The rooms were comfortable, clean and newly refurbished. The location was central and close to everything we needed. Was easy to find. The spa pool outside in the courtyard was great especially after doing the Tarawera Ultra.

There were no owners/managers on site and the phone numbers did not work when we tried to ring. We were charged more than we were quoted but I could not talk to anyone about this. The access pinpads did not work very well but once we got the key cards it was OK.

The location of the motel was perfect, we brought our hired car and there was an allocated parking space for each of the motel rooms which was ideal. By car we were roughly 3-5 minutes away from Kuirau park and close to Eat Streat and the boardwalk as well. The motel has recently been refurbished so the bathroom is great and spacious, the towel rack is heated and the shower and hot water work perfectly. There were toiletries included: shampoo and soap provided, plenty of towels and a hairdryer available. The kitchenette was well equipped, there was a stovetop, microwave and kettle as well as kitchenware and cleaning supplies available. The living area and first bedroom were very spacious with a dining table, chairs and sofa too. The separate bedroom was heated before we arrived which was ideal as we stayed in winter and was very cosy - the bed was very comfortable. The overall room was very clean and tidy, would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Rotorua.

The hot tub wasn't filled and hadn't been cleaned recently but it was winter so I expect other than us no-one else wanted to use it. There is a private deck outside the room with the hot tub and a set of garden chairs and table so it would be great to enjoy a summer evening out there after exploring Rotorua in the day.

We love the self service concept, there is room service available. No reception at the motel, but they are just a phone call away. Easy code access to your room which expires on entry, your room swipe key is in the room. The place was clean, everything you need was there. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, clean & some toiletries were available for use. The spa was well used. There is a small laundry available, no need for coins, specific numbered carpark. We loved it, thank you for making our holiday awesome. We are definitely booking this motel again.🙂🙂

The pillows were too soft😊

It was great that it’s self check in I was running quite late so I was worried about missing the checking in time. I liked how spacious and clean it was inside, I also liked how the shower head could go up and down coz I’m quite short and sometimes I don’t like to wet my hair so I have it straight on my face, I really liked the private patio I don’t like feeling cooped up inside so it was so great to chill there at night after being out all day.

There was a bit of rubbish in the bin when I arrived but I didn’t really care. Not much parking spaces because I had hired 2 cars so I had to leave 1 at family’s house. No instructions on how to use the key for the room but someone showed me how they noticed I was having trouble using it because I was punching in the numbers I got but the door said it had low battery so I started to try and use the key. Also wished hot tub was a spa.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughters in a family room with spa. The room was really clean & well equiped with all the essentials needed. The spa was amazing my daughters & family that came to visit absolutely loved it & the beds were very comfortable! The self service check in & out is so good & easy. If you did need to speak to a staff, the cleaners were there daily to help with anything otherwise you could ring the office doorbell which is answered pretty quickly.

I didn't like their were no brush & shovel or vacuum in the family rooms. The rooms get messy quite fast with going in & out & eating etc so the floor gets really messy. Be nice to be able to tidy it up a bit after ourselves.

I've stayed at probably 100 motels so just A few tips... 1 Firm pillows or extra pillows as alot of people don't like soft pillows please 2 my 9 year old daughter and myself were both cold as it went down to 4 degrees in Rotorua but there was no extra blankets available 3 no bench space in bathrooms for makeup etc. 4 and facecloth would be great The above would match motels .. but overall great just a few tips and then I'd give 10/10

Very comfortable being newly refurbished. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Unit 10 was well back from the bush street so traffic noise wasn’t an issue. Had everything I needed. Very reasonable tariff.

Doesn’t have much street appeal, but that wasn’t an issue, and is probably what keeps the cost down. I was staying overnight from Taupō because my husband was having surgery at southern cross, so I didn’t need a motel that looks beautiful from the outside, but I did want comfort, with nice bathroom, kitchen etc, and that’s what I got. Would definitely come again.

Easy self check-in and check-out. The PIN system to unlock the door was quite convenient as we didn't have to carry a card. It was quite clean and we all loved the outdoor spa bath. There is a common washing machine, which provided detergent for free, which was quite nice.

There was no tissue box nor clothes rack. There was a door in the bedroom (it could be a closet?) however we couldn't open it. So there was nowhere to hang my clothes. The blanket was too hot.

Very affordable, stayed 3 nights. I felt safe being there on my own. Great location. The unit was well set up, and the heat pump worked well. Furniture in the unit was adequate. I feel it would be lovely in the private courtyard during the summer months.

There was an unusual smell, and it wasn't just Rotorua. I've lived in Rotorua and know what the smell well! I did use a natural essential oil to help.
