Breakfast on the rooftop. The friendliness of the staff. The ideal location. Comfortable bed and room.
A few minor points. Lift not working for five of the days we were there. Stairs sometimes had loose strips on edges. Lovely rooftop garden but closed during the day even to sit and read a book. Breakfast for six mornings was fine, but didn’t change greatly. Cooked food tepid. Not much of the latter for vegetarians. On at least one morning could the quiche not have been meat free, could the eggs be varied and some substitute for the two meat options?

This is a centrally located boutique hotel on a small side street just off Rossio square and Restauradores square - both Metro stations, which makes it easy to reach all of Lisbon really easily. Even a taxi ride from Rossio to the Airport was less than € 15 (including surcharge and taxes). The building itself is very old - you need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the reception. There is an elevator from there but it did not work (and even if it did: it is more useful for visitors of the roof top bar than for reaching guest rooms). The rooms are modern and beautifully decorated - each room devoted to a part of town or to one feature of Lisbon - we loved the well-planned shower, the large bed and the large french window in our room. Each day they provide you with a bottle of filtered water. The rooftop bar is one of the best and most popular features of that hotel - they serve breakfast there and it is great to sit there in the afternoon to enjoy the view over Lisbon's town center, the castle and the cathedral. The rooftop terrace seems to be the place where the wifi works best.
As said before: There are a lot of stairs to be climbed - but the staff is very helpful, they carried the bags to our room. The wifi could be a little more reliable in the guest rooms. And what I missed most was a desk to work on.

Location was superb. Right in the heart of the city. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The rooftop bar was fabulous along with the very substantial breakfast. Lovely friendly staff and amazing value for money. We will definitely be back.
Just be aware of the stairs. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties or unsteady on their feet. The very small lift goes from floor 1 to 4 only but if you don't mind this, I would highly recommend the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days during my trip to Lisbon, and it was a great choice! The location is perfect — close to everything, including the meeting points for both of the day tours I joined. You can walk to many of the city's top attractions, restaurants, and viewpoints, which made exploring so easy and enjoyable.
One small suggestion: it would be nice to have a bit more variety in the breakfast, as it was the same each day during my stay. That said, I understand it’s a small boutique inn, so it’s totally understandable.

This is a very interesting hotel to stay in. It's all about art, so the building itself is quite interesting. I liked how they played around with Lisbon history theme and incorporated older bricks into the modern slick design of the hotel itself. The feeling of art theme around you is definitely a plus! The rooms are surprisingly spacious, usually we have smaller rooms in this kind of hotels. You have all the amenities you might need, the beds are excellent, everything was perfect. I stayed in other hotels in Lisbon too, but this one gets less noise from the streets due to its unique architecture and room structure. The hotel is located in the busy neighborhood, but the very street it's on is quite small and relatively quiet. The roof top restaurant is perfect with its view! Breakfast with Lisbon rooftops is certainly something you need to experience while in the city.
There is no elevator (at least when I was there), so you will need to go up and down by stairs with your suitcases, so be aware of this. It might be a problem if you have like really huge and heavy luggage, but generally that's not a big deal, and the hotel is really worth it. Besides, guys at the reception are more than willing to help you out with it. Since the rooftop is a restaurant that is opened to the general public, you will hear the music from there in your room til 11 pm. After that, it's fine.

The hotel is in an old renovated building, so the layout is very interesting, which we really liked. The staff was excellent, and were extremely helpful answering all our questions and helping us to maximize our time in Lisbon! The location is perfect! It's right in the middle of everything, with sights, restaurants, attractions, stores, the metro... everything close by! The breakfast was very good, and we loved eating it on the roof. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and pleasant.
We wanted to try the restaurant for dinner, but it was unavailable due to being booked for private events while we were there. That was our only complaint, and it's very minor because there are so many good restaurants nearby within walking distance.

Love the location. This is in the older part of Lisbon and the first 22 steps to reception with luggage was a killer! The hotel has lots of charm but is intended for folks who are in good physical shape!! Staff is very helpful and attentive and resolves issues quickly. Breakfast is served on the rooftop-- 60 plus steps but there is a single person elevator on the reception floor. Breakfast offered a variety of food- hot and cold with juices and coffee.
The steps to get to reception and the rooftop.

The whole Inn was beautifully done and very welcoming. Our room was beautiful as well and the air conditioning kept it perfectly cool. The young man at the desk was very nice and extremely helpful. We had dinner and drinks at the Roof Top Bar and the service and food were very good. We purchased one of their signature water bottles to bring home - I love looking at it (being used as a vase) as a reminder of our time in Portugal.
It was out of the Inn's control but the lift wasn't working during our stay.

The Art Inn is in a great location right near Rossio Square and the Rossio Metro, all the staff are super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the roof top bar was amazing for both breakfast and an end of the evening drink. The staff and location make this the perfect place to stay while in Lisbon.
There are a lot of stairs - but we could overlook the stairs because of the all over atmosphere and location.

The staff was excellent, very good location, the room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good, the same every day but complete, there is a variety to choose from…
On the top floor there is a bar with an excellent view where there can be a bit of noise at night and perhaps for some people it can make it uncomfortable when sleeping but in my opinion it is not enough noise to disturb my sleep... also It closes early so don't worry too much... Another thing that may not be very pleasant is that there is a long flight of stairs to get to my room which may not be ideal for elderly people but there is an elevator for one person that takes 2 minutes to go up 4 floors. If you don't have any ailment that prevents you from climbing stairs, you shouldn't worry at all, there are only 4 floors.
