Breakfast was excellent and we loved being able to have a different thing each morning (or repeat something we loved!!). We also dined and/or had drinks from the restaurant and bar and everything was good to great. From the moment we walked onto the property, the staff were so friendly and helpful and I was honestly a bit sad to have to leave them at the end of our stay. We got great recommendations for things to do around the city and they arranged many of our taxis for going out and about.

From the website, I didn't realize that not all of the rooms were ocean facing, so I wished I knew to have requested an ocean room view. The room was great, but waking up to that view would have been incredible. For two people, there was not a ton of counter/desk space for getting ready or writing/working at a desk top.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel! From start to finish, everything was above expectations. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. The private pool was a dream — crystal clear, peaceful, and such a luxury to have all to ourselves. It truly made our stay feel extra special. A huge thank you to the incredible staff, especially Vaso, Xrysa, and most of all, Dinitra. Vaso and Xrysa were always friendly and welcoming, creating a lovely atmosphere around the hotel. But Dinitra was simply amazing — she was incredibly helpful every single time we needed something, always with a smile, and genuinely went out of her way to make sure our experience was perfect. She made a big difference in our stay, and we’re so grateful to her. The breakfast every morning was fantastic — fresh, varied, and delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel one night and it was just as amazing. Every bite was full of flavor and beautifully presented. This hotel is truly a gem — clean, luxurious, and with a team that makes you feel right at home. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

There is nothing bad you can say about this hotel!!

We had the most magical stay! Gorgeous rooms with high quality finishes, stunning views and sunsets from the top floor, incredible breakfast with huge portions that filled us up so much that lunch wasn't necessary (plus we brought tupperware to save some of it for later in the day!). It was such a treat and we felt so looked after by the amazing staff. I also had a relaxing hot stone massage, and we booked a great excursion via the hotel, who packed us up a lunch to bring with us as we missed breakfast. Thank you for the most relaxing holiday - it felt like we were in our own private hotel!

It's not really walkable into town, but we knew this and it was quite nice to be out of the hustle and hustle. It was a short 10-15 min €2 bus ride into town or a €10 taxi. We got a little too hot on our balcony in the afternoon but asked for an umbrella and it was swiftly brought up!

Breakfast very good every day. Pool was a welcome relief after a day in the sun. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly. The view from the room was exceptional and the terrace was a good size.

The location could be a challenge at the top of a hill and an hours walk plus to town. Taxis were relatively cheap however. The terraces would all have benefitted from some form of shade. Parasols were available on request and we noticed a number of people had asked for them, however you had to ask and the sun was pretty intense by mid afternoon. Wi fi was down at one point (I rely on it for work so that was a problem) and this was apparently due to a power cut - although emergency generation kept the lights on (!?). Would have expected a TV with the ability to stream Apps.

The hotel itself is very pleasant and well decorated. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you in anyway they can. Our room was even better than in the photos, spacious, comfortable, A/C, Wi-fi, personal swimming pool and long chairs, with everything you might need during your stay. The breakfast was high quality, you do have to chose in advance, meaning the previous day, what you will want but it's well worth it and with lots of options to chose from. Another positive point was a parking spot in their garage since we had a rented car. The hotel also has a little gym room, pool and spa, which we end up not using due to other activities we had planned but it looked nice and can be a plus for some people. Lastly, the location is good if you want to escape the "city center rush" and have a beautiful (but distant) view on the port and shore. However going to the center of Chania will require some compromise. We had our own car so it was fine to go but finding a parking spot (in particular for free) can be a challenge. Walking is possible but it will take quite some time. The alternatives are then bus or taxi, which give you less freedom or the need to pay. In any case, we truly enjoyed the entire experience, we were definitely happy with our stay!

The hotel had a fantastic location. The view, the location, and the room were all excellent. The staff were the kindest and friendliest people who made sure that my fiancée and I had everything we needed. They made sure both our birthdays were celebrated well. Ask the staff for recommendations on what to do! They have the best suggestions.

The pool was not as private as we had hoped. The door was not completely soundproof — you could hear the fountain outside, but it gets turned off at midnight and back on around 6–7 in the morning. Additionally, you could hear people on the top floor dragging chairs back and forth. When the hotel advertises that you can have breakfast in your room, there should be a larger table on the balcony to fit everything.

Beyond the spa, the amenities were equally impressive – from the tranquil pool and lounge chairs - every aspect of our comfort was clearly considered. This hotel and the staff have my heart. My personal experience from arrival and throughout my stay was exceptional. I was firstly greeted by the beautiful design and architecture of the hotel and once at reception, I was sincerely, warmly welcomed by Kristi (excuse me if I have mis-spelt her name). Kristi gave a very good and everlasting impression representing this lovely hotel and made me feel so welcome when I arrived. She personally showed me my room, which had the best view, and explained all I needed to know for my stay, including how to order the lovely breakfast . As I was solo travelling for the first time on my birthday, my partner had called up and asked for the room to be decorated and they executed a lovely decorated room really well with a heartfelt birthday note and bottle of bubbly. I also asked Kristi for recommendations on places to go for shopping, site seeing and dining. Kristi did not disappoint with the information she shared and also booked me a fabulous restaurant for my birthday dinner. The spa is beautiful and tranquil and I had the best hot stone massage. I was also kindly provided a packed lunch to go when I was going on a beach trip excision and had to leave early, therefore missing beeakfast. Overall, I had THE best time. The bar has been set very high for an adult only hotel that is not only aesthetically pleasing but where the customer service is excellent. I will be returning and have recommended to family and friends.

The only small downside I have was the privacy of the left side of my pool.  It's overlooked due to the location of the room.  If the hotel consider a small privacy screen on that side (which is close to the road) then it would make it perfect.

I loved everything about this hotel. At first sight - we just thought that everything was beautiful and clean. But then we realized that this hotel really cares about their guests and the service is really out of this world. Chris, that was in the reception majority of the time that we stayed there, always aimed for us to have the best time even though it rained while we stayed in the hotel for a majority of our visit. She and her colleagues always greeted us with smiles, giving us tips about where to go and how to get to those places. I know that it doesn’t sound like it’s anything more than ”regular” service, but when you meet people that treat you so good as they treated us in a 5-star hotel (and mind you - that doesn’t happen often since we mainly stay at 5-star hotels) then you appreciate the whole trip in a complete other way. Also, me and my boyfriend have worked within hospitality and service during the majority of our careers and we know that good service takes energy and commitment. If the manager of this hotel sees this review - please tell everybody on your team how great they are! Because we will be back in the fall again (booked another visit day 2 of our stay). And (!) not to forget to mention the spa. I got a treatment from Maria Hanaroli down at the spa and it was amazing! If you stay at the hotel make sure to get a treatment with her to make your trip even more luxurious.

Wonderful stay at Lagon Life Spirit Boutique in Chania! We had an amazing time at this hotel. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the sea and mountains was unforgettable. The breakfast was delicious every morning, with a great variety and everything fresh and beautifully presented. Room was clean and cozy.
