The owners were terrific. Always available, accomondating and very friendly. Breakfast was made to order and the breakfast area was very cute with white tablecloths and windows. Super cute place! They allowed us to keep luggage after checkout and before our flight. Would highly recommend this converted, old Victorian style home as a B&B! Location was also terrific! Easy walk to restaurants, parks and shops.

The room was very nice, with a window that opened and a small balcony with doors that opened, two big arm chairs to sit in. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, especially the Eggs Benedict. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Easy walking to the sights of Christchurch and restaurants.

It fronts onto a busy street and there’s a construction project right next door so if you want quiet, ask for a room away from the front of the house and on the east side. The traffic didn’t keep me awake, quieter at night. Shower was a bit weird, had trouble setting it up to shower all of me without detaching it and using it as a hand-held shower. China teacups too small to make an instant coffee half milk so I had tea instead. Flat white in breakfast room was good.

Fabulous location, easy walk along the river into town, 10min stroll. Stored our luggage for the day until check-in time. Be aware you might have an upstairs room and need to carry bags up. Lovely clean and airy room, good space, comfy bed, big bathroom. Good cooked breakfast. Enjoyed our stay!

Such a beautiful, charming home from a bygone era divided into separate units. The hosts were excellent, helpful, so welcoming and informative. My room was on the ground floor, it had lots of olde world charm with the furniture, fittings and a lovely titled quilt, but still modern facilities. The big surprise and bonus was that breakfast, both continental & cooked, was included in my room tariff and in a charming dining room with table service. Food was delicious and home cooked. The Grange is within easy walking distance of the city eateries and the park & gardens surrounding the Avon River.

Lovely historic building, large rooms, great location in city with off street parking, breakfast included, excellent value, very clean, a communal lounge for guest use (we stayed 3 nights in 2 different rooms at beginning and end of trip); we really liked our stays.

Nothing to dislike

Charming house with old-fashioned furniture decorating the rooms. We had an antique suitcase and a hat box on top of a wardrobe in our room and beautiful teacups. Nice breakfast.

You have to carry your suitcase up the stairs, but the steps are OK. A bit of traffic noise if your room faces the street.

Location (very central & on the tram route); staff were all very friendly & helpful; free car parking; comfortable room; lots of quirky old mansion style areas/rooms

The breakfast was a bit limited in scope - would have benefited from more bakery type products

Owners are great people, very helpful and kind and made us feel at home. Location at Christchurch city centre is superb! Can walk anywhere. Near to tram stop too. Breakfast warms the heart.

Need to bring luggage up the stairs. But that's alright.

It was neat, clean, warm and close to town. The included breakfast was amazing - eggs Benedict, scrambled, poached or fried with bacon , toast, tea, cereal, juice, fruit & yoghurt.

Didn’t affect us but for older people be aware you might have room upstairs and have to carry your suitcase.

The location was excellent, a short walk to new regent st, close to a park. And within walking distance from centre of town. The breakfast was very nice ,choice of continental or three hot choices cooked for you .
