this is a good hotel in the north terminal of London Gatwick airport. Clean, big, there is also a comfortable bar in the podium floor. Good, typically English, breakfast. Travelling to the center of London is very convenient with Gatwick express. If you stay for 2-3 nights in London and you leave early in the morning via airplane - do not hesitate, this is a decent choice. hotel has 2 restaurants. one of them is Chinese restaurant Vanda. Not the most delicious Chinese restaurant outside of China, but can be considered for a dinner. All in all - pleasant.

nothing special i could think of. This is a not a forget-me-not hotel, just a good place to spend a few nights while keeping your travelling.

Loved the location, beds were unbelievably comfy, big screen tv and a great view over the runway. Perfect location for before and at the end of your holiday. Great selection at breakfast and a variety of dinner options.

I always love the Sofitel chain and have stayed at this one numerous times. I never write in this section but in two different rooms (my family had connecting rooms) when the hot tap was turned the water came out very dark grey - bordering on black. It did eventually run clear but it meant that I differ feel comfortable brushing my teeth or washing my face there and resorting to using bottled water. This was reported and staff were apologetic.

I was pleasantly surprised when we turned up before our holiday! The room was comfortable and clean, the bed was SO comfy! The hotel was quiet and the food at the restaurant was delish! The hotel was conveniently connected to the terminal via a tunnel walkway too, so once we had checked out we walked straight to the terminal.

We were travelling with an 8 month baby so requested a travel cot which was provided and we were very grateful for this. However the ‘mattress’ didn’t quite span the full size of the floor of the cot and there was quite big space between the mattress and edge of the cot - not so much of an issue for younger babies who aren’t as mobile. Again we were still very grateful for the travel cot being provided and it was only for a night but I would recommend taking your own if possible.

With a late arriving flight, the location of this hotel is super-convenient as you can just walk right from the North Terminal into it. We did not have much time to enjoy it as we were going further on our journey the next morning but everything in this short period was good. The "runway view" room gave us a view over a part of the airport where you can see aircraft movement and the runway in the distance; The road right in front of it with buses and lorries provided additional entertainment for our toddler son.

Perhaps it can be more clear on the booking that the check-in is open 24/7, which I had to confirm by phone.

The bed was sooo comfy. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Great amount of space for two of us too. 24-hour reception is handy and the concierge staff were lovely. It’s right next to the North Terminal so you can wake up and be through security and at the gate in under an hour!

A few snags to improve before I stay there again. There was a good selection at breakfast generally, but they need to get better veggie sausages. The ones they served are gross. Also there was a mix up at breakfast with our room number even though breakfast was included and we were essentially treated like criminals until the matter was resolved and the mistake rectified. Also checkout is 12 and the maid let herself in at 10am to turn over the room which was irritating. I told her to go away.

The team at Sofitel Gatwick specifically Arsliya and Krzysztof couldn’t do anymore to make our stay a special one. We want to thank them for their hospitality and generosity in making the start of our honeymoon a fabulous one. The Miliesime lounge is well worth booking for a chilled and luxury start to your holiday. We used the lounge for pre dinner canopes and a few glasses of Prosecco before enjoying the food at the Vitra restaurant. The colleague working there was also friendly and chatty. The room was comfortable and it’s a very short stroll across the bridge the the adjoining airport terminal. Stress free

The room is modern and clean - we got one with a runway view, which I'd recommend. It's obviously not super close to the runway still possible to see take-offs and landings, as well as the general plane traffic around the airport - great for aviation enthusiasts! Access from the Gatwick North terminal is straightforward with good signage. Check in was quick, easy and with a warm welcome. We didn't get time to try out any of the facilities or restaurants, but the atrium area at the centre of the hotel is pleasant. It's a bit pricey but not drastically more than other hotels nearby.

A fantastic hotel based moments away from the north terminal. It was perfect for us to catch a very early flight out of Gatwick the next day. The location is perfect whether you are travelling from North or South terminal as the shuttle to the South is so quick and easy. The whole stay was perfect - great staff, rooms are a good size and very clean, great toiletries too. We always enjoy a stay here when catching a flight

A little pricey but to be expected in such a good location and being a Sofitel and actually not that much more than so of the more basic hotels based at the airport. Worth the money in my opinion!

Very convenient location for the night before a Gatwick flight - could not have been better. The room was comfortable and completely free of any noise from planes or people. Whenever I fly from Gatwick, I'll always stay here.

Nothing, all good. There wasn't a great view from the room of course but you couldn't expect that from a hotel in this location. If your expectation is a herd of wildebeest roaming majestically across the plain, try Torquay instead 😉 😜 😂

I had an early morning flight at Gatwick, and because the coaches don’t always give you a lot of choices, I opted to stay in an airport hotel to avoid having to spend hours sitting in the airport terminal overnight. It’s a lot of money for the luxury of sleeping in a bed for a few hours, but I’m not 20 anymore. Anyway, the facilities were more than acceptable, the staff at reception were professional and the comfort and cleanliness were of a high standard so i would say overall it was worth it.

These days, hotels don’t seem to like windows that open, and although I do understand why the hotel would think that way, from the guests perspective, it’s not very nice to sleep with air conditioning on all night. So it’s either keep the aircon on and dry my throat and nose out, or try to sleep in a completely stuffy, hot room with no ventilation. Also, a very minor gripe: the hotel kept sending me email addressing me as “Mr”, even though Booking.com sends my profile information over to the hotel stating that my gender is female. That’s the first time I’ve experienced that, and I travel a lot. I just wonder if I had a Western woman’s name, like Sophie, would that have happened? 🤣
