Absolutely gorgeous 2bed apartment. Beds super comfy and large. Lounge had enough chairs for everyone and comfortable. Wifi good. Kitchen so well equipped, not that we used it. Washing machine & dryer was handy. Bathroom had good size shower and great pressure. Balcony ran full length of unit with sliding doors from boh bedrooms and lounge. Handy mini mart 2min walk and fantastic coffee shop next to that. Also Quake City worth a visit is opposite coffee shop. Location was great, quite but walking distance to main city area. Would definitely recommend.

The location was just perfect: central but quiet during the night and in walking distance to all the lovely Christchurch summer events: Chinese New Year celebration, Sparks Festival in North Hagley Park, Summer Sundays in the Botanical Garden, the markets near the Arts Centre. We had asked for an apartment with a view and were lucky to be on the top floor - thank you, Jackson! The kitchen was well equipped (microwave, dishwasher), the shower great (high water pressure and removable shower head), comfortable beds and sofa. And it's very convenient to have a parking spot included, as we rarely used our car. The A/C was running when we came, but when we turned it off, the room climate was even better just by opening the balcony door.

tiny suggestion: there was just one bag of powder for the dishwasher, some more would be great (we stayed 4 days), on the weekend there was no one to ask for it.

Warm, sunny apartment on the top floor overlooking the park and out to the mountains - wonderful sunsets! Fairly quiet, despite having only single glazing. A fabulous location in town, away from the construction going on elsewhere, and walkable to all the central city has to offer. Great to have convenient, secure parking too.

While the apartment was fine and had almost everything we needed, it was bland and missing a few touches (such as cooking oil, extra blankets - things normally provided). We have stayed in a lot of apartments and townhouses in the city this year, and there are many doing it better. Disappointing to see so many little single use packets - dishwash, shower gel, salt etc. Cups weren't clean and required washing before use, possibly because of the limited supply of products provided, as other reviewers have mentioned.

Great location, a short walk from the eateries along the river and shopping districts. Free parking also a big plus. Bed was comfortable, and kitchen was well appointed. Full laundry in the unit as well. Room was clean and building facilities were good. Would be great for a longer-term stay for a solo person on a work trip.

Room was too small for 2 people. You can be there, but you will be constantly tripping over each other. Only 1 bedside table too for example. Not really enough space to spend any length of time there comfortably. Bathroom is also very small, again, it works fine for one person but it's a bit tough for 2.

The place is a studio with everything that is needed, including a washing machine and a dryer. It is very close to the center of town in Christchurch, and is a walking distance from the city, as well as the botanical gardens. The Parking is very close to the room, and the reception had many maps and brochures with many things to do arround.

The room was very small (we took the cheapest one), and was a bit small for a couple. It was difficult to open our suitcases in the room. It would have been very convenient for a single, and as a couple I would advise to take a bigger studio

Another great apartment in a close location being only several blocks and a 10min walk to the main shopping and eating areas. The local tourist tram goes straight past the front door. Even though they do not have 24/7 reception the keys were in the lock box where they said and we had the code before we arrived and didn't have to chase anything up.

This is not a place for families especially with young children. The complex is a mix of short term and permanent residents and there are signs requesting noise to be kept down everywhere. It would have been stressful if you had young children who made noise like normal children do.

Jackson in reception was very helpful. We stayed 3 nights in Christchurch initially and then returned 2 weeks later for another 3 nights stay before returning to Queensland. The first room we stayed in was quite small and no air-con and asked if maybe for our next stay we might be in an air-con room. This wasn't a problem and we were accommodated with a cool room. The location is great being right in the city with the tram passing along the street in front which makes it easy to access. It was super central to everything.

The location was excellent, a few minutes walking to the city centre. The kitchen was very well equipped. The room was well equipped. It was quiet.

2 sachets of dishwashing liquid, and one sachet of dishwasher powder, were not sufficient for a four night stay. If you want guests to wash the dishes, give them the means of doing so.

It was clean, spacious and in a good location for walking into Christchurch centre. There were no reception staff at weekend, however we were given clear instructions how to access the building and car park. The view was not good - overlooking the staircase to the car park!! Although the hotel was quiet and stipulated on our welcome back that noise should be kept to a minimum after 11pm and strictly no parties, there was a lot of loud music and talking from the apartment next door at 2am until about 4am

There was no respect from the neighbours

These apartments are very well maintained and run. The rooms are beautifully clean with breathable air. The shower is to die for in tasteful modern setting and up to date washer and dryer hidden in the cupboard, ones that you can use without dogs howling and noise control turning up! Staff are lovely and have a passion to present and keep their place in a way they can be proud of to then offer you. Location is great so close to everything in the city but just enough on a quieter street that you can walk out of the building without a whirlwind of cars and noise engulfing you. There is secure parking at this hotel that is easy to drive in to and access your room internally. The rooms have a visual intercom system that sits on the wall of the apartment where you can decide if someone is worthy enough to come and see you or if you are busy 'sleeping.' The kitchens are well planned out and modern and have all the kitchen ware you need for cooking meals. I stay in many hotels as I travel every week and I really rate West Fitzroy as being top of its class in christchurch.

The only thing I didn't like was the fan heating system attached to the wall. I personally find fan heaters inefficient, and drying. I kept a couple glasses of water around in the room so the fan heat could take water from there instead of from my skin and that was ok and it was actually adequately warm in there.
