The staff was very friendly and they were able to speak English so that we could communicate back and forth. The rooms were absolutely clean and spotless and I stayed there a year ago in 2024. I would highly recommend this location even though it is a ways away from downtown. But if you're able to walk about 4 miles each way you can get there without having to pay a cab. The pool is clean and the breakfast were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend going to this location if you're visiting Faro.

I cannot say anything negative about this location. It is close to grocery stores so you can either go to ALDI or Continente. Both are within walking distance of the hotel along with other amenities such as restaurants. I hope to come back and visit Faro once again in the future and this is where I will stay.

easy to find and comfortable as wsa in stressed condition

parents 92 had slept night before on airport floor and was glad of me booking this room the receptionist was VILE no empathy nothing sat them there for over two hours and was really NOT a credit to the company. People are all expecting a lovely experience and it must start with the reception area, no need to be rude and insolent. would have expected more from a professional - ok the rooms made not be ready but DONT HAVE TO BE RUDE - young girl needs retraining. Mum was very upset, weary dirty tired and worried - receptionist could have been more KIND, smiled> who the hell does she think she is? the rest of the hotel was good.

Very happy with our stay at the Hotel Monaco. A short drive to the lovely old town of Faro and within walking distance to local bars and restaurants. All members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Excellent unlimited continental breakfast served till eleven and convenient checkout of midday. Parking outside the hotel. Bar and restaurant available from half three till half eleven. Swimming pool and garden area a big plus. Very handy for the airport.

If you are planning a quiet day, there are no lunch options at the hotel.

When I had a complaint about the room (bad smell) they moved me to a new room right away, no questions asked. Superb service. I felt safe and cared for. Sweet ladies at the breakfast space happy to help.

It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere but close to the airport (which is why I booked it, so it’s also a plus). So no nearby restaurants or shops and in the restaurant in the hotel hey didn’t offer gluten free options, so I had to order an uber eat, which was not so bad in the end.

Nice hotel in quiet area with lots of parking outside. Close to airport. Outdoor swimming pool - overall a nice relaxed vibe and nice staff. 10mins to Faro center and to beach by shuttle bus or taxi Would recommend

Stayed at at this hotel before my flight home every year for the last 15 years, great hotel everything you need, breakfast included, nice pool. friendly staff, bar and bar meals, airport shuttle, very clean what more do you need.

This was always a cheap and cheerful hotel but over the last 15 years the price has increased to the same level as a 5 star hotel, it's a really nice clean hotel but it's no where near 5 star. I'll be back again next year and reluctantly pay the price because it's convenient.

I was thoroughly impressed for the value of the hotel for the price, while I wouldn’t describe the hotel as the epitome of luxury, I felt comfortable and safe on my solo trip. The city centre and beach were easily accessible by local buses or the hotel shuttle and the absolute highlight of my experience was the hotel personnel! The staff at the desks and throughout the building were so friendly and accommodating! I cannot express how much of a positive difference it made to my stay! I conversed with everyone, and was advised very well- but that’s just me being extremely chatty, they do not necessitate an unnatural amount of dialogue. I was helped from the minute I arrived and I cannot thank them enough, I had a map printed out, for me, with local restaurants in walking distance and my stay was made easier whenever possible. I was upgraded and that was definitely a pleasant surprise. I wanted a local feel for my trip without cutting corners with living standards and I was very happy. The room and bathroom were a decent size, very clean and the balcony was nice for evening calls. I made use of all amenities and I cannot complain, I had the full experience offered and left a happy customer. I had no expectations, as it was a last minute trip but I would stay at Hotel Monaco again. The professionalism and care is note worthy, thank you! It was nice and quiet during the night so I had a good sleep. Food was great-Kobe’s all the fresh fruits and vegetables!! Everything was clean and it was sort of centrally located. It had a nice bar and all the staff were super friendly even the shuttle bus driver!

There wasn’t much within walking distance. (Except what looked like a busy bakery!) The coffee was terrible-I tried all the options. The landscaping around the pool needed some help-grass was long.

Very convenient for the airport in a quiet neighbourhood with the chance to have a pleasant morning walk.

You can't arrange their airport shuttle in advance but it's only a short taxi ride which we took rather than the hassle of phoning and waiting for the hotel shuttle (if available). Being out-of-season, only the bar was functioning not the restaurant but they provided a good house wine and quite reasonable food.

The hotel staff were excellent in all respects, from the very friendly, helpful, efficient team on reception, the shuttle bus drivers, breakfast and bar staff and the cleaners. Although the hotel is located about halfway between the airport/beach and central Faro, the daily shuttle bus and other transport links made the location work.

The outdoor pool temperature was recorded as 25° each day, but it didn't feel like that. The local area doesn't have much by way of good eateries (Frangaria being the exception), so whilst the hotel has an acceptable snack menu, if you want more meal options you need to go further afield and look at transport options.
