The staff are very nice and friendly. Elena is super beautiful, helpful and warm, she even cooked free pancake for us. The room is surprisingly big and clean, there is even a kitchen for the room, bath room is also clean and nice. Great location, will stay there if revisit.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were very clean. For a 160 Czech Koruna, you can enjoy the all you can eat buffet that includes rolls, yogurt, salad, and spreads like cheese and cured meat. For slightly more you can also get hot food with the buffet. The hostel felt extremely safe and secure and I liked that we also had access to a nice kitchen. All around wonderful!

Not centrally located but not too far from the city. It's about a 20 min walk to the old town and further for other tourist attractions. Would still prefer to stay here than closer in the city since this part of town is not as crowded and Sophie's Hostel is a great hostel. Also, bring a towel if you can or you have to rent one! Not expensive to rent though.

We chose a large room with kitchenette as we were a family of 4, staying for 6 days. There was plenty of space for everyone! The brunch options were excellent, and expertly prepared. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and kind. The facilities were spotless, and the breakfast area was cleaned regularly. We felt we got a great value for the price. The location of this hostel is perfect from the standpoint it is very convenient to all modes of public transportation, and also in easy walking distance of several key areas in the historic district. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

The automatic lights in the hallways & bathrooms were a little inconvenient. They turned on & off at random times, or wouldn’t stay on even when we were using the bathroom. We were also a little disappointed by curtains in the bedroom, as they barely covered the windows when stretched out to full width. This wasn’t a problem for privacy, but allowed lots of unwanted light both from the streetlights at night and the early summer sunrise.

The place is cleaned top to bottom every day. Staff is really friendly and professional. 24/7 reception is always a plus. Beds were comfy, and the sheets were clean. 2 or 3 5-bed rooms shared one bathroom, but I literally never had trouble going to shower or whatever. The timed light in the bathroom was a bit odd, but there's a small light next to the mirror so that's okay. Location is excellent, literally anything you might need is a short walk away, as is the Old Town, and other attractions. This was my first solo stay in a hostel, so I had some concerns regarding sleeping with strangers, but everything was tip top. All in all I'm very satisfied with everything, if I'm ever back to Prague I'm coming back here.

I really appreciate that I was allowed to check in early. I didn't get any towels though and normally bfast is free but not this time. It's OK though. It was clean and quiet and comfortable.

No towels, no shampoo in the shower, no free bfast buffet for 120 euros.

This hostel is located in Prague 2 - within 10 minute walk from the the busiest, touristy part of Prague, yet in a somewhat less noisy location. The dorms have decent bunk beds that are, luckily, not as crammed into a few square meters of space as in so many other hostels in Prague, allowing for the fresher air. The bathrooms/ shower rooms are newly renovated, clean and without the smell of mould, unlike in many other similar hostels. There is also a spacious lounge/bar with food and drinks on offer throughout the day. Convenient to sit down and do work on your laptop. The breakfast was good value for money - ham, cheese, greens, cereals and coffee - all a person needs in the morning before heading out to explore the city. Overall Sophie's Hostel offers fairly good value for money.

Got several massive scrapes on my legs due to some metal railings sticking out from under the seats in the lounge area - that hazard has to be fixed.

This is 'not only hostel' - they offer 'like 3-star' rooms and even apartments. With a very attractive prices. Environment is minimalistic but I liked it. Significant part of staff speak Russian and Ukrainian but people around are pretty international. Hotel administration is very flexible. Had a 2 bookings connected because of the changing group size. They managed to arrange 'connected' experience practically upgrading booking for free. And I have reports of similar actions from other friends. Breakfasts are pretty decent. For 160 CZK they offer buffet (not bad) but for a bit more (220 CZK) you can receive it with hot meal selected from the short list. For 2 nights I really liked this approach. Add to this that they have pretty fair bar prices and offer good quality tea. Location is nice. Traditional tourists sites and train station are in walking distance but giving the public transportation system transparency I bought 72h universal ticket for 330 CZK - tram and metro stations are below 5 mins walking. Overall impression from me as a 2-3 persons hotel room booker - hidden gem, especially if you prefer practicality and minimalism. Cannot say anything about dormatory experience here.

Having their price range and many positive traces not so much to complain. Lighting approach in the room was a bit 'too minimalistic' - there was no any local lamps. Not a big deal but if you need local light - take some portable solution with you - sockets were in place (near the bed). Dealing with the local elevator could be a bit tricky - it is a very small and slow one, may not open the doors from the first button press. Not a big deal - gave us some fun - just a point to be aware.

Reception/bar area was a really nice warm and welcoming area to meet other solo travellers or group travellers and to spend time having some drinks to get to know each other.

One of my main things I didn’t like about the property was in my dorm the floorboards would creek and make the beds shake every time someone would walk across the room. This means every time someone would go to go to use the toilet it would shake my bunkbed and wake me up every time. The beds were comfortable but ultimately I wasn’t able to have a good night sleep for any other days that I stayed there.

It’s very central and the bed and linen were comfortable and clean.

There was little control over noise outside with people talking deep into the night, combined with 8 people in a dorm coming at different times. I slept with a mask and ear buds to block it out but it was still not enough. The drawers aren’t the best solution for storage - there seems to be ample space in the room for hanging storage or cupboards as they also make noises with people opening and closing them, locking and unlocking at all times of night.

Sophie's hostel turned out to be a great choice for me. The bed was comfortable and all the facilities were clean. The staff was always helpful and the drinks were great. The atmosphere was really nice and fun and overall it was a great stay. I'd love to come back and also recommend it to other people.

One thing I wanted to suggest was for a little more diverse food menu with perhaps a few more options, this is not something I didn't like per say but would be a good thing to consider.
