A lovely traditional hotel. Good location away from the chaos of the centre of Chania but within easy walking distance. If you didn’t want to walk there is a bus stop across the road - buses are every 20 minutes and it costs 2 euros. Bars and restaurants within easy reach along the waterfront. Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful and the place is spotless. Lovely roof terrace with a few sunbeds.

We liked everything

The original part of the building is really beautiful and each room is decorated with elegance and comfort. Excellent location.

Mostly it was fine - some of the staff could have been friendlier and a little more welcoming. Their policy for the jacuzzi is strange - only turned on for a few hours late morning and a few in early evening - not quite sure why. I had visions of all the guests standing in line all at once during these hours - very strange. The quality of the food in the breakfast buffet was good - however the hot dishes were cold.

Breakfast and service were great, but it feit like a complete package all together!

There was no ventilator or something like it in the bathroom, so smell and moist takes a while to disappear

Amazing hotel! Can't recommend it highly enough. The building itself is beautiful (it's the old Britishy embassy), the location is perfect (walking distance to the center of Chania), the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the entire facility is super clean, and the breakfast spread was excellent.

What a fantastic hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, super clean, the location is perfect, the ambiance - there is literally nothing I can fault. We were given an upgrade in room which is always a lovely treat. The garden is a haven from the heat in Crete and is super relaxing. My only regret is that we only stayed for 1 night, but we will certainly be back.

Welcoming hotel with genuinely warm and incredibly helpful staff. The meticulously maintained property, a former 19th-century embassy, charms with a delightful fountain in the front garden. The well-kept grounds are graced by a few adorable cats. While the breakfast room is somewhat cozy, the diverse menu featuring Greek specialties more than compensates for it. Alternatively, guests can savor breakfast in the garden or the spacious bar area, complete with comfortable seating. The rooftop terrace provides a view of the city and the sea, complemented by a petite pool. The hotel rooms are attractively furnished, with small balconies and a kettle provided. The bathroom is visually appealing, though, features a slightly snug shower. A closed but slightly audible connecting door to the neighboring room and non-functioning USB ports were the only inconveniences. Opting to book a rental car through the hotel (Halepa Rentals) turned out to be a good choice (I highly recommend it), and there is a parking lot behind the hotel. The hotel is lovely. Everything is designed like "in old good times" and I love it. The bed was really large and comfortable, everything was spotless. The jakililuzzi on the roof was cool. Not only can you leave your luggage after checkout, but also use shower and towels in the basement. The wild beach was in 5 min walk and the Old City in 20. People saying there was not enough food for breakfast- just wondering what do you usually eat at home? Omelets, boiled eggs, cereals, fried bacon and sausages, Greek yogurt, honey, nuts, dried and fresh fruits, wegetables (fresh and fried), croissants, buns, bread of different kinds, spreads....

Not like it is a minus, but it would be better to have a hair conditioner, not only shampoo.

The rooftop area is a very nice bonus …. The sheets and beds were very comfortable. Many common spaces for you to relax and lounge in.

That you had to get out of your car to come and go to open the parking gate. I can see on your way in for security but leaving should have a sensor in concrete to automatically open the gate.

Incredibly helpful staff and beautiful hotel in a great location. Easy walk into Chania town. Really nice breakfast which you could eat inside or outside.

The air conditioning in the room was not very good. I found it difficult to sleep as I was too hot. You could not lower temperature from 24 degrees.
