Fabulous room and balcony with views. I had an early flight, so I didn’t get chance to use the pool or Jacuzzi or sample the breakfast. I walked with my hand luggage from the airport around 23hrs. I think it took me about 12 minutes, which was no problem at all and it was mostly well lit. The room was huge and very clean. The bed was great and extremely comfortable.

I couldn’t find a door bell to alert reception to my arrival and I had to telephone from the front door. Better signage and/or a bell would help. I would also have appreciated more than two coffee pods. But these are both minor points. This really is a fab hotel and I’d definitely stay again.

My room was massive and the balcony had a hot tub and was also very spacious. The views were beautiful. I traveled alone and felt so safe. The reception manager Joào is an absolute treasure and credit to the hotel. He made me feel so welcome and was very attentive to everyone’s needs. I found out while staying there the hotel had only opened in July ! You would of never known as everything was so professional. The lady who cooks the breakfasts, makes the best cakes, as well a delicious cooked breakfast. There is also food served all day , the pizza was delicious, had it twice. The swimming pool area is beautiful too. I definitely will return and recommend to all my friends.

I liked absolutely everything about the property

We loved the stay, only two nights but perfect. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures, well maintained. The staff super kind, efficient ... The only advice is that is needed to have a car once the hotel is about fee kms from Fato, but it is easy access to the roads what facilitates as well.

We thought we were not near shops or cafes but later realised we were just a few minutes walk away. maybe staff could give directions when you arrive?

We had to shorten our stay due to the unexpected passing of my father, and the hotel showed incredible empathy and professionalism by refunding the unused nights without hesitation. Their kindness and ethical approach truly touched us and made. The hotel itself is fantastic—very close to the airport, which is super convenient. The staff are friendly, respectful, and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the swimming pool is a lovely place to relax. Everything was well-maintained and welcoming. This hotel doesn’t just offer a great stay—it offers genuine care. Highly recommended.

Hotel was comfortable and consistent with expectations. Very convenient to the Faro airport for an early departure. The hotel arranged for an early transfer to the airport.

It would be nice if the outdoor spaces were nonsmoking, but that’s not common anywhere in Europe.

The guest house is very close to the airport which was perfect for us as our flight was at 6 in the morning and we got a Uber for €8 at 3:45 am. The receptionist checked us in at 2pm which was appreciated. We stayed on the top floor for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean. Sitting in a jacuzzi watching aeroplanes landing over the sea was very nice.

The guest house is very close to the airport and is in the middle of nowhere which might be an issue for some people, but I didn't hear much noise and we were able to get Uber to Faro city for less than €10. Dinner the first night was appalling. We were very hungry so we all got a starter and a main course. The chef was off that day, so the receptionist cooked. The food seemed like frozen food and tasted like frozen food too, and it was definitely not cheap!!!! Although the hamburger wasn't too bad. We ate in Faro city the second day and only had ham&cheese toasties and a pizza in the guest house at dinner time, which wasn't too bad.

We arrived early but the reception welcomed us and gave us access to the Spa and a free drink to while away the time until our room was ready - even prioritising cleaning our room to help give us access earlier. The facilities are lovely and we also ate at the hotel - food was delicious and wine very well priced too. I booked the hotel as it is so close to the airport that you can easily walk. We had a 4pm checkin which made staying further away riskier in terms of getting a transfer. WHilst the local area is not filled with things to do, the hotel offers more than enough to make a stay very comfortable

Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a drink. I asked for a double bed but we had 2 singles pushed together which kept parting.

It is locadet just a few minutes from the Airport overlooking the river. Beauftiful views. Beautiful common area, pool and spa. Breakfast was good. My room was great. Staff was super friendly! 15 minute Drive to Faro Downtown.

The location is a little bit tricky to find. However with GPS ist should not be an issue at all.

What a great find! If you’re looking for a place to stop-over then look no further than the family owned/run Ria Formosa Guest House. We booked a family room (large with a sofa bed) as we had quite a bit of luggage but in the end just left some of it downstairs so we didn’t need to carry it all up the one flight of stairs. The hotel was built last year so everything is in great condition. The beds are really comfy and the room has a spacious and well equipped ensuite. There is a bar, restaurant area and outdoor pool area with sun loungers. We paid for the continental breakfast which was very good value and included lots of choice both hot and cold. The cost of an Uber either to or from the airport was around 8 Euros although if you only have light luggage you could easily walk. Although it’s close to the airport we were not bothered by any aircraft noise which was a pleasant surprise. We booked through Booking.com and the whole process was easy with great communications from the hotel and a personal and friendly welcome when we arrived. If we are back in Faro looking for an overnight stop near the airport then we wouldn’t look any where other than the Ria Formosa Guest House. Thoroughly recommended.
