Our recent one-night stay at the Bijou Hotel in Prague with my son was absolutely delightful, and we left wishing we could have stayed longer! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by this hidden gem. The location is simply perfect – nestled in a vibrant yet peaceful area, it allowed us to easily explore the beauty of Prague on foot, with many attractions just a short stroll away. It truly felt like we were right in the heart of everything, yet could retreat to a tranquil haven. Stepping into our room was a treat. It was beautifully designed, with a wonderful blend of comfort and elegance. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, creating a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. It was spotless and very comfortable for both myself and my son. The breakfast was another highlight of our stay. A delicious spread with a variety of fresh and high-quality options, it was the perfect start to our day of exploration. Everything was incredibly tasty, and the breakfast area itself was very pleasant. However, what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service, particularly from Lina at reception. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Her warm demeanor made us feel so valued, and she went above and beyond to assist us with any queries we had. It's rare to encounter such genuine hospitality, and Lina truly made a lasting positive impression. The Bijou Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Prague, whether for a short getaway or a longer vacation. We can't wait to return! SK

A stunning building, in a gorgeous street just minutes away from Prague Castle. It was a fantastic location also for being quiet and peaceful co.oared to the old town centre, while still being a relatively quick walk from it across Charles Bridge. Breakfast was nice with varied options in a buffet presentation and staff were lovely and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities were good to have. Comfy large bed. Plenty of space to live, sit and sleep in the Kafka suite, and lovely views over Petrin hill's green trees. Loved the church /monastery bells ringing at different times of day.

The hand-held shower over bath could be strange for some. I grew up with this so didn't mind it and the bathroom was charming (and having a bath tub was very welcome for a soak after travelling).

- Fantastic location, close to Prague Castle - Great character in the property - Very large living space, with bedroom mezzanine - Kitchen facilities, including a fridge was very handy - Friendly and accommodating staff - Great breakfast served at the sister residence across the road - lots of choice and replenished regularly

- The bed was large but not very long which meant my legs hung off the end of the bed (I am 6 ft 2) - The blinds/curtains were not blackout, so light came through quite early in the morning which woke us up (fine, as we then went out early too) - Great kitchen facilities including hob, but no cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, plates etc

Hotel location is close to tourist destinations such as the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Our hotel room is spacious and breakfast is good. The reception, though not available 24/7, is helpful and accommodating. Big shout out to Lena for working extra mile to deliver our checked-in baggage left from our flight to Prague.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator so we need to bring our baggage, four in total, upstairs by ourselves. The hotel room is dimly lit, maybe because of its medieval concept, and internet connection is not consistent, hence, not recommended for those who will bring their work during their stay.

Really nice boutique hotel, room good size and facilities excellent. Entry to hotel and room is by door codes, so worth keeping details on your phone. We were in the Mozart room, double bed in bedroom one and single bed in bedroom two. Air conditioning unit in bedroom noisy, but very warm so could not do without it. Nice little balcony for early morning coffee. Coffee machine, fridge and kettle in room, tea and coffee replenished daily. Bathroom includes bath and shower, toilet and bidet, hairdryer and all toiletries provided such as hand soap, hair and shower gel and vanity kit. Towels changed every 3 days. Bathrobes and slippers available from reception situated across the road in sister hotel green lobster, breakfast is also across the road. Good choice at breakfast. No lift in hotel. situated at top of very steep hill, next to the castle.

A few things to note. It wasn’t an issue for us, but the hotel is at the top of a hill which is inaccessible by public transport. For older travellers or those with mobility issues, I feel that reaching this hotel from the centre of Prague would be impossible. There reception and breakfast is not in this building, but across the road. Something else to consider.

We spent 3 beautiful days in Prague and this hotel made everything even more special. The suite Kafka was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The position was fantastic, there is no need to take public transportation if you don’t mind walking a bit. Everything was reachable in 15-20 minutes walking. But if you need public transport you can easily find it close to the hotel. The receptionists, Polina and Lina were kind and helped answer every doubt or request!! If we return to Prague, we’ll surely be back here ☺️

If you are not comfortable walking, maybe the last uphill meters to reach the hotel may be a little hard. But the position is worth it!

The accommodation was excellent everything was clean and tidy, the hotel location was the best because we walked to see all the attractions, breakfast excellent and the staff friendly and very nice.Room internet good

The only thing I didn't like was the Czech television 😁 because almost all the tv channels are dubbed in Czech language but the Retro music channel saves them and another minus- the tv was an old model which didn't connect to the internet.

Lovely historic building just below Prague Castle provided excellent location, comfort and a great breakfast!

No elevator and room located on the 3rd floor made for a good fitness test. The period bathroom was lovely although a shower fitted over the bath would certainly be an improvement.

The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, just below the castle. Even though there is some foot traffic during the day, as the road leads to the main attraction of Prague- the castle, the castle closes in the evening, and the neighborhood becomes quiet, so you can rest and sleep well, it was very silent. The room was tidy, and spacious, with an antique touch, with a very comfortable bed. Check-in was fast, with all the necessary information and friendly staff. The breakfast is very tasty, there is something for every taste (salty, sweet) and even though breakfast is served in the neighboring hotel across the road, it is not disturbing, because it is a couple of steps; in some hotels, you have to walk further from the entrance to the room. The tram stop is a few minutes away and down the road there are some great restaurants and caffes. Overall great stay and would recommend it to fellow travelers.

Slippers and bathrobes were missing but advertised in the room description on the booking. Otherwise, we received slippers upon asking, it wasn't a problem and staff was friendly and fast.
