Central location in Chania Old Town, with detailed instructions provided on how to find it and how to gain entry. Lovely. small room, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and good ensuite bathroom with great water pressure. Very quiet overnight despite the central location. Good wifi. Would definitely recommend and definitely return.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Oh George! We really liked George whom was the host. Although we did not meet with him, he contacted early and provided every information necessary to make your stay perfect and keep constant communication. Check in and check out was flawless. I lived on Crete 10+ years and stayed many times in Chania in different time periods, this one was the by far best experience that I had. Although I knew very well the island and the place, he send many informative documents which I can confirm very useful for a first visitor. Hotel was very nice. We stayed the room with terrace and strongly recommend to pay a little extra and enjoy the space provided. Hotel was clean, it was newly renovated, new tech were installed (no old noisy AC s etc.) the location was perfect, although it does not see the port, it is literally middle in the old town which everywhere was max 5 mins. In this trip we visited 3 hotel, best performance/value hotel that we experienced. As I mentioned for me it was the best for 10+ years visiting Xania.

Actually we can not say anything bad about our stay or the hotel. If you are very picky and really try to find something, the room we picked and loved with the terrace was on the top floor, like any hotel in Xania there were no elevators and it was difficult to carry bags upstairs. Beside honestly I can not find any other thing even I try to be very picky.

Not only was the room and the hotel very clean and nice, it was also in such a perfect location. You’re literally in the old town. For me, the best part was the host. He made everything super streamline and always had the best recommendations for places. Anytime I needed anything. He was one message away, and I would often get a response within a minute. I can’t recommend this place enough.

It didn’t bother me but something people should know is you cant drive into the old town so you’ll have to walk a bit with your luggage to get to the hotel. The area is super safe and it’s not a big deal.

We loved the property! Giorgos communicates frequently and clearly to ensure everyone has smooth access to the location. They let us store our bags upon an early arrival and after our check out while we explored Chania. The room was comfortable and worked perfectly for us. It’s right in the center of old town with a great location and is still really quiet! Would highly recommend this spot!

You could hear guests walking down the stairs when coming from upstairs but it was only as they passed by quickly.

Location was outstanding; George and Artemis were phenomenal! Even before I arrived, George was sending me suggestions so that I would fully enjoy my time in Chania. Wifi excellent! Heating worked nicely. As a solo, seasoned, female guest, I felt very safe. Thanks, George and Artemis!

I cannot think of anything to meet my needs. However, guests with mobility issues would have much difficulty as there are steps throughout the property.

Great location in the heart of Old Town Chania. A short walk to everything within the old fortress walls. My (budget single) room was modern, stylish, quiet, comfortable and the perfect size for a solo traveler. May not be a good choice if you have a car, but that seems to be the case for most places in Old Town, and since I traveled by bus, it wasn't a problem for me. I was able to store my bag after checkout and relax with a (locally purchased) lunch on the rooftop terrace while I waited to head to the airport mid-afternoon.

Fantastic location. We had the room at the top of the building with the terrace which was gorgeous & you could see the harbour & the mountains from & definitely worth the extra climb up the stairs for! The host George was excellent making sure everything was perfect for our stay which it was.

The stairs up to the top are quite tricky with heavy suitcases but we expected this due to the type of properties that are in the very heart of beautiful Chania & it was worth it! We would 100% stay again so don't be put off 😍

I enjoyed my stay at Camere Maritima. The single room is small yet it was sufficient for my two-week stay. It's clean, the bed is comfy, the window is sound-proof, and the shower was the best working (= not-flooding everything) shower I ever had on Crete ;) The location is unbeatable – you are in the middle of everything yet it's quiet enough for a good night's rest. Giorgos is very responsive and helpful.

Just very minor complaints – having some space by the sink to put the hand soap bar would be great, and maybe a spoon for the instant coffee. The second window blind was stuck (more of an aesthetic issue, the blackout blind worked well).

location was perfect - within the old city. The rooms are nicely decorated, have good facilities (including tea and coffee making facilities, fridge) and are clean. The owner is very friendly, extremely responsive to questions and requests. He offered us the room earlier than the check in time and we were allowed to check out late for 2 out of the 4 rooms we booked. He aslo helped us with booking a taxi to go to the airport and gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants

we were a group of 8 people that booked 4 rooms. All the rooms are good size and comfortable except from the economy double room which is small. But this was our fault - we did not notice that this room was a lot smaller than the others we have booked. However the economy double room is more suitable for solo travelers

Absolutely loved our stay at Camere Maritima - our room was so much bigger and better than we were expecting and our roof terrace was such a great space to relax from busy Chania. Our host Giorgos was absolutely fantastic, he was always a text away and would check in to see if there was anything we needed - thank you! Spotlessly clean with a great bed and great shower, and couldn’t ask for a better location right in the old town - loved everything!!
