The location of this hotel is incredibly nice and offers close proximity to Auckland Harbour, Maritime museum, train station, boat cruise, restaurants and shops. The harbour views from my room at level 8 was blissful and memorable. The receptionists were very good and would go out of their ways to help. The people in the restaurant were amazing.

It appeared the hotel is a bit short of cleaning staff or the cleaning staff were not proactive. Throughout my 7 days stay at the hotel, they never came to clean the room except when told the receptionist to tell them to clean it. It was also weird that the fridge in the rom was never refilled throughout my stay, even after informing one of the staff about it.

I loved how hard the staff work as a team to deliver service. The location was perfect with a rail station and the harbour just outside the door. Next door is a well stocked Four Square Supermarket - self service with card only payment but that’s how things are today. High quality rooms with probably the best beds in town. Easy access to local Ferry trips 100metres away. Don’t miss the bakery coffee shop next door for breakfast or morning tea.

My room was a little tight for space but the bathroom and bed comfort were very good. Water pressure from the shower excellent.

The team at the front desk were exceptional. The room exceeded our expectations, large, clean, very comfortable with absolutely amazing views of the Harbour. Although I did ask for housekeeping to come and wipe down the marble table in the TV room, as it looked like it had not been cleaned, however, it was actually stained. Chocolate hour from 3 - 4pm in Boda was a lovely touch, a relaxing space, with comfy chairs and beautiful views across the Viaduct and Harbour. Cocktails were very tasty.

We had breakfast at Boda which was somewhat disappointing for the price $42, substandard for Movenpick. Although the view made up for it. We waited over 10 minutes for our poached eggs (it wasn't busy at the time), the coffee came from a coffee machine, as opposed to a barista, we felt that the choices were limited for the price charged.

So close to everything. Had a concert at Spark Arena so was perfect walking distance to the venue and back. Right by Britomart so perfect if travelling throughout Auckland, and right in the CBD so everything is within walking distance for shopping. Rooms were comfortable, and surprisingly pretty quiet from how close to the street it is. Chocolate hour is an added bonus. Staff were so friendly. Would stay again.

No heads up that there’s a $50 bond per night when booking which took me back a bit, considering I hadn’t expected to be $100 down. A fan/vent in the bathroom would help with the steam from the shower.

Good location and room was very clean.

Stayed 2 nights, one being Saturday. Had a room facing the sea and even though we were on the 12th floor you could hear people still partying in the square below until 4am. Better to have a city view room if staying on a Saturday night. Also, we were one of quite a few people whose room was not ready, and had to wait 1 hour, despite us turning up at 4pm. However, apparently this was due to shortage of staff/people sick, so not entirely the hotels fault. We were compensated with a free drink and access to the chocolate buffet as well.

5 stars all round!! I was blown away at the exceptional service from the staff, they were all so friendly and very professional. Better than any hotel I have stayed at in NZ and definitely the best in Auckland, comparing to S/o and other tops hotels, Mövenpick is now my favourite. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything, especially as we were there for Disney on Ice at Spark Arena. It's in the heart of Queen St & Britomart area, so you're spoilt for choice with eating out, including the 4 square supermarket just a few doors down for supplies. Easy access to all of the shopping and events on. The hotel made it really special for us with gifting my daughter a really cute and generous Disney On Ice gift pack. The hotel rooms are stunning, with very comfy beds and linen. Impeccably clean, quiet, with a nice view and spacious. Nice quality toiletries, amenities and good coffee. The decor is really pretty and the restaurant up on the top floor has amazing views and yummy food. I was really impressed with my stay and will be back for sure. Thank you!

We flew into Auckland airport and took a shuttle to the hotel. It is located right across from the train station and by the large plaza that leads towards the ferries and harbour. Location is excellent. Lots of little coffee shops nearby as well as a grocery store. There is a drug store one block away. About 5-10 minutes walk to the Maritime museum and tons of restaurants around the marina there. Very buzzy area. We had a room with a view of the plaza, train station and ferry docks. We made use of laundry facilities. When travelling for a month or longer, it is a challenge to find a hotel where one can wash and dry clothes! The front desk staff were very helpful. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but chose to try other eateries in the area.

The only negative is that because we wanted a view of the harbour ( which was lovely) , it came with the negative of street noise at night. The plaza was full of people, music etc. so it was quite noisy in our room, even though we were many floors up.

The checkin was seamless and the front desk team were lovely. Explaining benefits of the hotel and chocolate hour. The location is unbeatable and I truly enjoyed my one night stay here. Comfy bed and great pressure in the shower. Good view of the harbour and I didn't hear much noise although I did not stay on a weekend.

The room was a little small but very clean. I hate all manner of lights on TVS and the Aircon panel however so I had to use tape to dim these. As a word of warning if you are light sensitive like I am.

The hotel is a stylish hotel with a boutique atmosphere. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The restaurant is superb with great top floor views and our junior suite was secure, quiet and spacious with a large comfy bed. The hotel is close walking distance to Queen St shopping, harbour restaurants and ferries and the Auckland Explorer bus stop number 1 is opposite the hotel. The hotel has a gym and a street front coffee shop and bar. I highly recommend this hotel.

The selection of red wine in the restaurant was mundane and didn't even have a decent Shiraz.

Great location, near the ferry and other central Auckland sites and restaurants. Had a nice harbor view (which we reserved). Check in was efficient, however I had to remind the staff of our included breakfast and inquire about when and where it was located. Room was comfortable, with everything we needed. Coffee facilities in the room are always a big plus ! Daily housekeeping did a nice job of keeping things tidy and clean during our stay.

Found the staff to be somewhat indifferent to their guests. We were never greeted by the front desk when we came or went through the lobby nor asked our satisfaction upon check out. Room temp was has hard to manage to get comfortable.
