The hotel is located in the embassy area, on a quiet lateral street, back to back with the garden of an Italian restaurant, Santini (which we visited twice during our 6 days stay). Being close to the castle and also 5 minutes away from Charles Bridge the location is really marvellous. We had a junior suite that satisfied our needs perfectly, being a family of three. Excellent stay and a marvellous breakfast. Very good clasic pancakes with sweet sour cream. Altogether, a place to return to!

Nothing to mention. One thing to take into account if disabled or if you have difficulties going uphill. Going from Charles Bridge to the hotel takes you on the hill, almost half the way to the castle. It is not a difficult walk and the grade of the hill is not steep. However, to take into consideration if you have a stroller, difficulties walking etc.

I wholeheartedly recommend Appia Hotel Residences for your stay in Prague. It is well-placed for easy access to the "standard" tourist sights, particularly Prague Castle and tram lines, and the staff could not have been more professional and helpful. Wi-Fi was fast. The garden was a delight to relax in on both warm and cool days. The breakfast room (attic) itself was charming, and the food always fresh (and empty trays refreshed promptly). The hotel is situated on an incline so if your knees are a bit arthritic like mine, you will want to keep this in mind as you will have to make your way uphill either coming or going.

What a perfect hidden gem of a hotel, snuggled in a very quiet cobbled street, from the front all you see is a little doorway but when you walk in it opens out beautifully, a secluded courtyard with various sitting areas. We had a deluxe room, which was more of a small suite.. a large bedroom with a settee and a separate dining room with a small kitchenette. Breakfast was in a beamed attic room and had plenty of choice, all the food was beautifully presented and fresh. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Location is ideal. 15 mins walk to wherever you want to be. Very safe and lovely surroundings. Hotel has a luxurious feel. Breakfast room in the eaves sold it for me. Our room was even better than expected, very spacious, lovely bedding and clean throughout. The shower pressure was also superb!

Not really compliant at all but the radiators were all set too high when we first arrived. The temperatures outside were obviously very chilly so I appreciate they didn't want our room to be cold, but I can't sleep in a too hot room. We had to turn down all 5 radiators.. Appia please save on your gas bill! ☺️

The staff were welcoming and I felt right at home as soon as I arrived thanks to the kindness of the lovely Helena in particular. The breakfast was extensive and I was personally very happy to see salads, cooked veggies and fruit included. The location is unbelievably quiet but Nerudova st restaurants and shops are just a stone's throw away. Prague castle and Petrin Hill are super close, too. My room was spacious and comfortable, scrupulously clean. The bed extremely comfortable, I slept better than at home!

Great location, near the castle and surrounded by embassies so very quite but easily walkable to old town and jewish quarter etc. We booked a Deluxe Room but were upgraded to a suite which was superb. Breakfast was great with a good choice of bread, cereals, pastries, fruit and hot option, coffee was excellent and the breakfast room was a stunning place to start the day. We dealt with a number of reception staff during our stay and all were great with good English. We booked a airport transfer for our trip home which was a good quality car with safe professional driver. We would stay again and definitely recommend.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location is close to the castle district, but Charles Bridge is a short walk away. On the way home in the afternoon/evening you have to walk uphill, but on the way there are several cosy Czech pubs with traditional food, good atmosphere and more excellent beer.

The accommodation is clean and cosy, but if you're looking for a modern fancy atmosphere and minimalist design, you'll be disappointed. The sauna is at an extra charge - rather unpleasant value for money - and may or may not be available. It is advisable to find out in advance if this is a priority.

Appia Hotel is one of the most beautiful and well-located accommodations I've stayed in. The building itself is impressive, making me wonder what it used to be before it became a hotel. Our room was luxurious, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast, which was served in the beautifully preserved period attic, was varied with lots of options. Staff was very helpful, providing what we needed at reception on request. I truly recommend Appia, and I hope to stay again when I get another opportunity to visit Prague in the future!

Close proximity to many great restaurants and attractions. And close to the trams. Also, if you have your passports and you are a senior, you ride the trams for free.

My flight was delayed, preventing arrival until the second day. I promptly notified the hotel upon learning of the delay, but they refused to adjust the rate. I paid the full daily rate despite being unable to arrive on the original date through no fault of my own. While I didn’t expect a full refund for that night, a reduced rate would have been fair.

A nice hotel in a historic building. The premium suite we booked was spacious and clean. The sofa bed in the living room was comfortable, though it could have been a bit better. The restaurant for breakfast was beautiful, with an old-fashioned wooden frame ceiling that took diners back in time — very charming. However, the breakfast selection could have been improved, particularly with better quality fruit. The hotel’s location in Lesser Town was perfect, very quiet, yet not far from the main tourist sights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
