Pushing a suitcase on the cobblestone sidewalks of Florence is quite tiring, so I was very glad that this hotel was very close to Santa Maria Novella Station. I am truly grateful for the kindness of the hotel staff (he carried my suitcase up to my room as there was no elevator, and suggested an efficient walking route to see the sights of Florence and gave me a map with it marked on it. He also kindly agreed to store my luggage after check-out). Although it was an old building, it had a great atmosphere and I really felt like I was staying in Florence. It was very clean and well-maintained. There are a lot of mosquitoes in Florence in summer, so I applaud the fact that there was an electric mosquito repellent in the room! Unfortunately, the coffee machine in the breakfast area was out of order (according to the hotel staff, he had asked a repairperson to come, but it was taking a while for him to come). It was a truly Italian moment.

Nothing in particular. For this location, this cleanliness, and this price, I am very satisfied with my stay for just one night. However, the facilities are very simple, so there is no refrigerator in the room. And, the room faced the main road, so the noise from outside was a bit of a problem (but considering the good location, I felt that a little noise from outside was not a big deal).

The location was fantastic, every sights are in 15-20 minutes walking distance. The staff was very helpful and provided some tips where to go, what to discover. The bed was comfortable. Next to the hotel there is a perfect breakfast and coffee spot. Highly recommend!

Our room was on the 1st floor and was above a very busy street, by having construction work from 7 am across the street made it a bit challenging to have a quality sleep as the room is not soundproof. The doors are very narrow and makes it uncomfortable to move with all your luggages and staffs. This is valid also for the bathroom door. There is no elevator, so ask for room on the lower floors if you have issues with carrying everything on the stairs.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Romagna! The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the main train station and within easy reach of Florence’s main attractions. The Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and many other landmarks are all just a few minutes away on foot, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, since it's a central hotel, it was a convenient place to have a short rest in between sightseeing or drop off the shopping bags and go out again :) it's a good choice if you're looking for a well-located, budget-friendly stay in Florence.

The Romagna is very well situated in a nice area close to all of the main attractions. All members of the staff were lovely. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate, and we enjoyed it. We were given a free upgrade from a budget to a standard room, thanks very much. The whole place was immaculately clean. Nice bed linen and towels. Good hot shower with good pressure. Shower gels/shampoo provided. For value for money, we could not beat it.

Our toilet cistern in room 18 had a life of its own, but once we mastered it, no real issues. The bed mattress was firm but comfortable, the only thing wrong with the bed was the thin very hard pillows. They could do with replacing really. If you are a larger person, the toilet, certainly in room 18, is not for you. It’s tight, I’m 5’10”, and my knees were touching the wall while seated. Not too much information I hope. If you can’t go upstairs, oh dear. Still, having said that, it’s an old building, and there’s not much to be done about that. At the end of the day this is a two star hotel. If it’s bells and whistles you’re after, put your hand in your pocket and go large. All the best with that. Florence hotels are not cheap.

The room corresponded to my expectations - we didn't book anything fancy, but the location is absolutely amazing. We are less than 2 minutes away (on foot) from the Duomo and the main streets and spots. So of course there is a lot to do and quick services around - lots of restaurants, bars/pubs, and coffees around. It was a pretty good stay in that way.

If your room is in a higher level/floor, be mindful hat there is no elevator. Also, the bathroom in my room was very tiny, which I knew from beforehad but still surprised me a little.

The location of the hotel is very close to Duomo Cathedra, very close to many historical objects or many nice restaurants or bars. Hotel's staff is very friendly and helpful. Airconditioning in the room is good and silence, and windows are tight, so there is no sound of street traffic.

Hotel hasn't the lift, and staircase is a narrow. Be careful if you don't like stairs

Location was amazing. The staff went above and beyond helping me find an additional room for unexpected visitors to the city when this hotel was full. Price was great

It's not a fancy or cozy hotel. I describe it as dorm room ish But this is only a problem if you are looking to hang out in your room. I just used it as a home base and to sleep. It fit my needs perfectly. Bed was a bit hard.

We really liked the location. Close to the train and all the major sites. We were given a larger room at no extra cost due to our longer stay. Our room faced the street but had such great sound proofing windows that it was no issue as far as noise went. The beds were very comfortable as well. There are many good restaurants and sandwich places close by. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at the hotel ( which was convenient ). The front desk staff and the breakfast room staff were helpful and friendly. They really met all our needs: corkscrew, hairdryer, restaurant suggestions etc. Overall a very nice stay!

There were very few things to dislike. The bathroom was very small- but that is typical for most European cities. A few pictures in the rooms would add a nice touch. There were really fun retro movie posters throughout the rest of the hotel.

The location is perfect and Stefano and the staff are very helpful and nice. I was a solo traveler and received an up grade to a double room for 6 nights which was a pleasant surprise. You will be right on the main street from the train station to the Duomo but the noise was not a problem since they have excellent modern windows than when shut block 95% of the noise. The pastry/sandwich/coffee/cocktail shop right next to the entrance is a major plus!...those guys there are great!

No elevator

It was easy to access as is close to tram and train station, and easy to find from there. It is centrally located to historic district, with food and bars literally a few steps away.

There is a lot of noise that occurs from the plumbing. The mornings that I unfortunately awoke around 6 am, I couldn't get back to sleep because of the loud noise from others flushing toilets, showering, and talking. With the window closed, it does a good job keeping out street noise, but it is the hotel noise that is more of a problem. Also, the door to our bathroom did not close properly.
