The location of this hotel is incredibly nice and offers close proximity to Auckland Harbour, Maritime museum, train station, boat cruise, restaurants and shops. The harbour views from my room at level 8 was blissful and memorable. The receptionists were very good and would go out of their ways to help. The people in the restaurant were amazing.

It appeared the hotel is a bit short of cleaning staff or the cleaning staff were not proactive. Throughout my 7 days stay at the hotel, they never came to clean the room except when told the receptionist to tell them to clean it. It was also weird that the fridge in the rom was never refilled throughout my stay, even after informing one of the staff about it.

This hotel is amazing!!! The staff are exceptionally great and extremely accommodating. Location perfect 👌 Views of the harbor and straight opposite queen st. The room was comfortable and had everything you could want. Bed was the best bed i have slept in! This hotel is my number 1. By far, I can not vault a single thing. The restaurant BODA located on the top floor was delicious. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, especially the wagyu steak. Wow! Will be coming back here always!!

I loved how hard the staff work as a team to deliver service. The location was perfect with a rail station and the harbour just outside the door. Next door is a well stocked Four Square Supermarket - self service with card only payment but that’s how things are today. High quality rooms with probably the best beds in town. Easy access to local Ferry trips 100metres away. Don’t miss the bakery coffee shop next door for breakfast or morning tea.

My room was a little tight for space but the bathroom and bed comfort were very good. Water pressure from the shower excellent.

The team at the front desk were exceptional. The room exceeded our expectations, large, clean, very comfortable with absolutely amazing views of the Harbour. Although I did ask for housekeeping to come and wipe down the marble table in the TV room, as it looked like it had not been cleaned, however, it was actually stained. Chocolate hour from 3 - 4pm in Boda was a lovely touch, a relaxing space, with comfy chairs and beautiful views across the Viaduct and Harbour. Cocktails were very tasty.

We had breakfast at Boda which was somewhat disappointing for the price $42, substandard for Movenpick. Although the view made up for it. We waited over 10 minutes for our poached eggs (it wasn't busy at the time), the coffee came from a coffee machine, as opposed to a barista, we felt that the choices were limited for the price charged.

Near to commercial bay shops and Just Bread cafe and other eateries, close to venues ie viaduct. Nice decor and super comfy beds. Staff so very helpful and friendly. We arrived early and expected to put our baggage in storage until check in was allowed and the receptionist very kindly allowed us a room well before time - we were so grateful especially as we’d left home at 4.30 am to travel up to Auckland

Just a wee thing but noticeable at night - the nightclub directly below. Take earplugs if facing towards the harbour

So close to everything. Had a concert at Spark Arena so was perfect walking distance to the venue and back. Right by Britomart so perfect if travelling throughout Auckland, and right in the CBD so everything is within walking distance for shopping. Rooms were comfortable, and surprisingly pretty quiet from how close to the street it is. Chocolate hour is an added bonus. Staff were so friendly. Would stay again.

No heads up that there’s a $50 bond per night when booking which took me back a bit, considering I hadn’t expected to be $100 down. A fan/vent in the bathroom would help with the steam from the shower.

Good location and room was very clean.

Stayed 2 nights, one being Saturday. Had a room facing the sea and even though we were on the 12th floor you could hear people still partying in the square below until 4am. Better to have a city view room if staying on a Saturday night. Also, we were one of quite a few people whose room was not ready, and had to wait 1 hour, despite us turning up at 4pm. However, apparently this was due to shortage of staff/people sick, so not entirely the hotels fault. We were compensated with a free drink and access to the chocolate buffet as well.

Location was perfect,lovely rooms and great staff.

My jacket was supposed to be put in my bag left behind the counter by staff but it wasn’t and was left behind when we collects our bags. I realised back in Wellington and rang to see if it was there. It was couriered down to me but I was disappointed to see it was put on my credit card when it was a staff mistake. These things are noticed.

5 stars all round!! I was blown away at the exceptional service from the staff, they were all so friendly and very professional. Better than any hotel I have stayed at in NZ and definitely the best in Auckland, comparing to S/o and other tops hotels, Mövenpick is now my favourite. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything, especially as we were there for Disney on Ice at Spark Arena. It's in the heart of Queen St & Britomart area, so you're spoilt for choice with eating out, including the 4 square supermarket just a few doors down for supplies. Easy access to all of the shopping and events on. The hotel made it really special for us with gifting my daughter a really cute and generous Disney On Ice gift pack. The hotel rooms are stunning, with very comfy beds and linen. Impeccably clean, quiet, with a nice view and spacious. Nice quality toiletries, amenities and good coffee. The decor is really pretty and the restaurant up on the top floor has amazing views and yummy food. I was really impressed with my stay and will be back for sure. Thank you!

The checkin was seamless and the front desk team were lovely. Explaining benefits of the hotel and chocolate hour. The location is unbeatable and I truly enjoyed my one night stay here. Comfy bed and great pressure in the shower. Good view of the harbour and I didn't hear much noise although I did not stay on a weekend.

The room was a little small but very clean. I hate all manner of lights on TVS and the Aircon panel however so I had to use tape to dim these. As a word of warning if you are light sensitive like I am.
