Absolutely loved my stay at SO/ Auckland! Everything about this hotel is pure luxury – from the stunning room to the beautiful facilities. I truly enjoyed the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi – all immaculate and so relaxing. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and every detail feels high-end. The staff are exceptional – warm, professional, and always ready to help. A special shoutout to Claudia, who kindly refilled my water bottle every day before my activities – such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot! And thank you as well to Vinish for the great service and kind energy throughout my stay. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The bedroom was cosy, deep bath tub/shower area behind bed head was unique and stylish. Movie selection was such a good extra as most hotel tv channels are just plain NZ tv. The facilities were great and down in a nice private area with the pool lights on a permanent dim lighting.

The restaurant options menu was minimal with only restaurant options not every day meals/snacks or desserts ie burgers, fish n chips & and the main meals did not include common additions like potatoes or chips; you had to order and pay additional for them & the water option was directed to us by our waiter as “ tap water or a spritz?”

The room I stayed in was absolutely lovely and the staff were as excited as I was that I was staying with them. Big shout-out to Ike and Mele at reception and the staff at the bar on the evening of Apr 18 for being lovely (including the person that served my drinks for most of the time at the bar, he was a darling - I regret not paying a larger tip on my drink but hopefully this suffices :) !). I had both mocktail drinks available at the time and would highly recommend the Spritz one. The spa services were excellent as someone who is normally weary of these types of services - the person who helped me at the spa was very professional. The view was also lovely :)

The only very minor things I would advise against is the shampoo/conditioner/body wash specifically at the bath tub (the shower ones were fine) because they smelled a little strange. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay and I will definitely visit again.

The location was perfect. Staff were lovely. Facilities were great, really good gym/ spa/sauna/pool area. Cleanliness was exceptional and most comfortable bed and pillows we've slept on in a while. Roof top bar was nice, and staff were very accomdating. They had 3 guests who were being quite rude and they handled it so calmly. Views from the rooftop and breakfast were really nice. Breakfast was ok. I love a buffet so was looking forward to it. Great omlettes cooked fresh for you. but the other hot food like eggs bacon and sausages were average. Selection of pastrys and breads were great and fresh fruit. 11am check out was ideal too. We will definitely be back to stay when we return to Auckland.

The lighting in the bathroom wasn't very bright for makeup. We had a staff member walk in on us in the morning and not long after we checked in. Which had it been 5 minutes earlier, it could have been quite awkward 😅 but we would stay again so dislikes aren't a major..

I was our first time at a 5 star hotel so we don't have much to compare it to but we had a great time at so/Auckland. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room they gave smelled like bleach as it was very recently cleaned and my wife really didn't like that so they immediately found us another room that was to our liking. They were also very accommodating and generous when we asked for a room with a double bed after we booked twin beds by mistake. There was no hesitation and no issues, great service! The room had a bath and a shower even though it wasn't very large. that was really nice I really enjoyed using the Gym, sauna, pool and hot tub. I had it practically to myself which was cool. It was a much earned vacation for my wife and I without the kids, first time in 8 years! So we were so grateful for everything the hotel offered, mostly not being with the kids for 2 nights LOL :) Location is excellent! we walked to the harbour, to our restaurant, to the cocktail bar. Very convenient

I would have wanted a slightly nicer speaker to play some music from my phone. They had some old rickety thing that sounded pretty awful. Though I can imagine they don't want people blasting loud music in their hotel rooms, I just like listening to Jazz at a reasonable volume while chilling with a glass of wine :)

Had the absolute best time, staff were so accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure me and my friend had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy, the bath was beautiful. Sauna, pool and spa were excellent as was the rooftop bar. The ground floor is stunning and luxurious. Carolina from the front desk organised a welcome card and treats for our arrival and was wonderful to work with. We will be back!

Found the lifts to be a bit confusing and one wasn’t working as one point in the evening but that’s really the only thing to comment on.

Loved the interior decor in the hotel, including the room. Comfy bed and pillows. Luxurious bathroom. Loved HI SO rooftop bar with DJ. Friendly and informative staff.

Unfortunately, for some reason we couldn't access the Harbour Society restaurant menu from the link to their website from the room tv and no one answered the phone from the direct extn number at the restaurant. I was expecting to wear ear plugs knowing we were on a busy cbd street, but the external sliding door didn't shut properly, leaving a clear gap to outside, it would have been much quieter.

Room was amazing, along with the tub and shower. It was quiet as well and we found it very easy to rest and relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was absolutely divine! We would come back again just for that buffet breakfast!

At least for our room, the toilet did not have a whole lot of privacy with the sliding door not fully closing, but it really wasn't that much of an issue.

The staff service. The valties were exciotionsl, warm friendly. Nothing a problem. Hards car waiting for debarture. The view was stunning, very comfortable bed. Nice having complementary water juice and , loved the chocolate welcome plate.

If you wanted light switches off I. Bedroom you couldn’t. They were connected to lounge. Toilet door didn’t stay closed. Portable hand shower and shower head leaked between head and pipe. The club times were explained but not the you need a seperate key. David thought it was his room key and had a few issues getting around the lifts to correct floors. Otherwise lift set out was great. Breakfast had wonderful views to enjoy.

Cool funky artistic hotel. Great views from the rooftop bar where we watched the sunset with some nice drinks and ceviche. Relaxing basement pool and spa. Comfortable room and complementary nonalcoholic minibar which was nice. Delicious dinner and best hotel breakfast I’ve had in recent years I particularly enjoyed the fresh orange juice machine.

Shower pressure was lacking and our 4th floor room was noisy due to the boy racers on Saturday night. I booked a playful room and expected to be on a higher floor. For a hotel this new in this location I expected it to have better sound proofing from the city noises.
