Great position in the city. Walking distance to many things

I called ahead and asked about car-parking, was told it was available. When we arrived there was nothing available. It was first in first served. All parks were taken. We were told to try parking at a car park facility across the road. Thankfully it was close, I think the hotel should have an arrangement with this car parking facility to reduce stress on its customers.

Location is great within walking distance of town. View from the top floor is lovely. Staff are nice and helpful and the decor in rooms and foyer are beautiful. Tv speaker in the bathroom is a cool touch, lots of cute and useful amenities.

There was an old egg sandwich tucked behind the curtain. Our heat pump would not heat we turned it to 24 as it was freezing and it only reached 21 by the next morning even after calling reception we gave up and went to sleep. The cell signal not great. Also we were the there to celebrate an anniversary, lovely of them to leave us a card but it did say 25th anniversary and we are only 30 so not quite right but gave us a laugh. Shower temp goes up and down as well.

First time in CHCH from AKL :P Friendly and on to it staff. Welcoming and clean. The girl who checked us in had lovely manners and showed us places on the map to check out. I would say it’s a high standard hotel. At first, we entered our room and got jump scared by the see-through shower wall that was right next to the bed lol. Tbh we didn’t know how to put the screen down to add bathroom privacy, so we asked the cleaner guy to help us. He was helpful and attentive 👍 Area is good.. in walking distance to convenient shops, food places, markets and the library. We ordered dinner room service; food was decent , pizzas were yum and delivery was on time and fast. We checked out happily and they kept our bags safe until it was time for our flight. Thanks :D

Nothing much, we stayed for the night .. OH maybe when at night and you come off the elevator to go into the hallway to your room… the lights are sensored so when the elevator opens to your floor it’s pitch black … scared me lol… but when you step outside the light turns on. Still .. bit scary innit.

Very handy position in CBD; the lobby lighting/decoration warmed us up on our wet arrival; Beds are very comfy and the room size is perfect for family (2 adults+2 school kids); The price including buffet (breaky) is super worthy for money, we love this one night stay:)

The only 'dislike' might be the room allocated to us has no views at all, it was a concrete terrace outside of the window and there are another few rooms' windows facing the same terrace, we have to completely pull down the shade to keep our privacy. But I recon this is just because we only stay one night, and we did have to check out the next morning to take the flight.

I stayed on the 12th floor and from the window seat in my room, there were lovely views over the town and out towards the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the room well cleaned daily. Staff, including those at reception, room service delivery staff and even the house keeping staff I happened to chat with in the lift, were both friendly and helpful. I had room service on a few occasions when getting in late from long day tours. The selection of meals available was sound and the quality of the food provided and the time taken to deliver meals was excellent. The hotel is very well located. It is easy to walk all around town from this location.

Location was just a short walk to all the parks, historical sites and bars/cafes/restaurants. Room was delight with large comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom with great shower. We had an 11th story room with a balcony and view over Victoria park which was great addition. We had breakfast included in our deal and it was very good indeed, while the reception area was very attractive and the staff were very helpful (we asked if a late checkout was available and it was no trouble for this to be arranged for the extra hour requested)

Lovely room. Spotless, well stocked from comfortable pillows, and a list of alternative sorts of pillows, to wardrobe with dressing gowns, slipper and iron. Teas, coffee etc and nice choice of bathroom essentials. Location in town made it easy to walk anywhere. For those that need it, there's a private carpark

Door key operated elevator meant I could only travel between my floor and reception, but my family were on a different floor. If I wanted to pass something to them, we needed to meet in reception. Just a bit of a pain

Coeliac Disease - Room service happily catered to my needs (being someone with Coeliac Disease). We ordered a toasty and cooked chips at 2am, after a night out and requested it was all cooked separately. The food was delicious (highly, highly recommend the fries). I didn't experience any flare-up. Staff were absolutely fantastic, very helpful and upbeat. The room was beautiful and made our trip feel extra special. Great sunset view from our room on the 6th floor. The blinds blocked out the light nicely, so we were able to get a sleep-in in the morning. Loved the later than usual checkout (11am). We parked in the hotel parking and would say it was worth the money. Staff were also happy for us to leave our car there for the day (after check out), while we finished our day in the city. Also, we both loved the fragrance in the lobby. I must ask the staff what the fragrance is, next time. Definitely will be visiting again.

The bed was definitely good enough, but we would have liked it to be more comfortable. I did notice a couple of spots in the shower that might need some extra cleaning.

Helpful staff, excellent breakfast room service (this was important to us).

We were travelling between stays and there is a lot on inconsistency between rooms. On our second stay, we "upgraded" to a King room and ended up with a much smaller room with less in-room facilities. The staff tried hard to remedy this but due to full occupancy we still ended up paying more for a room that was inferior to the first one. We were not told that there was a $30 per night charge for car parking!

Fantastic views and a balcony to step out on. We were pushed up to the Executive floor (top floor). Thank you for boosting our stay! Very clean and tidy room. Gorgeous bathroom. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals we had during our stay were fabulous. Close by car parking.

Not much. It would've been nice to be able to walk through the Hotel from the carpark entrance.
