Room was comfortable. Only one chair for a double room therefore we did not use room service as there was no where for the second guest to sit

The Shower The room was wheelchair friendly which was not requested. The shower because of only having curtains to provide access for a person less able, allowed the water from the shower to spay under the curtains wetting the floor of the bathroom. Because of this I told reception and they provided 2 non slip rubber mats My issue is health and safety and the higher risk of a person slipping and being injured because of the wet floor. Shower head had to be angled towards the back wall and it still wet the floor outside the shower area

Check-in was quick and hassle-free, setting a positive tone for our stay. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped—overall very comfortable. Complimentary Wi-Fi was available, and breakfast offered a wide variety of options. Although it was quite busy on arrival, the staff managed the crowd efficiently by promptly clearing tables to accommodate everyone. Room service was fantastic—the rib-eye steak was perfectly cooked and easily one of the best meals we had in New Zealand.

- Our towels smelt 'off', very odd and couldn't put our finger on the smell - While we couldn't hear the traffic outside the room, we could hear the people above us walking around very clearly and was disruptive to sleep

We liked the premises, location & all of the staff were welcoming & accommodating to our needs & wants. My five year old daughter really liked the beds. It was a very comfortable & enjoyable stay; so much so, we didn't want to leave. The buffet breakfast had an extensive range of foods available. The restaurant meals were absolutely delicious; compliments to the chef.

It would have been helpful to have a 'welcome pack' that provides you with information about the hotel eg. buffet breakfast times. It would have also been helpful to have a pen & paper in the room, personal item pack with cotton pads, cotton tips, shower cap etc.

The property is in a great location - there’s some shops close by, a tram stop, and it’s easy walking distance to some of the restaurants recommended in Trip Advisor (for families etc). We landed on the day we checked in and were only staying one night before we started our 2 week round trip around the South Island. The family room was just what we needed after a 9 hr flight to recharge, have a hot shower and access to a few good restaurants close by. Parking isn’t free but it’s convenient and was about NZ$20 for the day. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful too.

Nothing of any significance - it’s a great place for a stopover. If I had to really nitpick I would just say the bathroom was a bit chilly - but the hot shower made up for it. And the room itself and the beds were very warm and comfortable.

Great location to city Center and tram station! Parking just around the corner (take the willson parking and spare yourself some money - it is the same one the hotel is using) , we liked the breakfast and the offer as it was overall in NZ always a bit of a downer to find good breakfast choice, but this hotel deserves a good mention on this. Internet Wifi was ok, I was using the high speed internet as I am Accor member ( just subscribe and enjoy )

Still pricey… but it is the hight season I guess…

Staff were friendly and fun, we had a laugh. Good nightlife is nearby. It's been a while since we walked around inner Christchurch. It was nice to find range of international flavours among the restaurants

Overnight covered parking was expensive. The bartender should take a lesson in how to make a margarita.

Fantastic location. Short walk away from the central areas of Christchurch, markets and botanical gardens. Nice clean and comfy rooms with the added bonus of a heated bathroom floor. Staff was very friendly and let us know the nearby highlights for us to explore.

No parking provided by the hotel. You can pay for parking at NZD25 for the night or NZD35 if the parking is full and they need to use a valet for your car. It can be very tricky to drive to the hotel and its designated parking/loading area. Drive slow when near the hotel or you might end up making lengthy detours.

I've stayed here a few times when I can get a good price on here. It is always comfortable and clean. The breakfast is really good....great healthy variety, cooked, pastries etc. I really like that they have a pillow menu. They have all sorts of different types that you can order from house keeping. I've not dine that as I like the ones already on the bed....but that would make a huge difference for some.

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our staff. Breakfast was excellent with good choices and was plentiful. Location of the hotel is convenient to all central Christchurch.

Unfortunately our view was not the best, due to the ongoing demolition and construction of buildings which is still going on it the city from the earthquake several years ago. Not the hotel's fault , but we were not anticipating looking at a demolition site for the during of our stay. The furnishings and carpet in the room are due to for an upgrade.

Coffee mugs in bedroom unwashed from one day to next. Not sure if this is usual, check out is contact free so did not mention it because no one asked how are stay had been . Breakfast not quite as good as Novotel Christchurch Airport - there were more options for fruit and vegetables. May be budget is different?
