The room was clean and spacious. Had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable

I didn't like that there was a washer and dryer which took coins but you could not get coins to run them from reception. I ended up having to go to Woolworths to buy something so I could get some change to use them so ended spending more than I wanted. Also was nearly impossible to communicate with the staff because of the language barrier which was frustrating when I needed something.

For people confused which motel to book, come here. Pupuke Manor provides the best accommodation for the Takapuna / Milford area. We often come to NZ and book motels / hotels for accommodation. I know only too well the difficulty in finding a motel which ticks all *our* boxes. Here are some of the things I love about this place: The people who run the motel are super-friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is great. The motel is a stone’s throw away from Countdown, which is a large supermarket with a bakery, café (with great coffee), and all the other things you’d expect from a modern supermarket. The location is absolutely ideal for people wanting to explore the exotic shops in Takapuna, Milford, and many other smaller suburbs. Free offroad parking. Seconds away from the motorway heading both North and South. Free Netflix, YouTube and other channels. We ended up staying 3 nights, and wished we could have stayed longer. Despite all the above, the price is amongst the lowest around. We have stayed at cheaper places in the same area, and always regretted doing so. We don’t expect the Ritz, but basic things are often lacking, such as a kitchenette with a hotplate, one toilet roll, dirty floors under the cupboards and bed, and more. The photos make them look better than they really are. This is my honest review. I don’t leave many, but felt compelled to help fellow travellers find this gem.

I didn't like having to leave after just 3 days. We would have stayed much longer if we could. For us, the motel was perfect.

Friendly staff & prompt communication. Great price. Bed was beautifully made up & everything super comfy! Efficient and quiet heat pump & large TV. Right over the road from a Woolworths so easy to get food & other supplies.

Shower was a bit annoying trying to get the right temperature. And there was only one teaspoon. But these things were able to be worked around. Had a neighbour who came back to their unit at 3am each morning with a very noisy car muffler!

The unit was great. Very clean,spacious, and cozy with a heat pump. Good quality furnishings that were appealing. Great location opposite a supermarket and really close to all the shops and restaurants of Takapuna. Close to motorway off ramps for easy access to Auckland CBD and the North Shore. Parking available. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The bed was a bit soft but just a personal preference and wouldn't stop me booking again.

The ladies were so nice and accommodating, I was a late last minute booking and they were very welcoming and efficient.

The bathroom, was very wet and damp. I can't remember if the shower made the mess and splashed water everywhere or just the moisture during the showers taken just made the entire room, floors walls toilet windows dripping with water. Nice water pressure. But other then that, everything was cool as, beautiful beds, had the best sleep!

Location was great, close to motorway for both north and south travel.

Some of the children were playing around the parked cars with balls and running up on to the decks of other guests. There was some noise coming from the units near mine, sometimes early in the morning or late at night. Car park makings and numbers need to be repainted so people can clearly see where they are to park.

The place is really good. Very convenient location and quiet. It is very light, fresh and clean. It’s simple but everything you need. You can park in front of your room. For me it was super comfortable and everything in good conditions. Also the staff was super kind and attentive and helped us to check in early too. Very nice stay and super recommendable!!

Opposite Woolworths so great for picking up groceries. Handy to takeaways and dining areas.

Went out for the day and room wasn’t made up when we returned that evening. We made the bed and luckily the office was still open so we could change towels and empty rubbish. No biggy, just hōhā (nuisance).

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, huge screen TV, hot shower, and good bedside lighting. I loved that there was a supermarket across the road that I could walk to, to get food for dinner.

Exterior lighting, the room. I was in had no exterior light. I heard a noise after dark but could not see outside to my vehicle (it was perfectly okay).

Love that there was space between our rooms, had what you would need

Our toaster wasn't working. If we had a dishcloth and dishcloth rack, it would be good.
