Room big enough having nice view to the sea. One of the few hotels having direct access to the sea. Good sport activity possibilities: guided classes, good gym with spinning classes, dive center, tennis court, billiard tables. Hotel has one sauna in the spa and one with indoor swimming pool. Saunas were ok though outdoor swimming pool sauna is for 3 - 4 person and its upper board is weak. I do not recommend 3 big guys at the same time sit there.

Dinner is ok but definitely place for improvement. Portions from grill has way too much salt.

Loved the location. Great for walk into Funchal buses near by and hop on hop off bus. Hotel spacious and clean. Spa on offer snd three outdoor salt water pools with a fantastic view. Breakfast was excellent eggs cooked to order plenty of choice. Evening buffet good but liked the fact you had a credit yo try the other restaurants. Traditional Portuguese 🇵🇹 restaurant was great. Other options Italian or sushi but didn’t try them. Majority of staff friendly and helpful.

The lady at the spa was very rude when we were looking for the indoor pool. I didn’t try any of the spa facilities as she was so rude. Indoor pool is small and bit at the door better signage would be good.

Hotel was very nice. Originally I've booked double room with sea view, however at check in hotel updated my room to the better option for free. Room was good, clean, location as well. Staff is absolutely great, starting from main reception to restaurant service ( guy from reception Ivo thank you for providing all information needed). As it was my birthday hotel surprised me with cake and champagne. It was very nice, thank you. Food was nice and tasty, apart for main food zone hotel got Portuguese, Italian and sushi restaurants.

Everything was good

Good location, very good organized restaurants service, never waited for our drinks or to be seated. Various selection of food for breakfast and dinner, fresh made omelette, porridge, bread, Prosecco….fresh selection of fish, meat, seafood, dessert, fruits…. Good value for money. All rooms facing the ocean, free parking.

Not good soundproof between rooms and balconies. If you have children next door, it can get very noisy. Would be reasonable to make an adult only section for the guest without children. The pool bar is not nice, would not recommend to eat there.

I was visiting with my daughter who is a vegetarian. unfortunately, there was no automatic vegetarian dish in the Ocean restaurant. we had to make do but would have appreciated a vegetarian dish on the menu each day. we didn’t make a special request in advance as we thought that vegetarianism is quite common these days and that a hotel of your standard would have known that and made appropriate provisions.

The location is perfect, the pool area excellent and the staff helpful, professional and welcoming. The grounds really make the Hotel with that wonderful green Maderia touch. Interior is spacious and light with lots of interesting areas to wander round. Bedrooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable having your own large balcony is a bonus. Breakfast & Dinner offer lots of choice changing each day. We had a lovely relaxing time and will return.

Only one thing the tea/coffee stations were constantly over worked there needs to be at least one more if not two.

would have been nice to have dedicated time slots for adults only in the indoor pool. tried to head down a few times during my stay but it was too busy with families making a swim difficult, it was too cold to head to the outdoor pools

Location, access to both pools and sea, we got a room on top floor giving us maximum view. Service and cleaning was great. At dinner and breakfast as well. Staff very attentive. Food quality and selection is amazing. Good mattresses, huge beds, great size of the room. Walking distance to center or Funchal.

Hotel building was renovated around 2012, so insides are a bit worn. If you are looking for luxury, this might not feel like it. But it was not a problem for us at all as all we needed was there.

Spacious room that included everything we needed The staff was friendly and helpful. Infinity pools are amazing, I appreciated that they offer special towels for the pools. Breakfast and dinner very diverse and the food was tasty.

There were no drinks included, not even water at dinner.
