The stay at Adelina Guesthouse was wonderful. Nice contact with the owner who helped solve every problem. We were able to arrive on New Year's Eve even later at night. There was a welcome surprise, instructions and a very useful map of Rome waiting for us there. Clean rooms, fresh-smelling bedding. Delicious Italian breakfasts served in the rooms. Every day we could taste croissants and toast with Nutella cream and marmalade, as well as drink delicious coffee or juice. I will be happy to come back and recommend it to others. A guesthouse in a good location, metro, buses, tram.

The staff were very friendly and obliging. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable for a guest house. The location was very good, if you are prepared to walk around Rome, which we were not only prepared to do but enjoyed doing. A great base away from the business of the centre of Rome. Absolutely recommend if that’s what you are looking for in your accommodation. I would certainly use it again.

Maybe we could have been asked if we’d like to change some of the breakfast items from day to day, but that is a minor criticism.

Viola and Maria are very lovely and helpful. The room was tidy and the bathroom was spotless and it had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept really well. We thought it was very good value for money. Breakfast is simple but enough for a good start to the day. I saw comments on here about the road being noisy and the area being a little far out but we did not find this at all, everything we needed was there and it was nice being close to the train station. It really wasn't noisy at all and we felt safe walking around there at all times of day and it is only a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants. It's very close to lots of transport options but to be honest, we were happy to walk everywhere and could walk to the main attractions in Rome in 20 minutes so it's only far out if you're afraid of walking. Really good value for money and we would definitely stay here again if we stayed in Rome.

Nothing for the price, very good. Perhaps a couple of coathooks would be good in the room as we had coats as our visit was in the winter but we were also happy to hang these in the wardrobe.

Everyone was very nice, breakfast was brought to the room every morning which was lovely! The room was perfect with a balcony and a few toiletry necessities provided. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again!

The breakfast serving time was not always consistent but we still appreciated it! The location is a little further from some of the main attractions of Rome but is central enough to get everywhere easily via public transport or walking so we didn't mind!

Viola explained everything to us. Security is good as there are four locks to get through including lock on bedroom door. Cute pizza shop downstairs with good pizza and more waters. Breakfast served to room but it’s pretty much croissants and coffee and juice. Room is nicely decorated including the gorgeous chandelier hanging in the middle.

Location is good to trains and busses although we couldn’t figure out bus pick up or where the stops were to catch it. You do have to walk or take a bus or tram to train. This is not in city centre but close enough.

The rooms looked exactly the same as the images on the internet, very clean and neat. The host was very welcoming, communicated with us well and fulfilled specific requests I had. The area felt safe and very close to the tram and bus stop which made getting around very convenient.

The breakfast was basic but nonetheless delicious and satisfying. There was also a lack of signage. Although I was close to the property there was only a tiny sign next to a door. The area around the property is quite filthy however not in plain sight when you're in the room.

Maria, the owner, is great! Very proffessional, very focused, meticulous, loving and caring! Maria, you are the best, Mum says hi to you, Viola, you have my heart, so sweet, so heartly! Francesca, take care, you are doing good job❤ I was in Rome 9 years ago, so I know the location of Porta Maggiore - the best location to be in Rome, by my oppinon, it is half-way to everything! I was looking for accomodation at this particular place and came across Adelina Guesthouse. It was even more special to find location at site of previous historic hotel! Perfect cleaness, soundproof - do not believe the review that says differently, and even with soundproof windows, you will hear police and ambulance, that is - you will not hear, since human brain does not detect such noise (it registers that as noise, but it automatically deletes it from active hearing range, like indistinct chatter, music). So, people WHO hear such sounds and think windows are not soundproof, have mental issues. Adelina Guesthouse is not the problem - they are. I slept soundly during the whole stay and I am a light sleeper. As for the review of Romanian couple who complained to cold, I WAS in Romania in winter and they have minus 40 degrees. So, if you are from Romania and FIND ROME COLD, what is then warm for you, Syberia!?? That is just ridiculous. Adelina Guest house is highly reccommendable and the host is great!❤ If I come for the 3rd time, I will deffinitely stay at Maria's Adelina Guesthouse.maria, live long and prosper!

Only has two full days in Rome for a first time visit. Maria was super helpful with tips and advice and I ended up going to a really great restaurant she recommended and fitted in all the main tourist attractions. Had a great trip! On top of that room was really well presented, was quiet with the doors closed and bed was super comfy. Location for me was also great as walking distance to station and the attractions. Also well priced!
