Excellent communication with the hosts from start to finish. They helped to organise both a driver to meet us at the airport and also a warm and welcoming neighbour who greeted us at the property despite the very late hour! A very cute and functional apartment in one of the most beautiful old areas of Lisbon. The apartment is up a steep driveway and tucked away beautifully despite the chaotic beauty of the Lisbon streets happening just a few minutes away. It's a very gorgeous little hideaway. Great restaurants and cafes within 10 minutes walk and several mini markets close by for food and drink. Highly recommend "Copenhagen" coffee shop which has the BEST coffee and pastries - 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The little shared courtyard is very pretty and we loved sitting there at the end of the day and enjoying a quiet drink. This is a gem of a place - highly recommend.

Don't change a thing!

We really appreciated the attention to detail in this well-appointed and excellent located apartment. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with high-quality appliances including a coffee maker, toaster, stove with oven, dishwasher, and access to a communal clothes washer. The kitchen had all the essentials - pots, pans, and even cooking and coffee staples, which were a nice touch. The A/C worked beautifully, and the lighting throughout the apartment was excellent. We especially loved the premium, soft towels, a cozy luxury! A shout out to both Olinda and Theresa who were both welcoming and attentive!

A quick note for future guests: the apartment involves multiple flights of stairs to access, and the bedroom is located on an additional upper level. This might be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns.

Beautiful property and a great way to experience living near the locals. We were greeted by their neighbor Olinda who has the keys, was super friendly lovely lady. Owner is also very friendly and very responsive. The property is very clean, cute and very spacious with a separate living room as well as a nice little nook to sit and relax/read. Two bathrooms really helped. Bedrooms are upstairs. The front patio (as seen on main pics) is common and there's another small personal patio behind the living room, the walls of which are from the 13th century! The living room also has sleeping arrangements so essentially 6 people can comfortably accommodate. Location is also very good, about 15 min walk down to Rua Augusta,Praca commercia etc. But very close to Alfama and to couple of lovely Miraduoros. All in all we loved staying here.

As such nothing that we didn't like. We didn't want to cook but we couldn't find pots and pans. I'm sure they were there somewhere or if we had asked the owner, he would've shown us, since the kitchen was otherwise fully equipped with stove and even some cooking basics like oil etc. Just something people may want to plan for /ask ahead of time if intend to cook. Also, the bedroom upstairs didn't have a door Incase anyone is looking for privacy.

Location was excellent. Host, cleaner, and the sweet older lady who met us to deliver the keys were all very helpful and friendly.

The apartment is located up a complicated driveway. It's easy to find with their maps, but still requires some work to get to. Not at all a deal-breaker for my family, but I would consider a different location if a party member has mobility issues. Personally I enjoyed the workout, and it's hard to find a rental in Lisbon that is located in a perfectly flat area.

It is a very nice, hidden-away property, out of the hustle and bustle of the city. We had no problems getting to the property from the airport with a taxi, and we took an Uber back to the airport. Steep walk up from main road to property, but was not a problem - lots of uphills at any rate in Lisbon! The lady that met us was very friendly and although she only spoke Portuguese, that was no problem. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Nice courtyard where you can sit, relax, and eat if the weather is nice. A bonus was that we could use a washing machine that is in the courtyard. For the staircase inside going up to the bedroom, there is a switch to illuminate the stairs at night (both at the bottom and at the top, just keep the switch in for a couple of seconds to put the lights on), which helps a lot at night. Very quick walk to Alfama district as well as into the old city. There is a small Mini Preco supermarket a couple of minutes walk away, and a bigger supermarket Pingo Doce Graca about 10 minutes walk in the same direction.

Beautiful little house in a perfect location on the footsteps of the Sao Vincente church. it is secluded in a charming patio which is quiet and very safe. The lovely neighbor Ollinda welcomed us and showed us around and was available if we needed any help. The house was beautifully decorated with mid century modern furniture. Bathroom and kitchen are extremely practical and cute. We’ll come again!

The apartment was compact but well designed & provided everything we needed for our stay. Great decor and in a good location close to bars & restaurants. Friendly, welcoming host

Not a dislike, but both the apartment and the bedroom are at the top of a steep driveway/staircase-therefore could be difficult to access for older, less mobile guests

The entire property was gorgeous. The apartment was lovely and comfortable with great air conditioning. The patio was such a lovely addition as well, we even stayed in a few nights to cook and enjoy the patio. The location is great for site seeing. The monastery just outside was one of our favourite tourist sites in all of Lisbon, and on Saturdays and Tuesday there is a massive market right outside. The hosts were so helpful and accommodating, and had someone meet us to drop our bags before check in since we arrived at an early flight. They even managed to get us an earlier check in time by about 2 hours. Couldn’t have asked for nicer! Also the women who met us, Olinda, was absolutely wonderful. She didn’t speak a lick of English but she still locked arms with me and chatted with me like we were old friends.

Not specifically about the property, but The location is in a very hilly section of the city with small streets. If you are in relatively good shape you’ll be fine, if a little tired walking home from dinner. there is also the famous tram 28 that passes right by the house. We took it a few times to get around and save our legs. If you have mobility issues this might not be the place for you.

We loved everything about Patio São Vicente. In all our years traveling, it was our favorite! We stayed in a smaller apartment until our family arrived where we upgraded to an apartment that was perfect for our 5 adults. The design style and execution is well done (we are architects). Amenities provided - perfect. Loved the charming patio setting well set off the street - very quiet and private. We also loved the location in Alfama and near Graço for nice for grocery shopping and restaurant choices. Having the Monastery next door was ideal for meeting Uber.

We were sleep-deprived upon arrival and our cognitive skills challenged, and I struggled to find the photos the owner said he sent that described where the courtyard patio was in relation to the monastery and street. You have to walk up the asphalt driveway and walk, across a parking area then down a short alley to the patio. Sometimes WhatsApp is easier to communicate through rather than Booking.com. The owner was patient with me. I do wish the owner would have communicated the painting going on while there. It was a little awkward for our friend in her shared apt rental. The painters did not use drop cloths and we were shocked at the amount of paint on the patio paving when they finished. They got paint on the stone threshold of the shared apartment and used sandpaper to remove it.

Great location, lovely apartment. It is true that the walk up is a little steep, but manageable. We loved being close to the centre and Alfama, specifically the Pantheon and the Saturday morning market place. Even though it is central, it was very quiet at night, which we appreciated. There is also a bigger supermarket nearby.

It was a little unclear how to store our luggage on check-out day. The hosts were very quick and helpful to solve this problem though. The stairs to the bedroom area are steep, so just take care. We would stay here again anytime.
