended up requesting a uber.

Unless you book a room with a balcony, windows can't be open at all, which was quite annoying to me Generally, hotels in Costa Rica seem to be somewhat below the standard: 4 stars in Costa Rica is like 2 stars in Poland, let's say, and the cleaning standard could be better too Though rooms are normally spacious, and for some reason, double rooms feature two rather big double beds Rooms have a coffee making machine but unfortunately, no electric kettle/tea making facility which was somewhat strange

Breakfast was very nice in a pleasant restaurant near the pool. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The pool area was lovely.

The pool was not open until 8 a.m. although it was light from 5 a.m. This was very disappointing. The location was not so good for getting around San Jose but was ideal for an overnight stay to relax before a flight home.

My favourite hotel in San José and I've been to quit a few. The pool, the room, the bed, the staff, extras like an icecube machine on the floor. Good accesible with uber/taxi. The delicious pineapple and papaya with breakfast

Would be nice to maybe have someting like pancakes for breakfast too. and of course would be nice if it would be cheaper,:) but it's worth the money!

The hotel was spotless, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the pool area and gym were exceptional.

The restaurant wasn’t great and closed in the middle of the day. The food was well- prepared and the staff was awesome, there just weren’t a lot of options on the menu and it was expensive. I used Uber Eats for my lunches and dinners so it wasn’t a problem.

We love the amenities. Hot tub, outdoor pool area, laundry machines downstairs for a lengthy stay, 3 restaurants, gift shops, grocery store and pharmacy next door, etc..

There is a ton of traffic right now and this hotel is dead smack in the center. This is not the hotel’s fault and hopefully after the bridge construction ends, it’ll be better again.

The grounds were so verdant and rich. Plants and trees were perfectly-maintained but natural. Pool area was amazing. We had a nice little balcony off our room. Entire staff was so attentive and pleasant! Gift shop was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic!

Only wish pool had been open before 8 am.

Unfortunately, my domestic flight was cancelled and I arrived at La Sabana much later than anticipated. But for the brief time I was there it was lovely. Thank you
