This was a fabulous hotel in a great location, but it didn't have a kettle or tea making facilities. As with most city centre hotels it was not quiet and some Italian drivers are not patient at any time of the day or night but, on our budget, location was most important and it's within 15 minutes of just about everything. Don't miss the food-market and the leather market outside it.

It doesn't have tea making facilities which is very unusual in this day and age, it doesn't advertise them so don't be disappointed if they are not there. There are plenty of exceptional cafes nearby.

Location location location! Very very convenient hotel. 6 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. Very centrally located. In the area you can find everything that you need! The staff was excellent! Very helpful and always with a smile! The room was in a very good condition, clean and it was very spacious. The bathroom was bright due to a window. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Florence!

The bedroom definitely needs more lighting and the bathroom needs some fixing (wallpapers and skirting boards). The pillows seemed to be old and were not comfortable, they need to be changed. Also if you are a light sleeper have in mind that because it is very centrally located, you can hear noise from outside and the other rooms. That wasn't a problem for us. Also it would have been nicer for this hotel to renovate the corridors as well. It wouldn't look so old.

The location is perfect, opposite the most beautiful cafe, right near the station and walking distance to nearly everything you need. The room is huge, plenty of space for all your belongings, the windows open up to see onto the street and lots of natural lighting. The staff were lovely especially the lady that worked the front desk she was so nice

The tv was the size of a photo frame on the other side of the room, we didn’t even bother with it we couldn’t see it. The beds were hard and the pillows were hard, flat, and terrible we slept on our puffer jackets instead. The shower was the worst one I’ve ever experienced it was tiny and awkward and had water pouring out everywhere through the doors

Excellent location, literally a 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the Duomo/Uffizi gallery; nice rooms and friendly staff. The room was decent sized and quite comfortable. Easy to get around with a ton of eating places nearby.

The shower stall was extremely small and rather inconvenient. Also, it would have been nice to have tea/coffee arrangements in the room.

I saw many negative comments about the property but I don’t understand where the negativity is coming from. yes, the hotel is old and the facilities are not spectacular but they are good enough. We were out all day and were coming back to the hotel just to shower and to sleep and we found that the hotel is comfortable enough. AND the location was excellent. Moreover, the staff were very, very friendly! I would recommend the hotel for short stays

We had two small windows in the room and they were quite high so we couldn’t see anything. The shower was a bit dirty as well but other than that the hotel was good for our 2 night stay :)

Location was amazing. You are situated right in the heart of everything. You are so close to the train station which takes you everywhere. So close to all the tourist attractions and shops / bars / restaurant. Everything you want from a holiday is on your doorstep. Staff were great and very helpful with recommendations for tours and also generally helpful. The baggage storage after check out was amazing. Give you an extra day in Florence to see more. We left our bags till 4pm so we’re able to do more sightseeing.

Room was a little tired looking but wouldn’t put me off booking again. The main thing was it was clean.

The location is fantastic, close to the train station and very near the duomo Santa Maria! Very walkable area. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, free WiFi was good and our room was spacious and comfortable. Appreciated the coded front door entry after hours, felt more secure.

Didn’t upset us, but some wallpaper was pealing and the window sills worn. Because of the location there is definitely street noise, but with windows closed not bad at all, location was worth it.

Staff, service, excellent location, great wifi, the hall way is not yet renovated but the room ( up the first set of stairs/elevator on level 3 was fantastic! It’s in the heart of the city so there is city noise. That is not a fault- I love the hustle!! Fantastic stay! Awesome coffee over the road!

Loved it all! Would be an 11/10 if there was a kettle in the room to go with the bar fridge!!

The location was great! Short walk from the train station and Cathedral. The staff were lovely and approachable and the aircon was amazing for the few days we were there at 36 degrees and humid!

The bed base was dirty and dusty and the side tables dusty. The hotel was old and half renovated and half not. There was no safe and the lock on the door didn’t work properly

The location was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. The bedroom was very clean. The shower could have used some cleaning on the bottom, but the water pressure was great and the water got nice and hot. The bed was comfortable.

As mentioned, the shower caulking needed cleaning. The AC doesn’t work very well. Being able to open the window was very helpful. The wallpaper looks like it’s sagging in spots, perhaps because of the humidity there. That is just cosmetic.
