Wonderful location, lovely friendly staff, charming decor, imperfect in a way that I like - felt like being in someone's grand home. Unlike the sterile atmospheres of modern hotels. Great conveniences in rooms - small kitchen, fridge, dishes, etc. The rooms all had beautiful original period detail - huge fireplaces, gorgeous ceiling molding, small balcony off my sister's room.

My floor, in the eves, was a bit noisy for me, but maybe not a problem for others. I'm a light sleeper.

Came up to do the marathon, so was a short walk from Paddington. Staff very friendly, bag drop off easily done on day of arrival and departure. Room was very clean and tidy, as well as the bathroom. And the kitchenette just made it easier to prepare some of our own food.

We were in the attic room so you would need to be fit and able as the lift didn't go there. It was hard after the marathon :)

The hotel is in a cul de sac so it was quiet for London, with Hyde Park and Paddington on the doorstep. The room was very clean, recently refurbished, and there was a small kitchen area.

My room was downstairs in the basement, but there was plenty of light, although the smokers were right outside.

Overall a fantastic experience at The Cleveland hotel. I arrived a little early for check in but the room was ready. The person at reception was very friendly and helpful. The facilities in the room were excellent. I did not read the amenities properly obviously and discovered too late that available facilities included: stove, kettle, microwave, fridge, pots and pans on request. The bed was very comfortable as well. Excellent location, very easy walk from Paddington station. From Paddington station I was able to get on the Elizabeth line to Heathrow so it was incredibly convenient. Close to Hyde Park as well and a lovely little park directly across the street. Will definitely stay here again if I am passing through London.

The bath room in room 6 was fair to small! was so scared of opening the glass shower door, just in case it would smash on the sink! i know its a pain but the room is big enough to extend the bathroom so this own happen.

I have stayed in this hotel several times. The rooms have small kitchenettes and a full Waitrose supermarket 12 min walk away. Junior Sainsbury's and Tesco's closer. I travel in summer, so the AC can be important. Decent Pubs & Restaurants nearby. Walking distance from Paddington Station, so convenient when travelling in or out of Heathrow. Don't miss a meal at Halepi, IMHO the best Greek Restaurant in London (5 min. walk). I will stay here again.

Be aware that the lift stops mid-floor (on the landing of the stairs). Some single rooms are reached by steep winding stairs. It appears to me that pricing takes this into account, so bargains are bargains.

We enjoyed staying at this location, it was in a nice area near Hyde park and close to a couple of metro stops. We enjoyed grabbing food near Haymarket at the many restaurants and snacks at the market. The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen area was a plus, though we didn't use much but the fridge and utensils. The bathroom area was a bit small, but overall, great value for the price. Would stay here again.

The room was large, with good clean facilities, maid service everyday Good location, safe district single woman felt very safe. Close to Paddington station, straight route that took about 8 mins even with luggage. Also close to buses feeding the centre of town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will come again.

The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and professional. They copped some flak from unreasonably 'entitled' guests with tact and understanding. I would have been less diplomatic! The hotel's position is excellent. Having aircon was a real bonus! Whilst I didn't use the facilities in the little kitchenette in the cupboard, it is an excellent inclusion.

The tv reception was poor. I'm guessing it may be an aerial issue. I was in room 19 with a door at the top of stairs leading from the lift, next to my room. Every time this door closed, a loud thump went through my room, which would wake me up.
