Central location in Chania Old Town, with detailed instructions provided on how to find it and how to gain entry. Lovely. small room, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and good ensuite bathroom with great water pressure. Very quiet overnight despite the central location. Good wifi. Would definitely recommend and definitely return.

Location was outstanding; George and Artemis were phenomenal! Even before I arrived, George was sending me suggestions so that I would fully enjoy my time in Chania. Wifi excellent! Heating worked nicely. As a solo, seasoned, female guest, I felt very safe. Thanks, George and Artemis!

I cannot think of anything to meet my needs. However, guests with mobility issues would have much difficulty as there are steps throughout the property.

Great location in the heart of Old Town Chania. A short walk to everything within the old fortress walls. My (budget single) room was modern, stylish, quiet, comfortable and the perfect size for a solo traveler. May not be a good choice if you have a car, but that seems to be the case for most places in Old Town, and since I traveled by bus, it wasn't a problem for me. I was able to store my bag after checkout and relax with a (locally purchased) lunch on the rooftop terrace while I waited to head to the airport mid-afternoon.

Fantastic location. We had the room at the top of the building with the terrace which was gorgeous & you could see the harbour & the mountains from & definitely worth the extra climb up the stairs for! The host George was excellent making sure everything was perfect for our stay which it was.

The stairs up to the top are quite tricky with heavy suitcases but we expected this due to the type of properties that are in the very heart of beautiful Chania & it was worth it! We would 100% stay again so don't be put off 😍

I enjoyed my stay at Camere Maritima. The single room is small yet it was sufficient for my two-week stay. It's clean, the bed is comfy, the window is sound-proof, and the shower was the best working (= not-flooding everything) shower I ever had on Crete ;) The location is unbeatable – you are in the middle of everything yet it's quiet enough for a good night's rest. Giorgos is very responsive and helpful.

Just very minor complaints – having some space by the sink to put the hand soap bar would be great, and maybe a spoon for the instant coffee. The second window blind was stuck (more of an aesthetic issue, the blackout blind worked well).

location was perfect - within the old city. The rooms are nicely decorated, have good facilities (including tea and coffee making facilities, fridge) and are clean. The owner is very friendly, extremely responsive to questions and requests. He offered us the room earlier than the check in time and we were allowed to check out late for 2 out of the 4 rooms we booked. He aslo helped us with booking a taxi to go to the airport and gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants

we were a group of 8 people that booked 4 rooms. All the rooms are good size and comfortable except from the economy double room which is small. But this was our fault - we did not notice that this room was a lot smaller than the others we have booked. However the economy double room is more suitable for solo travelers

The room was great! The staff were very polite and the location excellent.

To get to the room you had to climb three long floors using the stairs, but if you’re in shape you’ll have no problem.

It was really way better than what I expected; the room was just perfect and clean. The bed is very comfortable, the AC has no sound and the bathroom is the best! The water flow from the shower is strong and feels like you are easily showering not waiting 10min to remove shampoo for ex! The location is more than perfect as it is in the middle of the center, close to all attractions, and just behind the venetian port of Chania. Restaurants and shops are just seconds away! The host George is really an amazing person, very helpful and always ready to assist. He sent me documents just before my trip to advise on where to go, what to see, where to eat, which tours to take...He is really keen to give his customers the best experience. For the first time, I couldn't find anything I didn't like! I saw some reviews before I book the place about the stairs but nothing to worry about if you are fit and dont have 10 big luggage!

The location is excellent, you're one street behind the marina waterfront (20yd walk) right in the heart of town and despite the reports of other friends staying in the old town nearby, the room was silent with no noise from the busy streets. It is self check in though the owner Giorgos is on hand immediately with any answers via WhatsApp. In my time staying he managed to sort me taxis, recommend local restaurants and bars (all were excellent) and point me in the direction of butchers/supermarkets that I needed for my stay. He couldn't be more helpful or friendly. You will see the cleaner on site daily, who is also one of the friendliest people I have ever met and so efficient at her job. I had a 45 minute meeting next door and when I returned she'd prioritised cleaning my room for the day. The room is beautifully laid out, the shower very powerful and the room I stayed in had a decent sized terrace which was great to read on in the evenings, or coffee on in the mornings. For accessibility, these are old buildings so there is no lift, however my room with the roof terrace was only 3 flights. On departure I was offered the room an extra two hours without asking due to a later arrival of the next guest, which was hugely appreciated. I loved my stay (it was recommended by a friend who had stayed twice previously) and will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our stay at Camere Maritima - our room was so much bigger and better than we were expecting and our roof terrace was such a great space to relax from busy Chania. Our host Giorgos was absolutely fantastic, he was always a text away and would check in to see if there was anything we needed - thank you! Spotlessly clean with a great bed and great shower, and couldn’t ask for a better location right in the old town - loved everything!!
