Exceptional stuff very welcoming and friendly ! Need to mention the three lovely ladies that served our breakfast with great smile every morning with homemade treats as marmalade and Cretan products ! They made all the difference and they are the heart and soul of the Villa; thank you The villa is very well kept in the traditional vibe and the rooms were patios and well equipped! The outdoor swimming pool area was amazing and surrounded by beautiful garden. The villa is very close to the old town of Chania and has great restaurants in walking distance. The view from the hotel is stunning as well

An absolutely beautiful hotel full of charm. We had the sea view suite which was very well equipped. It's a shame it didn't have it's own private balcony but there was a shared one virtually next door where we had our breakfast. The staff were exceptional - so friendly and couldn't do enough for you

It's about 20 minutes walk to Chania old town which is a struggle in the heat - luckily there's a great set of bars and tavernas about halfway! It's not a negative about the hotel but just a warning for others who might not want to walk so far. There is a regular bus which stops closeby

A very well appointed and atmospheric hotel. It felt very spacious and grand in a country house sort of way (it was an Embassy), yet very convivial and friendly. The room was very lovely, spotless and airy with wonderful sea views across to the old town and the distant mountains. We adored using the grand main balcony above reception, which we seemed to have for our own private use, which got the afternoon and evening sun with unobstructed views looking out to the sea. All the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the calm reception staff who gave us such a lovely welcome and lots of advice. The hotel is located 1500m from the old town harbour, but the easy safe stroll there is all along the coast path / promenade past bars and restaurant. We loved exploring the Tannery location, with very local museums and the lovely Periplous Restaurant (gorgeous fine dining experience by the sea at very reasonable pricing). We were reluctant to move on to our next booked hotel in the Old Town, but the two centres were a real treat to explore different aspects of Chania.

Our lovely spacious room was on split levels. Just be careful judging the stair steps in low light at night.

I like that the villa has a great historical context. You can have breakfast either in your suite, garden or the balcony. I mostly had mine on the balcony as you then get the sea view. What a lovely way to have your breakfast. The staff were very very helpful. I was a solo traveller and they were all extremely helpful special shout out to Amy ☺️in fact special shout out to all staff sorry I do not recall their names. They were all brilliant. The villa is not too far from the town centre if you can manage the walk in the heat should take you about 20 mins or the local bus runs every,20 mins of course there is the taxi but that cost will start to mount up. The people are great, the food is great I felt safe walking around in the evenings

My only little gripe is there are a few stairs to get into the villa. I struggled to lift my suitcase up the stairs but got help from staff members once I got inside the villa. But as mentioned due to the historical context of the building there would not be any lifts. That did not take away from the great time that I had there and I will return.👏🏾☺️

Loved every minute of my stay here. I felt so looked after. Fantastic elevated location opposite the sea. I loved it was away from the crowds at old town but easy 10 minute walk to access all that it offers. Several neighborhood cafes restaurants and supermarket nearby as alternative which I personally preferred. The pool is amazing in meticulously maintained garden setting, I especially enjoyed having breakfast there. There are several beach swimming spots a few minutes walk away as well. The absolute standout is the staff!!! Everyone was so helpful with local knowledge, friendly and genuinely caring about making sure guests are beautifully looked after without being intrusive. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. I didn’t have or need a car But there is ample secure parking on site if needed. I definitely will stay here again on my next visit to Chania

Everything. The staff were exceptional - could not be more kind, thoughtful and helpful. The view from the balcony is sensational. Breakfasts were lovely. There are exceptional restaurants nearby and it’s an easy walk into town or to a sandy beach. The rooms were spotless and well appointed with everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, glasses, cutlery, plates, corkscrew). The pool/garden area is gorgeous and very relaxing.

If you’re clumsy - would recommend the single level suites.

Absolutely superb place, old fashioned and yet all mod cons. Staff wonderful, plenty for breakfast, breathtaking views, neighbourhood genuine and not in the touristy centre, pool lovely. It is not cheap but Chania is very expensive. Also close to several good restaurants. Our room was on two floors as are rooms 5 to 8, some of them with side sea views, others with full sea views. Splendid balcony with stunning views for breakfast, or you can eat in the garden or even in your room. We shall be back!

The sofa bed in the downstairs room was a little hard, but that is nitpicking and subjective as everything else was fantastic.

Beautiful garden and pool area, very relaxing . In a pretty area and located out of the main area, but is right on a busy road. Property was stunning. The staff were amazing, friendly and made us feel very special. It was my husbands birthday and the team organised a cake for him, which I was so pleased about. Out rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast on the shared balcony was really nice. Thank you villa team .

I assumed each room had their own balcony, which I miss read upon booking but that did not matter as the garden is so beautiful and peaceful we used that in the evening to play cards and have drinks and dinner. Even though the property was full, it didn’t feel like that.

Excellent breakfast. Beds were firmer than US standards but comfortable for Europe. Pillows comfortable. Very clean. Great location, good security. Rooms are spacious. Small boutique hotel that is very charming with great character. Views are amazing.

Pool was clean but too deep 4 ft to 12 ft and there are no stairs to enter. The ladder doesn't extend far enough into the water to allow a person with limited mobility to easily use the pool. Small hot tub that isn't heated would be easy to enter though as an option
