Location is very convenient, but be forewarned that it is near Martim Moniz which can be a bit gritty for some guests. Lots of immigrants and export companies, but ultimately a safe neighborhood. Also in June there are many festivities happening literally outside the hotel windows so it was very noisy until 3am for 3 of the 4 nights I stayed. Luckily I brought my own earplugs, and it was only after I checked in that the hotel staff kept warning me via whatsapp. Easy to walk everywhere and explore including the Castelo St Jorge, Alfama, Chiado, Avenida Liberdade. Local places and tourist places. Lots of ethnic foods including Chinese, Japanese, Nepalese restaurants near Martim Moniz. Apartment was well-stocked. Kitchen had pots, pans, dishes, etc. so you could cook. Oven, Refrigerator. Happy surprises was dishwasher and washing/drying machine for clothes. Their website does not make all these appliances clear but these are huge advantages. There was also dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and dishwasher tabs. (Other apartments I stayed in were very stingy and did not provide these basic items). Shower and bathtub all very nice.

Location is on a very narrow busy street, so be careful about unloading your suitcases from the taxi. The staff will come out to help you. If you have young children, be aware. As an adult traveler, it was fine. Martim Moniz is gritty and a bit lower class. Also homeless. Ultimately it is safe, but be mentally prepared. Hotel is next to Mouraria neighborhood which during June holidays was very noisy. People and music bands playing music until 3-4am. Hotel could have provided earplugs or have extra insulation for noise. I brought my own earplugs and was tired enough to sleep, plus I was on holiday so it was not too big a problem. But if you were long-staying and working, I think the noise could've been a problem.

The property was lovely and we had everything we needed for a lovely city break.

Nothing really. However, be sure to take a screen shot of the price stated on the Booking.com website. I was quoted one price, but charged over £200 more by booking.com on my credit card. They said nothing could be done, as I hadn’t taken a screen shot of the price originally quoted.

The apartment location was extremely convenient to many restaurants, shops, and attractions. It was a very easy walk to the Metro, which provided links to multiple locations around Lisbon and beyond. Laura from Sitio dos Cavaleiros Apartments was extremely friendly and provided a plethora of information about dining options and things to do around Lisbon. The apartment was extremely well furnished and very comfortable. It allowed for the opportunity to exerpience the wonderful views and sounds of the of the very quaint street below, but also was extremely quiet when the windows were closed. The historic #12 tram passes directly past the apartment and it is a quick walk to to pick-up point. Additionally, If you don't mind walking up hill, Saint George's castle and many other attractions are a short distance away. The busy Baixa District, with it's multiple restaurants, shops, and ocean views can be easily reached via a short walk or via tram or metro. The Rossio train staion can also easily be accessed on foot or metro. Overall, the experience was extremely enjoyable and the apartment provided almost all of the comforts of home.

I can't really think of anything that could have improved the stay.

Super well thought out, comfortable accommodations complete with directions for using laundry facilities. Easy to come and go from. Shops and restaurants nearby. Warm welcoming hostess Laura! Good communications through WhatsApp.

It's well located within walking distance of lots of great places. Neighborhood has a few nice shops but you do walk through a not so nice section to get back to your place for some of these and if you are fussy about that you might choose another place. Also there is an outdoor party next door that can run until 1:30am so may be ideal or awful for you depending on if you like to party. You can join in if you like!

Beautifully presented apartment which was well decorated and all kitchen and coffee plus coffee equipment provided. Great guidance given by the ladies who meet and greet you as to where to go. It is located near to the castle and in the opposite direction a 10 minute walk to the square for tram 28 stop and the metro. Close to a local supermarket which is based in the square. However the street the apartment is based in has many small shops including a health food shop and well stocked fruit and veg shop so you can easily pick up anything you need.

The tram runs in front of the property and if you are in the room at the front there will rumbling while it runs. Walking down to the square from where you catch the 28 tram and which you cross over to find the restaurants there are homeless people making their beds in within the cardboard and is a meeting point for people who have migrated to Lisbon. It did not feel threatening or unsafe walking around in the evening but as other reviewers have stated, it is a fact for this area and something to be aware of.

The staff, in particular Laura Costa, were pleasant and very helpful. Although Lisbon is a stretched-out city with multiple centres, the location of this apartment is excellent for planning a city-wide trip. The apartment itself is excellent, brand-new, and well fitted out. Good places for breakfast nearby. In early June, the Lisbon Festival is held nearby for two evenings. A lttle noisy but not very late and a very enjoyable, local crowd. Just join the dances; the Portugese are fun loving, relaxed and forgiving (for my poor dancing).

The staff was super friendly and helpful with many recommendations on where to go and eat. The apartment was sparkling clean. The bathroom and kitchen were very modern. The wifi was super fast.

The rooms were tiny but manageable. The apartment is in the city center close to everything, but the neighborhood is full of homeless people sleeping on the street and doing drugs, but it is not dangerous. We felt safe. There is a lot of garbage throughout the neighborhood.

As a frequent traveler, this place was just amazing. Definitely recommend booking it. Its basically a full apartment and they have every detail you need- from cups to laundry detergent. I had everything i needed for my comfort. The unit was nice and bright.

The location is a bit far from the Bairro Alto the main area of parties (20 mins walk on stairs) if you are into bars, parties and gay area. Its also 20m away from gyms. I also did not like the policy of "we have to clean your room everyday". Felt like they are just trying to enter the unit to check in on you with subtext of cleaning. I think that policy needs to change and the guest should have the ability to say- do not disturb me today.

The apartment was extremely clean, updated, modern, lovely and new appliances. Host (Laura) was terrific. My only minus was the location. Not as convenient or central- the neighborhood a bit too busy, a little noisy at night- very urban neighborhood.

Location- not as many local places to eat/ shop. All the markets for grocery/fruit were "mini marts" and had all the same items. I would have liked the location to have had a larger grocery store nearby.

Lisbon is expensive and although we paid more for this property than any other property we stayed at in Portugal, I have to say that it exceeded our expectations. The apartment smelt and looked new, and everything worked beautifully. There was even a spa bath! We appreciated the aircon and the extra touches such as good quality liquid soup and shampoo. We didn't have a 'view' as our apartment looked onto a back street/parking area but is was pleasant and quaint and part of the charm. Very centrally located, there is a food store 3 min away at the bottom of the road and plenty of access to local transport. Walking distance to everywhere important. Very strongly recommended!

For this price, there should be salt and pepper and oil in the cupboards. Otherwise, everything was good!
