The Guesthouse is in a good location, instructions were clear to allow entry, it was kept clean at all times, and looked as pictured in the advert. The bed was comfortable, and the location was excellent, within walking distance of the Vatican, and adjacent to local transport routes. The property has functioning air conditioning, and the facilities are generally in keeping and welcoming. We were given a reduced rate because of the issue with the shower.

The shower unfortunately was very cold, and the residents upstairs were particularly noisy on a Friday evening which kept us awake for quite some hours. The Guesthouse naturally don't control that, so it is difficult to hold it against the property. There was nobody on reception to greet us, though this was down to an unexpected family emergency.

I had a great three-night stay at this guest house in Rome. The staff were incredibly friendly and communicative, making check-in and my overall stay very smooth. The room had a unique design, which made it feel more special than a standard hotel stay. The bathroom was modern, clean, and well-maintained. I also appreciated the access to good coffee whenever I wanted! The location was excellent—just a short walk to the Vatican and well-connected to other parts of the city. Overall, a lovely place to stay with great hospitality.

It was a lovely stay at the Borromeo Guesthouse. The owner was very helpful, messaged back fast and answered our questions how to get around Rome; also helped us to order a taxi to airport for our early morning flight. The access to the Guesthouse was easy, all the instructions were messaged to us. The main hall inside and the room itself looked like a museum! Interior is 10/10. In the hallway/reception a coffee-pods machine was available to use if someone likes to kickstart their morning with an espresso. The breakfast itself was in a small cafe across the road "Il Lunch" and included a choice of coffee, wide range of Italian pastries/croissants, juice and simple ham and cheese toast, other things like sandwiches are for extra cost if you are still hungry in the morning. Location is great overall, very close to bus stops to take you to the centre of Rome and Castel Sant'Angelo and Vatican were in a walking range.

Frankly, for a couple of days the hotel was out of hot water both in the shower and tap due to engineering works/problems in the area, which is not the owners fault at all.

The lobby and common areas are attractive and warmly decorated. Everything was clean, quiet, not a huge room but sufficient. The mattress needs to be turned as my side sagged a lot. The location was fine for our 1 night. There are plenty of restaurants around and it’s nice to walk. We didn’t get the instructions for access until mid morning which was too late for us and it was by WhatsApp. We should have been told in a message on booking or told to check WhatsApp. The rooms are on the 3rd floor of an apt building. You won’t see a big sign. I recommend that you google the photos of the door and the location. It helps. AND be sure to have the access codes before you arrive, not within a few hours before arrival and you don’t have wi fi. A local gentleman called the hotel for us and got us the access information.

Access to the building was a problem because it was not sent early enough nor was I told to check WhatsApp. I only checked for a message on booking. With the correct information it was easy. Mattress needs to be turned because it sagged a lot. It was comfortable but has a dip.

Great location, we walked to all of the touristy places but were out of the main area packed with tourists. The access to the building was very safe. Received instructions a day before our arrival. Room was nice- just like the pictures. Modern bathroom. Nice breakfast served at neighbourhood cafe Il lunch

The hotel is charming and cozy. There were wonderful works of art in the rooms and lobby. It was a wonderful stay for us in Rome. The location is very good. The room was clean and cleaned every day. Our host was kind and very caring towards us. Breakfast was organized in a cafe nearby, where they make the most wonderful cappuccino in Rome.

The room was small for four. maybe for younger children it will be great.

Comfortable room, especially the bed. Slept like a baby. Netflix was included. Good Wifi. Excellent customer service. Very thorough instructions were given to locate and access the guestroom. Carlo promptly answered my questions via WhatsApp. He also helped me book a taxi to the airport.

The shower had mold everywhere. You can tell the shower was cleaned, but it had mold embedded in the grout/caulking in the walls and border of the shower.

Really good location to all Rome's must see attractions. Fantastic host. Highly recommended!

Minor thing - it would be nice to have some cups or glasses in the room for water or..... wine :)

close to city center, close to SIT bus stop from FCO airport, tidy, clear instructions to enter the building, clean room, fridge available

One mirror was loose from the wall, and the light cover of the light inside the room, located on the ceiling was shaking a bit when people would walk on the upper level and could be made a such it does not vibrate and make noise. It was small noise however and we slept very well.

Great communication with the host, room was perfect for our needs, location is close to almost all points of interest, room price is probably underpriced, when we visited it was 39° and the aircon was amazing, breakfast was tasty and set you up for a day of exploring, host very helpful and friendly. It's a 10 out of 10 for us.

You would really be picking holes to find things not to like.
