I liked the location of the place. It was close to everything necessary, and the room was also tidy and ready to use with towels, soap, and shampoo.

As we were only 2 people, I didn't like the fact that each individual person had to register all their personal details before getting into the room (maybe the process can be shortened?). It's time-consuming and can also get very hot in the lobby in the summer. The entry code that was provided to me was incorrect. I'm a technical person, so I knew where to look to contact someone. For other people, I can imagine this would cause massive problems. I called the number that was provided for help if needed, and I got into the place after a minute on the phone. So no massive complaint for me. This is more of an extra, but the way some of the stuff that was installed in our room was laughable. This isn't something that affects my review, but come on, some of it just takes common sense lol.

Superb location, easy auto check in system, amazing value! Beds were very comfortable. My triple room had two great full bathrooms with shower. Just off a crowded street and area but almost no noise from the street.

In my room the outlets where right on top of the head, on the pillow, in all three beds. Auto check in was great but I had a triple room for two people ( last one available) and I had to invent a third guest to continue the check in process.

Location, proximity to Gran Via and other staple places to visit

Weather was almost 30° yet they couldn’t turn on the ACs because they were still “in winter season”. However when opening the windows it gets much better, but there might be slight noise. For the price is excellent and depending on the month you’re traveling in, this isn’t a big deal.

Ok, so the bed was the only thing that brought this rating down. Perfectly functional student bed, longer stay, bit tough. Everything else was exceptional. Location: 20 meters to Mayors Plaza, shopping, restaurants, amazing food court, near Train Station Atoche, Park, etc. Staff: friendly and efficient. Taxi to Airport: prompt, super helpful, and our man drove a rocket ship (plus we left @ 8am on a weekday, and he traversed to side streets to avoid traffic, most excellent). Nothing grand about it but it's got a functioning lift (3rd floor walkup), 24 hr staff, and Madrid Centro- perfecto! Ah yes, my wife reminded- killer shower! Tiny but excellent pressure and hot! We stayed at a nice pension on the way through town before, which was nice until the lukewarm shower on departure day. The shower here was exceptional! Thank you for that, had a Barcelona train ride to wash off and a 24 hour travel day the next- steaming hot water is great!

All ready mentioned bed, but you get what you pay for, we all know that.

The location, friendly staff, lovely room!

There was no fridge that I could keep cheese in overnight, I could not leave my luggage at reception after checkout as my flight to South Africa is only at 22:00 and no facility to make tea/coffee in my room, especially to have when I woke up. €55 is a bit much for what you get!

Location, the amenities the place was wonderful

Check in - as it was unmanned if you couldn’t call as I got in very late and didn’t have my phone organised I asked some random stranger to call to get the details to get into the property - it was painful

Definitely an excellent location for the solo traveller or for a short break, the rooms are very functional.

There is no staff available onsite…I understand if I stay in AirBnB that’s a choice but a hostel with an automated checking machine that does not deal well with difficulties…not great.

location is accessible in all tourist sites and restaurants and cleanliness

the access key to the door is a bit off as you have to validate regularly. there’s no elevator inside the hostel itself as I believed there are 2 floors that has been joined together so I have to carry my luggage to the third floor. though the hotel has rooms where you don’t need to use stairs however when I checkin it’s fully occupied. It was challenging to talk to the reception due to language difficulties and I have to use google translate from Spanish to English. it’s a good experience!

Only one pillow. Need two and no receptionist as self check-in would not accept booking reference. Other people had also the same problem.

Excellent location, some people made a bad comments but, I guess, they have a room and windows to the street where is much noisy. Very helpful staff but should be better is somebody can speak just a little bit English.

No internet at all, no WI-FI signal in the room, have to use sit on reception to do something necessary for me, on this old building, even mobile connection not working, no signal. Would be great to clean the room every two days, especially on weather conditions outside where is rain and so many mud from Plaza Puerta del Sol by construction there. No even small table in the room. It start to think about it.
