Location is great, the breakfast is very good and can order outside menu items. The receptionist is super helpful and made us feel welcome.

Wish it had Washing Machine

The SM Vatican Relais was a great choice for our family during a 3-night stay in Rome. First and foremost, the staff was superb!! Ludovica at the front desk is an angel. Not only is she exceptionally friendly, polite, and efficient, but she also knows how to resolve any issue. At one point, we had an unexpected medical situation. Ludovica took care of everything and had our little one in urgent care within 30 minutes. Matteo was also extremely responsive and efficient. The breakfast always arrived precisely on time and exactly as requested. The B&B is equipped with modern furnishings and is in a gorgeous old Roman building in a great neighborhood, with many restaurants and shops steps away.

My stay at SM Vatican Relais B&B with my children was very enjoyable🥰The hotel is cozy and located in a quiet area which is perfect for real rest. The room was spacious and well equipped which provided ideal comfort for me and the kids. The hosts (Matteo, Virginia and others) are very friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any questions. The breakfasts are delicious and varied - the kids appreciated the freshly baked croissants ☺️ The hotel and the room were very clean and quiet. This place was also ideal for walking around the neighborhood due to its location close to parks and all famous attractions in Rome . The area and the cleansing, very clean and well maintained

I liked that the breakfast was served on a cute table and wheeled into the room. I liked that good restaurants and shopping were in walking distance. I loved that the hotel staff provided a list of restaurants to eat at that were all delicious and well priced. Mostly I appreciated how helpful and understanding the staff was when we realized that we mistakenly hadn't booked our last night. We literally had five minutes to get out of our room in order to make it to a tour we had booked. The staff helped us find a new hotel, was willing to hold our bags until we could move in, and even collected/returned some important items that we left behind in the mad rush to leave. We were very grateful for their help.

There was a smell to the room like maybe a rat died in the walls. No windows or view.

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Rome. Matteo and Ludovica were warm and welcoming, and were very patient when I attempted to practice speaking Italian. If you don't speak Italian, I believe they speak English, Spanish and French as well. Breakfast in the room every morning was delicious and very convenient. I was celebrating a birthday during our trip, and they surprised me with a bottle of sparkling wine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Rome.

Brilliant location. All main historical sites and locations within easy walking distance. Nice neighbourhood. Great communication from Matteo prior to arrival. Clean and with all amenities provided. Lovely breakfast served to our room to get the day started. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Ludovic showed us the best routes to take to access the main regions from the site. On the map were some really nice food recommendations for the 3 main neighbourhoods and the ones we tried were all really good. Overall we had a lovely stay, ideal place to explore Rome from and would highly recommend

Firstly and foremost - the kind and friendly attitude of Ludovica and Matteo. The communication was great prior to arrival and once we arrived we were greeted and explained everything and given 5 star concierge service, i.e. location of all the tourist destinations, best restaurants, forms of travel, shopping districts, tips and tricks to make our stay more memorable. We were quickly settled in our spacious and pristinely clean room which had all the amenities, fast internet, smart TV, comfortable beds, air conditioning, mini bar with very reasonable prices, comfortable bathroom with two sinks which was very adequate for a family of 4. Breakfast was fantastic Roma style cappuccino, espresso and pastries but there was also other choices available - including savory options, fruit and vegan options - it was served in the room at a time you specify and they were always on time. We went there for a special occasion to celebrate a special birthday and they arranged a gift for us for the day to say thank you that we have chosen them for the occasion which was very kind. They also assisted us with organising a taxi for the trip back to the airport. Thank you so much for your hospitality and please don't change anything, you are great!

We had a truly wonderful stay! The hotel is located in a very quiet and comfortable area, just a 15-minute walk from both the Vatican and the gates of the old town. There are several lovely restaurants nearby, which made evenings especially enjoyable. Breakfasts were a real treat — delivered to our room at the time of our choosing, and always fresh and tasty. Whenever we needed anything, all it took was a simple request. The staff was absolutely delightful — genuinely helpful and incredibly kind. Their warmth made our stay feel even more special. Overall, our visit was an absolute pleasure. We would love to return!

The cleanliness, the friendliness and openness of the staff, the timing of the breakfasts, etc. were all great. But all this can be bought for money elsewhere. There is something you cannot buy with money in this hotel. And these people taught us that again. After leaving the hotel and before boarding our flight at the airport, we remembered that we had forgotten money and credit cards in the hotel safe and I immediately contacted Metteo at the hotel. Matteo had the safe opened and immediately shared the pictures with me. He then transferred the money to me and sent my other cards and belongings by courier to my address. This reliability and trust is not easy to find everywhere. Trust cannot be bought with money and you can trust this hotel and these people with your cat and your property.
