The staff, the comfortable bed, the location, the interior fitout, the cleanliness.

Our bedroom was east facing and was unbearably hot in the morning. The heat pump was not able to go any lower than 19degrees so we couldn’t cool the room down and I left the room drenched in sweat with a headache from being so dehydrated in the morning. The hallway was cooler than the room. Also we couldn’t get the TV android casting to work. It seemed like all the smarttv features had been locked, I messaged the front desk for help but was just told to use the android app and we couldn’t get it to work.

We had a large spacious corner room so twin aspect. Really comfy bed, nice ensuite shower room. There's a small fridge in the room. Everything was clean. There's artwork displayed throughout the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Location wise, we were far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but still within easy walking distance of everything. There's also a fabulous bar just along the road in a former church. Unfortunately you have to be early to find a place here as it's so popular. Once the new One New Zealand Stadium opens in 2026, this hotel will in the perfect position. Christchurch is a fabulous city and this was our third visit. The architecture is a superb mix of old and new with a vibrant nightlife and tranquil parks. The city tram tours are well worth taking as you learn so much more about the city from the on-board commentary.

New, clean, very thoughtfully and stylishly designed. My room had a lovely mountain view, super comfortable bed and well equipped. Location is great, staff were super friendly. It was easter and they even left Cadbury chocolates in the room. Cafe downstairs and rooftop bar (neither of which I can comment on as I stayed over a public holiday and they were closed). It’s a lovely hotel and I absolutely stay again.

Only gripe is there is only one lift which can be a little slow at times.

Perfect location. Close to stadium (once finished), shopping and cool bars.

When I was searching for a hotel option I had selected parking as my criteria and booked this hastily. Had I known the parking was paid parking 5 minutes walk away I wouldn’t have booked this option but it was doable for my partner and I and easy nonetheless. If I had a disability or it was raining, I would not recommend this hotel. We did find it easy though and are likely to return ourselves.

Great style, amazing rooftop bar with great food. Very clean. Quiet. Easy street parking free on weekends. Cute little cafe downstairs. Friendly, helpful staff. Bathroom was sizeable compared to the room. Right in the middle of the city with nice views over city and to the hills.

A bit small even for a twin room. Was hard to walk past the bed to get into it let alone enjoy the armchair in the room with a drink before heading out for dinner. Shame that there were no bigger rooms with options for two beds. Would have been good to have a room with two queen or kings instead of having to book two separate rooms as we like to stay together.

The staff were delightful and helpful, the room was perfect and spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy with lovely linen, the tea/coffee set up was beautifully set out on a lovely little tray with nice crockery, the lighting was terrific - not blindingly bright lights, it was 5 minutes walk from the Bus Interchange, a supermarket and the shopping centre. Great little find and would stay here again.

I found this hotel to be great value for money. The rooms have everything you need, the beds are comfy etc! The cafe downstairs has delicious coffee and food 😊

As others have noted, it is a bit noisy! I booked a king room so I had more space which is on level 5 so the rooftop bar does feel a little too close for comfort at times. The WiFi wasn’t great so if you need to work, you may have a hard time. I had to work from the cafe.

The room was really nicely decorated and it was comfortable, it made it feel a lot more expensive than it was. The bar on the top floor was really nice too, just a shame that is closing :( we really enjoyed being able to duck up there for a drink. This was also a test to the “soundproofing” feature of the room, we couldn’t hear a thing and it was really loud up there so this was amazing!

The ONLY thing I didn’t like was paying $17 for parking. Everything else was great, it’s just unfortunate that the closest parking is about a block or two away and costs that much.

I did not eat breakfast, but the bagels with avocado & bacon at Dainty were so good I had them a second time. The view at the Pink Lady was superior. No noise in the room despite facing the street. The view from the room was good. The bathroom was roomy.

I was uncertain about the price being high, but for a very good hotel in the centre of town, I accept this price. The parking was off site; it was close enough, and I had no problems with it.

Beautiful rooms, fantastic location

Both very minor issues. Our room had free breakfast but on monday when we came down, the room was closed for renovations. Wasnt told by anyone on check in or by attendant on sat morning breakfast that it would be closed on monday, check out day. We wouldve booked the cheaper no breakfast room if we'd realised. Also thers was half a bag of chips on floor under the console under the tv, which i found when i dropped a ring which rolled under. And also a wet sock in the bin on arrival in room, which was odd.
