We used to live in Lisbon for almost seven years, so I am familiar with the hotels in Portugal. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Avenida Liberdade for my 51st birthday because of its central location. The hotel is situated on Avenida da Liberdade, one of the city’s most prestigious streets, and it is close to everything, including restaurants, sights, shopping, and major attractions. The hotel’s soundproofing is effective, ensuring a good night’s sleep despite the central location. The staff are very professional and friendly. This hotel is a solid choice for those looking for a well-located, reliable, and comfortable stay in Lisbon.

Ultra clean - they clean each day, make your room, beds, etc. Having breakfast is nice addition. Central location with good connections to everything in the city. Staff was helpfull, and hotel is covered in 24/7 shifts.

Rooms are super small, to the point where you have only 1 closet for 3 people and it can barely fit jackets, everything else - you don't have space for. Basically no other content is in the hotel. Breakfast, while being really good and having some options - doesn't change. So each day, you will have croisants, bread, turkey, ham, yellow cheese, white cheese, brie, eggs and omlette. For the salty food - that's it, no changes. Sweet have SOME variety, but it is more in a line of being able to tell that there is some variety. Don't get me wrong - nothing is wrong with the breakfast, it's just that it's too repeatable, and on the 4th day we were like "oh not the same again".

Great location in a nice neighborhood and easy access to bus stops which are almost outside the building or in a 2’ walk. Clean and friendly staff, quite decent breakfast.

The female employee during our check in was impolite, we arrived 2 hours earlier than the entering time for the room and although we were carrying a baby she refused to give us a time slot of when the room would be ready and denied when we asked to be notified by phone so we could come back. We had to wander for 2 hours although we had arrived from a very early flight with almost no sleep. The stuff that we communicated the following days was more than friendly and helpful. also the room was quite small for 3 people, when you opened the sofa bed the access to half the room, desk, tv and window was blocked.

The hotel is in a very nice and safe location, near metro station but you can also walk to the city center in 25-30 minutes.the room is clean and the beds are very comfortable we had a great sleep!! Breakfast is rich, varied and delicious with eggs, bacon,fresh croissants ,many pastries , cereal, fruit, and very nice cappuccino! The staff is friendly and helpful.we really enjoyed our stay!the room has the right temperature for a good sleep, not at all hot if you put off the central heating.we also liked that we could open the window to get some fresh air in the room.

Sometimes wifi is weak. Lack of a mini fridge. It is important mostly in summer...

Excellent location. Very close to the metro station. Breakfast was very good. Enough number of choices for every taste. And a very convenient breakfast saloon. The availability to take away coffee/tea was excellent for a good start of the day. The room was very silent. Although it was facing the main street, when the windows were closed, we had no street noise. Also isolation between the rooms were very good. We have not heart any noise from the neighbour rooms. Very comfortable beds. Ideal hotel for a good sleep.

Room was small. This is not a big problem but there was a very small wardrobe in the room, only for our coats. We kept all belongings in the suitcase. Although room cleaning came everyday, they were making a very ordinary cleaning. Bed, towels, etc. No proper dust removing.The room was little dusty, specially the curtains. Also the room cleaning was not removing any glasses we left the day before. We had to throw away all cartoon glasses. And wine glasses and a knife we brough to the room the first day, stayed there till we left, nobody took them No hair conditioner . Also no toothbrush holder in the bathroom.

Breakfast is excellent. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is water available in the lobby and a bar. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

There is an issue with the wifi freezing regulalry and they are aware of it. It happens every hour or two and lasts for 30 seconds to a couple of minutes. It's a serious issue if you need a smooth, continuos connection but otherwise the speed is good. The room is small, there's limited floor space but wasn't an issue for us. The location is fine but about a 20 min walk to central tourist areas. There is however the blue line metro very near so getting around is easy. There's not a lot close to the hotel but there are a couple of good restaurants and working~week cafes.

The room was clean, spacious, and very quiet. The staff maintained a high level of cleanliness, and the hotel was easy to reach with just a short walk from the bus stop. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of space, a wide variety of food, and two coffee machines, making it convenient even for a large number of guests. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, check-in was quick, and we were able to leave our luggage in the storage room for a few hours after check-out.

The hotel shows signs of wear. The building is old, making the room quite chilly, and although the air conditioner works, it takes time to warm up while the room cools down quickly. The bathroom had a towel with a hole and a shower floor with cracks, adding to the overall tired appearance of the hotel.

Very nice hotel in general. The staff is amazingly nice and accommodating. It's a modern hotel with modern everything. The room was spacious and with a nice bathroom. The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the glitzy Ave Liberdade and within walking distance of the meeting point for most Lisbon tours (Hard Rock Cafe). There are nice restaurants and a convenience store nearby

The towels are worn out. The couch needs cleaning. The bed was too stiff. The wifi was spotty. The attack by guests, especially those in tour groups, on the breakfast buffet starts as soon as it opens

Great area, quiet, clean, upscale shops avenue, close enough to the center, but not so close that you have to deal with noise at night. Great soundproofing - we had a ground floor room but dis not hear a thing from the street. Nice staff at reception, helpful, the shared a map of the city and talked us through it, kept luggage after checkout, all ok. Cleanliness and daily room makeup.

The basic rooms are indeed quite small size. It was not a problem for us, but a larger person would have a difficult time walking into the shower, for instance. Breakfast was ok but the breakfast room quite terrible, no windows and constantly sticky floors.

Location, staff, cleanliness, all exceptional. It's very near to the old city center, a couple minutes from a major metro station, quite a lot of buses pass by the hotel. The room was well cleaned every day, all supplies stocked, etc.

It's quite good for short stays, but we were there for a full week, and the breakfast got a bit dull after a while. There were rotations in the sweet items, but the savory are the same every day.
