I wanted to express my appreciation for the wonderful stay at your hotel in Helsinki. The atmosphere was incredibly cosy, creating a warm and inviting environment. While the service provided by your staff was exceptional and greatly appreciated, I must express my disappointment with the quality of the food. Unfortunately, I found the dishes to be below the expected standard. It would be beneficial for the overall guest experience if there could be improvements in the culinary offerings. I believe in the potential of your establishment and hope that this feedback is received constructively.

In the room, there is a small table, which poses a significant challenge when attempting to perform any work on a laptop. This creates considerable inconvenience. Additionally, the hotel frequently filled my inbox with unnecessary emails promoting "Specials" or "Upgrades" and urging me to "personalise my stay." Sending such an email once would have been sufficient. This would allow guests to opt out of receiving further promotional messages if they are not interested in these offers.

Centrally located, nice staff, good breakfasts.

The hotell was very nice and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, room was quiet, AC was working well, breakfast was rather poor on choices but the things that were offered were delicious and good quality. Hotell is located perfectly, a lot of turist attractions and shops near by. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a balcony. In the evening it was a nice place to relax when the traffic calmed down.

The only thing to complain about was the bed. It was really high and too soft for our liking, the top mattress was sliding off and the pillows were really not comfortable. Pillows were too soft and maybe even too empty inside. Also we later discovered that two of the pillowcases were dirty (had yellow stripes on them)

The hotel is at the centre of Helsinki with great walkable transport links to get to other parts. The hotel is a few minutes walk from clothing shops, restaurants and Bars. The hotel also has a great bar to have drink in pre going out or post dinner in the centre. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of options for vegans and gluten free. Appreciated that there were coffee cups to go too. There is a sauna which we didn’t try but did have a look which looked great. The staff are all so lovely, welcoming and helpful if you have any questions.

The only qualm was it can get very warm in the room with no option to open a window and our temperature wouldn’t go below 19 but that was a personal preference for us. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Perfect stay to be honest. Room was lovely, king bed was so comfortable. Nice and peaceful. Breakfast is insane...so much different top quality food. Breakfast is also 7 until 11 so you can take your time. There is a sauna there too which was good. Staff were lovely and friendly and efficient. Bathroom shower was amazing. We had such a great time there and would book it again. Tip: it's about half hour walk from both ferry ports. The walk is easy, but it's a bit cobbled for the suitcase. It's maybe a ten minute walk from the main bars and restaurants. Not far. Sauna is timed differently for men and women. This seems to be a Finnish thing. Would be good if I could have gone in at the same time as my gf, but it's a Finnish thing. Men go in from 6.30am until around 9pm.

I would have liked a cappuccino at breakfast, but again this seemed to be a Finnish thing where they just serve normal coffee. The coffee is great though.

Friendly staff, well equipped room and delicious breakfast. There are plenty really good restaurants nearby and the tram/bus stops are just a few minutes away. Super happy with the room upgrade as well, because the terrace is much appreciated in summer.

Without upgrading your room, the standard room we had didn't have AC or the AC was not working properly. It was way too warm and the windows couldn't be opened due to security reasons. So basically the room became an oven in the evening and we were dying. A big suggestion: as we all know already, the climate is getting worse and worse every year, summer is getting too hot for the Nordic countries. Please consider changing your beddings and duvets in summertime, they are way too thick for summer.

Great location, facilities and excellent breakfast.

After a 14-hour flight, we arrived early in the morning, fully aware that check-in wasn’t until later. However, we kindly inquired if it would be possible to check in earlier, should a room become available. Initially, we were told to return around 12 PM, which we did. Upon our return, we were informed that we could check in early but only if we paid an additional hourly fee. While we had no issue with paying the fee, the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Their lack of professionalism and empathy, especially after a long journey, was deeply disappointing. Considering the room was already available, a little courtesy and better communication would have gone a long way. Wondering jf they would discount guests checking out earlier.

The best part of Hotel Mestari is its prime location. Situated close to landmarks like Kamppi Shopping Centre and Central Station, it was easy to explore the city on foot or by public transport. The nearby metro and tram stations make getting around the city very easy. Another impressive part of the hotel is the large spread of breakfast offering various cuisines including fresh fruits, egg and pastries. It also had a corner for younger guests. Although on some days, the breakfast area got a little crowded, we did not have a problem in finding a table for us. From check-in to check-out, the service was good and staff quite helpful. The room is of decent size and bed was quite comfortable, though everyday we had to remind the front office about replenishing the tea/coffee ingredients. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Mestari

Daily replenishment of tea/coffee ingredients should be automatic, without waiting for the guests to remind.

I appreciated we arrived off an overnight train at 930am but it was no problem to store our luggage for the day. A trainee receptionist checked us in; she was very good and explained all the services available etc. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Beds were super comfy. The breakfast was the best I have had in any hotel! Such a selection and all really fresh. Although I didn't take any, it was a lovely gesture to be offered take away croissants when breakfast was near closing. Very convenient to town and local attractions. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nothing to complain about. Top class hotel.
