My stay was alright. I spent five days, and while there's nothing noteworthy to mention, the housekeeping staff were helpful.

The front desk staff's communication style can be bothersome; their speech resembles that of army officers rather than casual conversation.

Location is amazing, metro is just 3 minutes walking and mall is near and walking distance . Staff was very friendly and helpful .

Whenever i come to Dubai i stay in this hotel , its been almost 7 years i come to this hotel but unfortunately this time the room had small cockroaches!! And daily i used to find cockroaches in the bathroom which made me uncomfortable during my stay and i had to clean sanitize and clean the bathroom myself as it had a lot of dirty spots. And also the ceiling had a lot of dusts. Unfortunately i wasn’t satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and i don’t think i will stay in this hotel again . And they need to work on the check in process as it takes so much time also.

Good food available and very tasty. The lifeguard happy to order us food and drink in the day from the restaurant. Close to main restaurants to go out to eat and we had no issues getting an Uber when wanting to go more in the centre or to the airport hotel. We were on the highest floor 7 and could not hear the rooftop bar or any noise at night.

There were only 3 sunbeds so my partner had to sunbathe on a chair a whole afternoon’s as there were large Russian families with towels on beds and not using them. Check in took about 30 mins as the boy in front of us had an issue with his credit card.

From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was seamless and enjoyable. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive—always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The check-in process was quick and easy, and we were even offered complimentary drinks upon arrival. Our room was spotless, modern, and beautifully designed, with a stunning view that made every morning feel like a vacation in itself. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities (including the high-speed Wi-Fi, plush robes, and quality toiletries) really made a difference. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet—fresh, diverse, and absolutely delicious. The hotel also has an amazing on-site restaurant and a rooftop bar that’s perfect for evening relaxation. The location is ideal—walking distance to great restaurants, shops, Metro and major attractions, but still quiet enough for a peaceful night’s sleep. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this hotel truly delivers a top-tier experience. We will absolutely be back! Room Smell not good

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They did their best to assist with anything I needed and made check-in and check-out smooth.

The noise level was extremely disturbing. Loud music from the club lasted until 4 AM, and even after it ended, you could still hear the voices of people—especially women, leaving the club—echoing through the hallways. Then, around 7 AM, lobby and corridor music starts, and you can hear every conversation happening downstairs. On top of that, there were maintenance noise—banging and repairs going on during the day—which made it impossible to rest properly. I couldn’t sleep at all during my stay.

The location of Howard Johnson is excellent. The room is spacious and suitable for a family of four, even though I only booked it for two people. The location is also top-notch—very close to the metro station, which helped us a lot in getting around and traveling to the places we wanted to visit.

The policy on Booking.com isn’t clear enough. To be honest, I had an issue with the reception, but I figured out that it wasn’t the hotel’s fault—it was a Booking.com issue. When I made the reservation, it clearly stated that children aged 17 and below are considered children, so I brought my sister assuming it would be free. However, when we arrived, we were charged an additional AED 100. I understand this might be the hotel’s policy, but this was the worst experience I’ve had with Booking.com—not with Howard Johnson, just to make that clear.

The breakfast was a choice between popular continental, Indian, Chinese and Arabic dishes. Mr Azhar, the F&B Manager was welcoming and ever smiling. Mr Dinesh the Chef made delicious omelets. The breakfast was a great beginning to our day. Thanks to Mrs Rafseena at the travel desk who helped to plan our unforgettable vacation.

Mr Samarit, (not sure of spelling), who was the executive at the customer service desk was quite unsmiling and curt. All other staff were very cheerful and smiling to help. As we were a senior citizen couple (aged 74), we felt the interaction unpleasant.

This hotel was in a great location for shopping ,restaurants and transportation. The gym was very nice and clean, I would choose this hotel only if the pool is working. If not i will go else where. The front desk staff was overwhelmed with customers but just have to stay patient to be called next. I was still able to make them smile and laugh to help reduce their frustration.
